The breakfast was OK but the times from 8 to 10 am were too early for me. For those who like to breakfast early, it is really very good.

A longer breakfast time like until 11:30 am would have been better. There was the offer of a dinner event for new year. My family and I took this offer. This was very expansive 70€/person and was not worth it at all. They contracted a piano player to play in the dinner and this was horrible. Was like a funeral party. Really horrible. As the pianist started to sing this was a complete desaster. So if somebody goes to this hotel, never accept their extra offers because they will trick you with the prices as this would be something amazing, worth the price, but it is not.

This hotel is the perfect base for three days of walking in the surrounding hills. The view from the room puts you in the right frame of mind then the hearty breakfast sets you up for an active day. Everything was calean and tidy. The tourist information office next to the hotel have a complete catalogue of well illustrated local walks.

No real problems but sometimes when we wanted help or advice there was no one on reception to talk to. We didn't realize that the tourist office next door provided very helpful maps of local walks until our last day but no problem one of our party had the All-Trails App so we found great routes anyway

The hotel in a quiet part of town, very easy to find, right next to Tourist information. Parking directly out the front. The linen clean , pillows comfortable.. Wifi and TV excellent. Breakfast very good and enough choices. Great little restaurant up the street, called Central. Menu of the day. 2 courses with wine under 30 Euros. The best part of the hotel is the incredible view, from the room and on the top terrace,

We really enjoyed our stay in Manteigas. The room was comfortable and super clean, and view from our window was amazing! All rooms can also use roof-top hotel terrace with the same amazing view which was great for chilling. We appreciated local cheese for the breakfast

The bathroom in our room was a glass box (partly transparent), which might not be comfortable for all pairs of travelers. The coffee for the breakfast wasn't good, but coffee in the restaurant was delicious.

Perfect location in the centre of the village. The hotel should be rated more than 2 stars. The view is superb from each of the room, amazing roof top, great restaurant, though it closes at 21:00, which is a shame. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the staff incredibly helpful, friendly and extremely professional. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would love to return.

Decent hotel with superb view on the mountains! Modern rooms with included bathroom & shower. Kind staff and and a vast breakfast buffet. Parking facilities on the main road in front of the hotel. Next door is a reasonably-priced restaurant with local cuisine. Great starting point to hike and explore the Serra Estrela! Staff followed strictly the Covid-19 regulations.

First of all, I didnt't get paid to make any positive/negative comment. The hotel is very central in Manteigas. The Town is itself in the heart of the National park of Serra da Estrela. For those who crave night life, stay in Covilhã. For those craving shopping stay in bigger cities like Lisbon. For those craving beach stay in the Algarve or any costal town. Manteigas is for food and nature lovers, who crave delicious food, breathtaking scenery and beautiful hiking trails. There is a few you can do, starting right from Manteigas (Rota das Faias e covão da Ametade, just to name a few). That being said and the hotel being right in the center of the town, it is the perfect place to drop your bags and just go explore. Nonetheless, Hotel da Vila has a lot more to offer than just a wonderful place to sleep. It's restaurant has a beautiful view and a great variety of local dishes made with fresh local produce. We tried other restaurants in the town but this one was by far the greatest. It also has a very nice roof top where you can sit with a warm thick wool blanket, also provided by the hotel and enjoy a glass of wine that you can pick from their bar located at the ground floor. This hotel is recently build in a modern architecture, very eclectic, mixing both old and modern decoration. Our room had great views to the mountains, a little balcony and excellent isolation from the outside noises and cold temperatures. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom tub was an excellent way to relax after our long hicks. Overall the place was extremely clean, the personnel was very nice and polite. Breakfast was also served in a room with great views of the valley and the continental breakfast was healthy with great home made pastries and cupcakes. If this is not enough to make you stay, nothing else will. My kids loved it and they are hard to please. I know we will go back for sure!

Good location, comfortable bed, easy parking outside the hotel and a good attached restaurant. There is a lovely roof terrace for hotel guests with blankets provided if you are cold.

Odd glass-wallled toilet and shower arrangement in the room is not great unless you travel alone because it gives virtually no privacy.

Modern rooms almost in the town centre, but well reachable by car and with unproblematic parking (on the street). Our room was not large, but well planned and furnished, so there was enough place for everything. Great views. Excellent breakfast - the best one we had during our stay in Portugal. We could check-in still before the official check-in hours.

WC and shower are just a glass box in the room corner. Perhaps modern and place saving, but not everyone's favourite.

Toilet with glass walls in the room. It's ok going onto the balcony every time in Summer but Winter could be a bit cold. It's not the worst thing and manageable but is a bit too close for comfort!
