Excellent stay! Awesome breakfast!! Friendly service! Booked a private tour through the hotel and they provided us with an excellent guide (Daniel). We booked his services for 2 days! We had a fabulous stay on the island!

My one complaint: the hotel sprays the rooms with a fragrance: it’s overpowering. We had to switch rooms upon check in until we found one whose scent wasn’t as bad. We asked that for the nights we were there to please not spray with the fragrance and they complied: once the scent faded, everything was perfect. No complaints. Just a heads up for those that are sensitive to scents and aromas.

the breakfast was full of options! fresh fruits, bakery, egg station, cheese and many many more ! the room was big and very comfortable, we also enjoyed the SPA

we ate at the bar and we told them to leave the payment on the room, and staff were so nervous about the money they called us two times to two of our phones, and even after we payed the call again to tell us to pay. (we payed after an hour, which they called us in that time 3 times!)

Staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was abundant. The bed, and especially the bedding were very comfortable. The location was walkable to many places. There was a free parking lot right next door, always able to find a spot, although we were traveling in off season. The views of the harbor were spectacular.

Room design was a bit too corporate for an island hotel. The black reflective bathroom was awkward and disorienting. The bench at the foot of the bed was a hazard...we finally moved it. The a/c was weak and it got hot during the middle of the night. the road noise right below the hotel was a bit noisy.

Excellent breakfast with quality and fresh products

The breakfast service staff could be more smiling and friendly. The breakfast is excellent though as said.

LOVED OUR STAY AT THE OCTANT! Great hotel at a great and convenient location right on the main strip of Ponta Delgada. The daily breakfast was fabulous with local cheeses and fruits and a hot station. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were new, clean and comfortable and every room had an amazing ocean view. Most importantly the hotel is pet friendly and the staff is very attentive to the pets. Would absolutely stay here again! They also have a “relaxation room” that you can use upon arrival to get some rest if your flight arrives before checkin time. Genius idea! Can’t say enough great things about this hotel and it’s staff!

I actually cannot come with anything here. I had a standard room and loved the whole concept of this hotel. I don't usually give a 10 out of 10 points in all sections, in my opinion here is well deserved.

We loved how friendly the staff was, how everything was taken care of, how luxurious everything was and the free breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and had so much to choose from. We only had 2 days and the staff helped us curate an itinerary that matched us.

Watching how other Americans acted which had nothing to do with the hotel. People complaining about unnecessary things and when we booked a circuit in the spa for just us some people came in without an appointment just to look and be loud in a quiet space during our session. This again has nothing to do with the hotel but oblivious other people.

Everything was as advertised. Staff went the extra mile whenever possible. Breakfast had many options and was a delight every day. The gym was quite nice but not as good as the one in the Octant Furnas location. Still, I enjoyed going there. The view from the whale watching lounge is really good. Get a drink or two and enjoy life.

On one occasion the room service took nearly two ours. Not sure what happened there but it was the last time we ordered something from the menu.

Location is great for scuba diving, walking around town and go to restaurants Bed is really comfortable Spa facility is superb, a must try recommendation They bring cookies every day in the evening, a great initiative to make it special for guests.

Breakfast is the same every day. we stayed 10 days, hot food is very limited. They could install a coffee machine instead of asking to order coffee. it’s a standard expectation nowadays. I normally drink coffee in the end of the breakfast, but coffee always get cold because they bring it right after they check you into buffet. If we are in hurry, they can be too slow as well. Sometimes they would forget to bring the tea well. I think they could save some time of stuff to let guests get their own coffee and tea with minimal service, and give more freedom and satisfaction to guests.

This is a beautiful hotel with impeccable service. Great location if staying in Ponta Delgada. Staff is extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast that carried us through the day. A lovely way to start each day. Rooms were first class with amazing views of the harbor.

The roof deck/bar and pool are lovely but I wish the pool were heated. I was hoping to enjoy a dip in the water but too chilly for me. I would have expected warmer for the end of June. Dinner in the restaurant did not meet our high expectations.
