Choosing EMAJ for our New Year's Eve celebration was the best choice we could make. We were greeted with the kindest staff, who answered all of our questions and made sure our stay was as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The rooms are designed with taste and convenience in mind. There is no item that does not have its purpose. We were blown away with the size of our bathroom and bathtub - possibly the best bathroom design out of the hotels I've stayed in. The room is a comfortable temperature, and the temp control panel actually works, so you can adjust it without an issue. The beds are large and comfy, so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. The hallways are quiet, and the windows are well isolated from the outside noise. It was an overall aesthetic pleasure that was matched with the quality of the amenities offered. This is a luxury experience for a very fair price. We look forward to returning to EMAJ again at the nearest opportunity.

Only having one power plug available for two people in the room was not ideal to charge more than two devices. Maybe it can be something to consider improving long-term. The breakfast was delicious, but considering the overall excellence of the hotel amenities, design, and conditions, we would expect a little more variety.

Lovely hotel in excellent location stayed in 301 .Air conditioning is very good. Bath and separate shower .Bed comfy and large 2 comfy chairs and a very tv ideal for when it was too hot in the 40s one thing there's a large step up into the hotel and have code to open late at night the problem is you have to stand on the step to reach up to put your code in .another thing you had to get out of bed to turn lights off and on.

One thing which is not good for a lovely hotel is that the breakfast room needs updating a bit dark and dinghy. Food good choices mostly continental but pancakes and omelette made to order coffee from a machine not good .

The hotel was in a wonderful location. staff helpful and courteous. The only issue was there was some type of flying insect that was in our room, particularly the bathroom that made us uncomfortable. The room was spacious and comfortable otherwise.

The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was quality and gave a good start to each day. Location is great for easy access to all of town. We truly enjoyed every aspect of staying at EMAJ and will absolutely stay here again when we return.

EMAJ checked every box we could expect from a boutique hotel. There is nothing I can say we didn't like about our experience.

Location is perfect in the centre of Guimarães. The room is nice with space to move around. The hotel was a bank and was a historical place. It has been renovated especially the bathroom area. I guess the table in the room was the old desk used by the teller which if true is amazing. It has double window to ensure the room was quiet even facing the main street. Breakfast included was fine.

Wonderful gorgeous and very clean Great location! Awesome bathtub! High ceilings. Used to be an old bank. Beautiful views and many balconies . Wonderful breakfast! Very helpful staff!

The sound of the cars moving close creates an echo and a vibration. Not super quiet. But there are not many cars going by.

We really well catered here at Emaj. Not only was the hotel incredibly central, the room brilliantly big but the the staff went to extra lentgh to make sure that they were even gluten free options for us at breakfast, which has not been common in Potugal.

The room color was just a bit too green.

The location was very near the historic centre. The room was clean and pretty, with historic features. Breakfast was very good.

There were only 2 tiny paper cups, so you had to decide if you wanted a tiny coffee or for use in the bathroom.

Staff is absolutely welcoming and they gave us lots of tips. Surroundings are very nice and the hotel is located in the pure centre. We never used our car while there.

Breakfast only starts at 7am; they could do some breakfast packages for people who have to travel bring with them

- Double-Bed and Twin-Beds options are in the same quote in the booking process. This makes it hard to specify the customer's preference (more so if the 'special request' text box is already in use). Twin beds was our final result - not the end of the world, but not ideal either; - Not possible to access the restaurant or breakfast facilities; again, not all that bad for travellers who enjoy breakfast in bed.
