After a long day of traveling, this BnB was a welcome relief. They provided a glass (tasting) of wine when we arrived and had a bottle available for purchase right in the room. The garden/courtyard/kitchen were lovely and were a nice place to get water/tea at any time. We arrived late and had a contactless checkin, but the process was super simple and convenient. The room was clean and had a private balcony. The beds were super comfortable and the AC was much appreciated. Cleaning staff were available if we needed extra towels or toilet paper. The location was a quick walk to the trolley/public transit and there were many restaurants/cafes nearby. Highly recommend!

No elevator, but that was fine for our group. Just a heads up if you need accessibility.

My family and I spent 5 nights in Lisbon and were looking for a good local value hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a double bed room with a private bathroom that was inside the room. The staff at the hotel (especially Anitha) were friendly. The breakfast buffet had good options - eggs, bacon, cereal, bread, juices and coffee. The room we had was clean and the staff did a great job cleaning up every day. The bathroom shower is a bit small, but nothing to complain about. The hotel does not have an elevator - but this did not surprise us. The steps are narrow and a bit steep - but adds character. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from Intedente metro station (easy way to get to Commercial Square, Rossio Train Station - for train to Sintra, etc.) and a 10 minutes walk to the starting point of Tram 28 at Martim Moniz. There are a few good restaurants close by as well for dinner. If we return to Lisbon, we will stay at this hotel again.

Nothing major to complain. Other reviewers have complained about Rua Dos Anjos, the street on which the property is located, but we did not face any safety issues or felt threatened. The street is narrow, but definitely not unsafe. Other complaints such as narrow staircase, lack of elevator and smaller bathrooms can be overlooked if you consider Lisbon is the second oldest capital city in Europe and lot of properties are smaller compared to the U.S.

Everything is very clean and in good shape. The staff is very helpful and easily available via WhatsApp. The courtyard is very nice, I wish I had more time to hang out there. Generally the house has a very pleasant atmosphere. The air conditioning works well. The location is close to the metro and well connected. Yes, the room has a bunk bed but because of that you actually have some space in the room to move around and have your stuff somewhere.

They should make it more clear that the initial value on the wine card is not complimentary, but they will charge you afterwards for what you use.

An outstanding design hotel. I feel so happy with the service during my stay in Lisbon at The Lisbon Whine House. Comfortable, nice atmosphere hotel at a reasonable price in an easy access to metro stations, bus and Lisbon main attractions; despite not having 24 hours reception, Carolina and Joana did help with taxi transfer from the airport, some printouts and restaurants recommendations; also I want to highlight the nice and delicious breakfast Zayuka prepared every morning and the room cleaning. Wifi connection was very good from different points of the hotel, very useful for work or videoconferencing. The wine dispenser with some of the best Portuguese wines for you to taste is a fantastic idea.

During summer time, in the wines area, it would be great to have a small fridge with cold soft drinks available for customers to buy. No lift, but I was aware of it in advance.

I really didn't care for the bathroom down the hall. I locked myself out of the room on my first visit to the toilet. Then I learned to take the proper key AND my cell phone. Neighborhood seemed a tad sketchy so, as a solo female, I didn't feel comfortable walking after dark.

The location of the accommodation is perfect. Most attractions you can do on foot and there are restaurants / supermarkets nearby with easy access. Our room was small, clean and with good lighting. We had a nice common area.

The bathroom was separate from the accommodation and extremely small with no window to ventilate. In the room there is no minibar, but the accommodation provides their refrigerator that is in the common area to be used. (We had trouble accessing the fridge once as it was locked and we couldn't get our wine. The owner attended to us promptly and sent someone to open the fridge, as there was no staff in the accommodation). Basically I only saw the receptionist of the accommodation in the morning.

Clean, quiet, well-designed and sleek-looking, small room that was very comfortable and perfect for the one night stay we had in Lisbon. Very good breakfast in lovely terrace-area with lemon trees and birds singing. Small restaurants and shops in neighborhood with Lidl grocery store not far.

I prefer the bathroom in my room and this was private but outside the room, across the hall. It was very clean, like the entire property, but I wouldn't reserve a room w/o bath inside room again. The property offers it inside room but was already booked. Also, like many places in Europe, there is no lift, so you will carry your suitcases up the stairs yourself. Pack light! The staff did assist, which was so helpful. Last note, if you buy wine and plan to travel by air, make sure it goes in checked luggage bc otherwise you can't take it with. I made that mistake and wish I had known that. It would be great if the hotel staff would remind people. It isn't their responsibility but would have helped me.

The room design and general atmosphere of the place were exceptional. Everything was stylish and well thought. Self check-in was relatively well organized.

The extra services offered were lacking in organization or general smoothness. Due to our early flight we ordered a transfeer service which was 3x the cost of a taxi. As things happen in southern Europe, our transfer (a third party) was obivously nowhere to be seen at requested time. Hotel helped in organizing a Bolt as replacement, but when the transfer arrived 20 minutes after the requested time and we had already departed, they wanted us to disembark on a random street remote from the hotel and move to the transfer, which was still nowhere to be seen. They rembuised the money for the transfer later on, to stay on the positive side.

The guest house is located at 10min walking to downtown and next to an underground station. The rooms are clean, with all the needed and wider enough. The house indeed is pretty clean everywhere. The decoration has a personal touch. The breakfast corner is a small terrace with chillout music, where you can sit back and relax. Definitely this place is a smart choice for budget travel at Lisbon. The self checkin/checkout is a plus when traveling with no agenda.
