This is our 3rd stay at the hotel and at 3 star rating, it's value for money and very popular because of the location. The rooms are a bit dated and needs refurbishment badly but the location keeps the hotel full. This trip we managed to get a twin room on the 5th floor and had a mini view of the river plus a proper walk-in shower and bathroom window! Powerful hairdryer in the bathroom. The lower floors were mainly showers in the bathtub, and generally small in size. The Aircon worked well, beds were comfy and plenty of English channels on the TV. WiFi speed was sufficient to stream. The breakfast room was spacious and plenty of fresh fruit and local breads/pastries plus a juicer machine to make your own orange juice. It even had bananas! Very rare for most hotels. 5 minutes walk down to the river and plenty of restaurants. Hotel staff were friendly too.

The bath towels are too thin and almost 1 ply tissue paper! No parking of course and the coffee machine at breakfast was horrible for us coffee lovers! Had to go to a local coffee house later. No refrigerator in the rooms to chill our bottled water.

Helpful and ready staff. Room comfy but a bit of noise from the other rooms. Very good breakfast. Location was right were we wanted to be, with plenty of activities around us.

The bathroom ventilation is very noisy. The other rooms need insulation, as any open doors or movement could be heard.

Centrally located near the old part of town, rooms are nice, it seems to be a refurbished interior. Breakfast was good and handy, specially since it was raining outsite

No refrigerator or coffee maker in room. Due to illness we had to cut the trip short, I understand that under the circumstances it would be hard to get a full refund, but our request to cancel was answered with a plain no. I would have expected a better customer service to out plight.

Area location was in the center and walkable on the area of interests. 5mins walk to the waterfront. Staff in the front desk were very helpful and make you feel welcomed. 2 elevators. Updated entrance and ground floor area.

Lots of leftover hair in the bathroom and sink area. Room facilities and fixtures needs updating. Room walls feels unclean. Also needs more electric outlets for charging phones.

Located near all the main attractions. The room and bathroom were both clean and more than acceptable. It's quite difficult to find wheelchair friendly rooms at a good price but the hotel had everything I needed including the bathroom. The lift was a bit small but managed to get into it with my wheelchair. A good choice of a continental breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.

No kettle in the room for my early morning cup of tea!!

I really loved the location, it's so close to the train station and the city center. In our room, beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and pretty spacious. Also, there was a variety of things to choose from for breakfast.

The only drawback was the internet connection, it was only available in the hall, not in the room itself. But the speed was okay.

Great location, clean, well kept, comfortable bed, good running water in the shower, very practical to have on-site continental breakfast. Quieter street despite being at a stone throw’s away from street musicians. Excellent blackout & soundproofing. Excellent croissants amongst other baked goods, self-serve buffet breakfast included hard boiled eggs and DIY freshly squeezed OJ.

On occasion the coffee tasted like chocolate despite selecting caffe latte option only.

Nice bed. Clean room and good breakfast.

Everything was fine. Only thing I ask please to do is clean the ventilation in bathroom(s) few times in a year. It was bit full of dust and could work better if the system is clean.

Excellent location, close to local bars and facilities, tramline 1 to coast, Douro river etc. Our room on 3rd floor has a river view (just) and was very spacious with a/c, table and two easy-chairs. Rooms were cleaned daily. A good continental breakfast was available with coffee maker and fresh juice (nothing hot)

Great location. Close to the river . Easy access to historic area.

It is on a hill but all of the area is hilly. Some street noise at night but it is a vibrant area.
