The hotel is at a great location, away from the busy downtown (meaning it's quite and peaceful) yet so close if you want to venture out (quite close to the green and yellow lines, and a bus stop just outside the hotel). The staff was amazing, very available and ready to offer suggestions for things to do in Lisbon (Shout out to Julio, Adriana and Eduardo).

The pillows are really hard (that's not a big deal for a few days stay). The breakfast was good but may be they could change something on the menu every other day to break the monotony

The receptionist Mr Ricardo Rodrigues..He was the best.He helped us a lot.good info.good tips.He speaks very good english.Without him we would have wasted a lot of time looking for places to visit and where to take the bus..tickets etc.Very kind,friendly and helpful.Special thanks to him.The hotel was clean and the rooms are spacious

we arrived in Lisbon early morning and i requested to check in earlier at noon..but i was said that if i want early checkin,I had to pay extra for this!I was not even proposed to leave the lugguage in the hotel until 4 (the normal checkin time ).I was surprised that the person who answered my message via booking,told me that this would not be a big issue for us as we were staying 3 night in the hotel..which was none of her bussiness! I asked for help and that was the answer.Anyway we were very disappointed..being a genius member(level 3 )now,I think that these type of request could be taken into consideration! Breakfast was too way expensive.We didnt have any.

Hotel is nice, well located and staff is very friendly, I firstly had an issue with the reservation that was showing as cancelled on their system but staff was able to retrieve it without any issues. For the category of the hotel it meets expectations. Shower is good and was not blocked.

The room I was given apparently has some mold in it around the window. The window could not be opened to get some fresh air in the room and there’s no ceiling light in the room, just beside the window which makes no sense.

The place was a great location and was very close to public transportation and easy access without being to nosy or to lit up by city lights or such. The price of a stay was also responsible and fair cost.

So in all fairness the hotel is of older times and you can tell but it is charming and old, NOT gross and sticky. There is a thing with the drainage it is very slow from the tap but everything was clean and was working, so nothing bad to say at all.

The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful always. The breakfast options were great and delicious. The room was very clean and cool. The location was close to the city with some shops and restaurants nearby.

The pillow was too big and I asked for a new one but they are all the same. The electrical box in the room caused a buzzing noise all night long which really impacted my sleep most nights.

Affordable, modern Stay Hotel Saldanha is RIGHT at a bus stop on bus line 760. That makes it very convenient for getting to downtown Lisbon's tourist areas. It's an 8 to 10 min. walk to Metro stop Picoas and there are some great cafes and padarias around with yummy breakfast and coffee options. Also it's close to Raffi's Bagels Estefania, which I recommend. Just up the hill a bit.

The air conditioning is too cold sometimes and when I asked for help adjusting the temperature, the man trying to help me at Reception was locked out of making temperature adjustments by some silly piece of software. Also, I wish there was a fridge in the room, but the front desk will label and store your stuff in their fridge:⁠-⁠)

Really high standard for this price and for only two stars. The room was clean and nice. The bed was really big and comfortable. There is everything you need in the room, hair dryer, kettle, tea, water, towels, wardrobe with hangers and big mirror. People are kind and helpful.

Breakfast was a bit poor and there was some mold on the shower seals and on the bathroom windows. But I cannot complain because of good price.

The staff was super!!! Very very helpfull, taking the time to help you with everthing you need. Room was ckean. I would stay here again. Take a walk round the hotel, lots of restaurants and places to have breakfast. Bus in front of hotel, going to and from the city centre (Alfama). Uber is very cheap in Lisbon (from airport to hotel etc).

Beds are not that comfortable, the mattress are keep moving when sleeping. An extra suitcase chair, I had to take the bed sidetable to use as chair. Windows can not be opend. A little refrigerator would be nice. Cold breakfast, no baked eggs. Same thing every day., but enough if you need a very early meal (early flight/ train/bus)

The room was quite small but perfect for our needs. The bathroom was clean although there was a nasty smell coming from time to time from the sewage. The bedsheets were perfectly clean and I appreciated that a lot. Oh, and I loved that we had a big wall mirror, not many accommodations have that. We also had a window but the view was non-existent (we were aware of that from the beginning) so we kept that closed as much as possible. The neighborhood was quite safe, there is a military institution across this hotel and I personally liked that. It gave me a sense of safety. Overall we had a good stay and I think it was a good value for the money. P.s. - If you choose to stay here do know that there is quite a walk to reach the downtown center. And we all know the beauty of Lisbon's hills :).

I think the hotel could invest a little more to redo the rooms. The room although cozy, looked old and you could see the signs of time over the furniture.

The staff was really amazing, every single one employee was fantastic. They gave their best to provide us with all of the information that we needed. Bed comfort was excelent. Mirror in the bedroom was a great addition and definetily not something that is usual for hotels. Overall, i would recommend this hotel for a budget friendly stay in Lisbon.
