Hotel is excellent, great value for money, very pleasant and helpful staff, spacious and confortable rooms, good breakfast, and parking. We had a great stay!

It seems that eggs were made of powder, and had a strange smell, there was also no salad (tomatos or cucumbers). Pillows in our room were rather thin. Everything else was great.

The inside of this hotel looks newly renovated. Beautiful bar on the top floor with a great view. Good breakfast. Staff is helpful. Free underground parking. Easy walk into the historical centre.

There is no light switch for the bathroom. The motion sensor light stays on after you leave and eventually turns off. Of you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night the light will blind you and potentially wake your partner. The heat/cool system has no instructions. Had to call the desk. Would be helpful to have basic instructions posted on the control. We asked for a quiet room. Ok, it was away from the elevator but facing the street side ( some street noise. Thankfully it's a small town) and on the 1 st floor. Usually, hotels try to put you in a corner room, higher floor if facing the street or a non street facing room.

Very nice hotel, newly refurbished with amazing Guimaraes city view ! Nice location on the top of the city. Close walking distance to old city centre, also close to supermarket. Our room was on the 10th floor superior with an amazing panoramic view - very large and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and a large shower. The bed was large & comfortable ! The Breakfast was also good for 3* hotel but needs a bit more selection of fresh vegetables and fried bacon :-)

We would suggest to make hotel restaurant working also in the evening for dinners as it was a bit difficult to find cafe / restaurant to eat at this area.

Very good place to stay, much beyond a 3 star hotel. I stayed 5 nights and I could stay more! Clean, comfortable, quiet and big room, very good location with 3 minutes walk to train station and supermarket, super fast silent elevators! Very good and enough breakfast in a panoramic view saloon. The view of the rooms were also amazing. It is much more than a business hotel, it could be assumed as vacation hotel!

Nothing! Everything was good. Coffee and Omelette in breakfast were good, BUT could easily be improved to "perfect"!

This hotel does not have enough garage spaces for the number of guests coming to this accommodation. We were told, that if there was no garage space we could put our car in the hotel next door, since they belong to the same group. However, the space is not covered and is quite far from the hotel entrance, as you have to drive your car down a long slope to the back of the other hotel. Of the 3 times we needed to park the car in the hotel garage, we were only able to park it once.

Very good and convenient location near station and cultural centre. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms.

We would have appreciated a kettle in the room. We requested glúten free options but all that was provided was one (very hard and dry) white bread roll in a plastic cover. It was disappointing. The sensors in the public toilet in the ground floor are badly programmed. The depend on the activation of movement in the sink area. When in the toilet you can get in the dark without a way of activating the lights on.

Hotel Fundador is a favourite of mine in Guimarães. Close to the train station, but still in walking distance from the centre, the hotel is very comfortable for a 3* and features amazing views over the city and the surroundings. Large, modern, and spotlessly clean rooms, strong wi-fi signal. Good breakfast offer.
