Everything was perfect. The ladies at reception were all amazing nothing was too much to ask to them such kind and beautiful souls! I would come back just to visit all the lovely people at the hotel who made my stay here also the hotel was beautiful I was given a room with balcony and was so big esp the bathroom I could not fault it! Getting into town was about 8-10 euros and transport around here is not so good so it is better to have a car but even though I did not have I would still stay here as the hotel was beautiful to relax in bar or in the spa or the room. Also breakfast was delicious!

The hotel wasn't easy to find and isn't easy to access but at least it's quiet. Very green, which is so pleasant. The hotel itself is quite pretty & the room was comfy ! The staff was so nice throughout our stay and the facilities are really nice to chill (sauna, pineapple hot tub, pool). As for food, the breakfast was very good, and we had very nice experiences at the 2 restaurants (downstairs witth local food & rooftop with japanese food)

We weren't so impressed with the room, it was spacious but it didn't feel as cosy as on the picture, maybe we go an old version...It was still a quite comfy room but i would expect a bit more maintenance on details.

Our suite (superior suite) was otherworldly. The minute we walked through the door we were transported. The room smelled wonderful, the breeze through the enormous tropical foliage was instantly calming, and we were welcomed with a special treat from the staff to celebrate our anniversary. The bed was incredibly soft and though there didn't appear to be formal air conditioning (that I could find), we were more than comfortable between the high ceilings with the beautiful ceiling fan. And that outdoor tub... On my gosh, so serene and dreamy. We were also so lucky that we were there for a rooftop party. The sunset was gorgeous, and the DJ was very talented! The staff really takes hospitality seriously. There were so many small gestures that made the whole experience very special and felt very intentional (e.g., the staff member who showed us to our room opened the door for us, but never came inside the space, which felt by design). Everything we needed was easily accommodated, and I even watched a bar staff member patiently help someone who'd come into the hotel by mistake. Impeccable service is clearly something that is highly valued in the management of Senhora da Rosa.

Our suite appeared to be fairly near one of the main walking paths and though you couldn't really see in nor out, we could quite easily hear people talking, which at times slightly broke the illusion of such intense privacy. It's also possible that it was just cooler than expected, but the plunge pool in the pineapple room didn't appear to be heated at all, though it was described as being a hot water tank. Perhaps it was user error, it just wasn't quite what we expected, beautiful though it was!

A beautiful hotel ! Great location - a few minutes from Ponta Delgada . Highly designed with attention to details. As an experienced traveler who has been to many places, I can say without a doubt that the staff members are the most devoted I have ever met. Whatever you ask for- you receive in a blink of an eye. In addition, they are so welcoming and informative !

When it comes to hot water pressure- there was a huge problem ( room no. 30). We could hardly wash ourselves, let alone wash our hair . Breakfast was simple . No coffee machine in the dining room ( and also- no kettle in the room) Other than that- It was perfect.

The hotel is beautiful! We stayed in the junior suite and it didn’t disappoint. Very spacious room with a huge balcony equipped with sun loungers and a dining area. Inside was a living area, bedroom area, dressing area, a freestanding bath as well as excellent walk in shower. The Magma restaurant served delicious meals, with a decent range of local wines. Breakfast was fairly limited with hot and cold options available that were very tasty. Pool area is small but relaxing, comfortable sun beds albeit not enough of them at busy times. Staff friendly and overall, we had a lovely stay.

As mentioned, staff are very friendly, however the level of service is severely lacking. The mini bar was never restocked of after day one, despite my requests. We had a suite with a bath, but after one bath, the bath bombs were never replaced. Why bother with the bath if there are no products to put in it! Hot breakfast was ordered every morning and two occasions,didn’t arrive. Drinks ordered to pool that never arrived. 1.5 hours to make two sandwiches. Constantly forgetting things. Such a shame as we were not the only guests to have encountered these problems and it seems that the staff can get away with doing very little because the beauty of the hotel covers for the dreadful service.

Very nice spot & environment : quiet with a pleasant rooftop for the evenings. Rooms are clean & spacious with a nice balcony and all staff is very kind. Outside swimming pool is really pleasurable & possibility to play paddle is a real plus ! Breakfast served every morning is nice.

We can sometimes feel that the importance is more given to non hotel residents vs hotel guests : not place outside for us on rooftop one night, long time before being served as many people from outside, no place on parking for the car. The bedding was not confortable for us as my husband and I had both some strong backpains on the morning (pillows ?) Finally some small details could be improved like : real umbrellas as pool to get shadow ; spaces to hang out towels on bathrooms ; rooftop opening for lunch

The decor of the hotel is very nice but some areas require a bit of upkeep. The breakfasts are good and there is a fresh egg station which is always a bonus. The Magma Restaurant was sensational. My husband had the best steak of his life. It is very good value.

The coffee at breakfast however was served in thermos pumped flasks which did not work at all well. Fresh coffee to order would have been so much better. The ground floor bar lacked atmosphere and the air conditioning was too low.

Newly renovated property with large rooms and well kept facilities (e.g. pool, spa, etc) - the room is also very quiet and clean. For those who have a car, location is perfect, only 10 minutes to the center of Ponta Delgada, but still outside from the busier part of the city. The SPA was nice and the massage we had there was very good. I would definitely recommend it and choose it again for a trip to São Miguel!

Breakfast quality was very good, but service does need some improvement - most days we were there, service was pretty slow and not always precise (there is no buffet, you need to order everything and sometimes the wrong items are brought or forgot). This is not at all a reason not to choose this place, but just a feedback for improvement for the future! Also, while the natural soaps are nice, I was not a fan of having all soaps and shampoos in solid form - a liquid soap would have been a bit easier to use (but this may be a very personal preference).

Beautiful setting, nice design and professional staff. The garden and the swimming pools are really nice.

- the temperature in the common areas was too low; - the curtains instead of doors for the drawer; - no kettle or coffee machine in the room, tough we always got tea and coffee from the bar, even late night; would've been still nice to have them. - the solid shampoo in the bathroom.

Breakfast was included and was excellent. There was a huge choice of pastries, breads, fruit, continental (cheese, ham) yoghurt and you could also order a cooked breakfast with choices of omelette, eggs benedict, smoked salmon and more. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. They booked all our restaurants and made excellent and varied choices for us. They advised on sightseeing plans giving us excellent advice on where to go, checking tide tables and weather cams to make sure we went at the right time and werent disappointed. The spa treatments were excellent. The rooftop bar was really fun. We found the restaurant rather expensive but the food and service were excellent. The hotel is in a very relaxing and restful environment with gardens all around but it is very close to Ponta Delgado. All the staff were friendly and eager to help in every way.

We had a small issue wih an inexperienced staff member unable to find our booking but it was quickly resolved. The hotel is very eco conscious and only provides solid bars of soap including for shampoo so bring your own if you prefer liquid.
