Great location. Easy communication, friendly staff, great property

Would have hoped for the gym to be more equipped. Missing a weight rack at the least. Would have loved to have a housekeeping service at least once during 7 day stay

The staff (Fábio) was very friendly and helpful, providing us with great tips. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The best part was how quiet it was despite being centrally located. The washer/dryer combo was great since we only received two hand towels and four bath towels for seven nights. I will recommend this accommodation to my friends, but I will mention the few negative aspects of the place as follows:

It's a bit of a gamble which apartment you get. Our sofa had an unsightly large stain, and the bathroom flooded with water after taking a shower.

We stayed for 4 nights, 3 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 14. We probably got the best apartment available. We had a large terrace with a stunning view over the rooftops to the sea. On the other side, we could see the National Pantheon. The apartment was beautiful. The location was overall excellent, right in the middle of the old town, yet quiet and peaceful. The surroundings of the apartment were well thought out and truly beautiful; the garden was well-maintained with flowers and lemon trees. Likewise, the pool area was fantastic, never crowded. The facilities were excellent overall. The service was also very friendly and efficient, although there wasn't someone at reception 24/7. Responses to inquiries were prompt, and the door code worked flawlessly. Requests (like for additional towels) were also handled quickly.

A major downside and surprise was the cleanliness and general maintenance of the apartment. The terrace was unusually dirty upon arrival, and there were leftover items in the cabinets from previous guests. The furniture was stylish and seemed high-quality, but there were many old stains, for example on the sofa fabric. Overall, it felt like the apartment wasn't sufficiently maintained; the bathroom cabinet doors were hanging loose and wouldn't close properly. The shower head was broken and didn't work well, and there weren't enough towels. These were small issues that could have been easily addressed and significantly affected the overall impression, which might not be acceptable for an apartment at this price point.

I had booked a car service from the airport which was excellent UNTIL we arrived at our road for the Palacio. The car was not allowed down the road because of a restrictive bollard that stops cars from entering. We had many cases and with the great help of the driver we had to carry our cases down the street- and we are not that young !! It’s the same problem with the car taking us back to the airport.

Absolutely spectacular stay! Our room (top floor) was a grand apartment! The staff Luis and Fabio made us feel so welcome the moment we walked in the door. They made great recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed Lisbon thanks to their suggestions. The hotel is perfectly appointed and the finishes are top notch. The large garden and pool area were a very charming escape from the busy-ness of the city. Staying in the Alfama district was IDEAL as we were a quick walk to the train station (5 minutes), the main square (15 minutes) and dozens and dozens of shops, restaurants and cafes. We had a washer in our unit, which was a treat as we'd been traveling for many weeks prior to our arrival and it was nice to not have to go to a laundromat. We feel so lucky that we found the Tandem Palacio Alfama and can't wait to return! Thank you! Obrigado for the PERFECT stay!

Very clean, excellent quiet area in Alfama near the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful every time we saw them. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet neighborhood to relax once you finish with your tour of the city, partying, or whatever you’re doing, this is the place. We stayed at the 2H apartment and it has a nice view to the Bay Area from the bedroom, and a nice view to the pool and catedral from the kitchen/living room. Plenty of mini markets around if you wish to buy food, snacks, drinks, or whatever you need. Walking distance to some of the view points for photography or just to enjoy the view.

Did not have parking area, although we don’t recommend to rent a car in Lisbon. The bed was a bit hard for our taste, but not to the point that we couldn’t deal with it.

Central location, close to Santa Apolonia Station and bars, restaurants of Alfama. Spacious apartment, nicely put together and nice staff on the front desk.

Air conditioning in our room was intermittently working. We reported it, but no permanent fix. Some fixtures and fittings were not 100% for example the sofa bed in lounge was not set to sofa properly which meant that parts were falling off. Room could have supplied basics like dishwasher tablet. All in all, what we didn't like was far eclipsed by what we liked.

Location was excellent. The pool area was lovely, the apartment was big and clean. The staff were super helpful. There was good wifi in all the public areas

There were kitchen and bathroom fittings that were loose/broken. The wifi didn't work in the bedroom and for the first few days the electricty in our apartment wasn't stable (but was quickly reset). Also there was no shower partition so the bathroom floor got soaked every time we showered. We had an outdoor terrace area, it would have been nice to have some outdoor furniture to sit out there. There was no light in the lift lobby so it was total darkness when trying to call the lift. For the first half of our stay the swimming pool was very green but this was repaired during our stay.

Great location! It’s next door to the best Fado in town. Central to everything. Laundry facilities were super helpful and the views from our suite were amazing. We DID appreciate the old school cooktop espresso maker. They make the best coffee, way better than the pods that every other place seems to have, though they did have a pod machine too. Louis (spelling) at the front desk was great. Super friendly and helpful.

Pillows were rock hard. And the couch seemed oddly tilted. Wasn’t comfortable to sit on.
