bathrooms a bit small

Really wonderful staff. Yasyr at the reception made us feel truly welcomed. Breakfast team was also very courteous and upbeat. Breakfast buffet was simple fare, but fresh and delicious (plus for fresh fruits and bread)! We ended up staying an extra night. Great location. The room was clean. Comfortable bed. Great air conditioner. Ok dryer.

The sink and shower drains were holding water. A real pitty, because the room in general was very clean. The downside of the central location was the noise. Also, we ended up in the room adapted for individuals with disabilities, which was on the ground floor by the reception and lobby bathrooms, so the noise from comings and goings was non stop through the night...

The hotel is well-situated in the old town. The furniture is a bit old (especially a wardrobe), but the rooms with a balcony had a nice charm and street view. A very comfortable bed. The cleaning service was excellent. Breakfast was convenient and sufficient. A very nice hotel personnel. The hotel felt overall safe and welcoming. Well-priced for the received value.

As mentioned in other reviews, noise from streets is a huge issue. We knew about this problem and chose this hotel anyway for its lower price and location. However, I slept every night with ear plugs. Without ear plugs I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. If you don’t mind it, I highly recommend this hotel. If you don’t want to sleep with ear plugs, consider other options or maybe rooms without a balcony. Everything else was good or great. Here are only other areas for improvements: 1) enriching breakfast with some pastries and more vegetables; 2) replacing an old (and a bit stinky) wardrobe with new one.

We were only expecting a basic room, as we rented last minute and chose something super affordable. We just needed a place to shower and sleep but when we arrived we were blown away. the room we got was huge, clean, had a sofa, fridge and a huge terrace on the fourth floor with lounge chairs and a view of the city. We spent the evening on our rooftop terrace enjoying bruschetta and wine and watching a beautiful sunset over the city. Then we went out on foot and enjoyed Lagos night life. The hotels location was perfect right in the centre of old town.

Obviously this property did not have parking as it is situated in old town. So that is really the only negative. However, there was a giant free parking lot a 10 minute walk away and we parked our campervan there and it was completely safe.

The location was very good, really in the heart of the old city. We stayed on the top floor so it was relatively quiet (depends on the night, but not until late). The staff was super friendly and helpful:) we had clean towels every day and a decent breakfast. There is a mini fridge in the room.

The facilities could be in a better condition generally speaking but it was not inconvenient. Fair price.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, in a street just off the main square. The staff are very friendly & helpful & the room was fresh & clean. The breakfast was great & included in the room price, a buffet of scrambled & boiled eggs, beans, little frankurts, cheese, ham, toast, bread rolls, cereals & whole pieces of fruit. I would definitely stay here again.

The experience at Hotel Riomar was very pleasant. The room surprised by its spaciousness, hygiene and comfort. The team is extremely dedicated and professional. A special thanks to Yasir for his friendliness and support in responding to any request immediately! It was an experience that greatly exceeded expectations due to the whole set of comfort, location and Yasir's friendliness and professionalism!

Very good value for your money! Great location everything is nearby. The street can be quite loud but staff offered us earplugs (I guess you can’t avoid loud environment if you book a place to stay in the town centre!) Great views from the 5th floor balcony. Friendly staff and the breakfast was also good. We would definitely stay again.

The only mid-range traditional hotel in the old town, this was excellent value. Room had balcony in afternoon sun which was bonus.

Some guests were a bit noisy at night but previous reviews have exaggerated the problem. Electronic safe not working - instructed to consult reception presumably for manual key but as time was short didn't try. Would be nice if this was fixed.

Very good location. Wasn't as noisy as people complained. It is completely normal that in the center there are people moving in the streets and at night you can hear a bit of noise. The hotel was a bit older retro style, but for us it was a positive thing - a nice feeling of local life. We were lucky with the room - very good city view from the balcony.
