I loved the story of each rooms and how they were associated with a profession related to Porto. The staff was more than accommodating and packed us a breakfast to go. The location was not too far from the main city.

The Convo was a very cool and trendy hotel with it's decor. Across the street from a grocery store which was great! Breakfast baskets were given in the morning where you had to go down to pick it up but you could choose to eat downstairs in the lobby if you wish.

The location was a bit far from the sites I wanted to see but still easily walkable or could take a Bolt (Portugal version of Uber). The rooms were not very sound proof. The rooms weren't very large but I wasn't expecting or needed it to be. The lobby closes at 3pm every day (I think) and the bar closed very early so do be mindful of that. I had to do a self check in option as I arrived by train around 7 or 8pm. I was a bit concerned about the instructions received from them but once I got there it was pretty self explanatory and check in went quite smoothly.

The property was clean, modern and it had everything you needed. The staff are excellent! They went above and beyond to help you have a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfy, we had blackout curtains, room was spacious and the shower was lovely and hot!

We didn’t have a safe in our toom for our passports so bare that in mind. Also the hotel is a 30 minute uphill walk from the ribeira district which is tough but there is a metro stop a 6 minute walk away which takes you right into the centre, which is a big help after a long day of exploring, or if you ask the staff they can help tell you what bus to get! We stayed in a roadside room which was very noisy of a morning with traffic so once we were awake we headed down to the breakfast area to relax there most mornings.

The staff were super friendly, place was very relaxing and peaceful/quiet. Even though it is away from the main key of town, it’s the best European city I’ve had so far. $4 or 5 euros gets you anywhere. There is a good commercial gym called Fox Gym one block away which was super handy for me.

It felt like there was a change in management or something, the bar was basically closed 19 hours of the day and I did book this place months ago seeing it had a buffet breakfast but that is now no longer and was just a breakfast box which was average.

Nice fashionable room, but quite small. Perfect for a few nights but not longer. The breakfast was really nice, large selection of fresh food! Friendly staff. Location: not far from metro station (7 min walk) so quite easily accessible, we walked into the historic center which was like 25 mins walk. The rooftop bar seemed really nice but the weather was really bad when we were there so we can't really judge this. We had one drink inside one night but it is really small. We did have a nice chat with other guests there so that's a bonus. I bet the terrace is really nice when it's sunny!

The hotel was lovely and the staff were so attentive and friendly.Breakfast was freshly cooked and had a good variety for all tastes.The rooftop bar was lovely although the weather was not great at this time of year so we're not fully able to appreciate the views and ambience. The hotel was easy to reach on the Metro which was very cheap although the hotel was also within 15/20 minutes walk from the start of the city centre which we walked to everyday.Overall a very enjoyable trip with lots to see.We would recommend the walking tour and the cellars to sample the port !

The location was far enough from the hustle of the city but close enough to walk to the action. Enish made sure my stay was incredibly comfortable from beginning to end and she makes the best cappuccinos for breakfast. I prefer boutique hotels to big chains and the Convo checks all the boxes. Intimate with only 15 rooms, themed like my welcome postcard showcasing Portuguese history and as an invite to my room, vintage yet modern and incredibly clean. Enish made me a great Misto and Moscatel to make my trip complete and I had the entire rooftop bar to myself to watch Halston on Netflix.

Everything was great. I love a bathtub but understand for the space that may not be possible. The rooftop view wasn't open but that was due to the weather and not the fault of the hotel.

The receptionist was very helpful and gave us a great restaurant recommendation just around the corner from the hotel. We had to depart for the airport in the early morning before any staff or the breakfast was available. So, our receptionist packed a delightful breakfast for us to take with us. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.

We were up and departed early for the airport, leaving at 6:15 am before any staff were in the hotel downstairs. We were quite surprised there was no hot water and the elevator did not work (no power to it) at that hour. We had to carry our luggage down the stairs. Maybe this is typical policy in Portugal?

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Nice location, walking distance to the metro and easy walk down the hill to city Centre.

No AC!!! It was really warm inside, couldn’t imagaine staying there in the summer. At least install some ceiling fans but no AC is just awful. Also the motion sensors inside were active in the middle of the night. Kept going off with motion, bright red light.. it was very annoying. Also I was celebrating my birthday, hotel did nothing special, no drinks on them or anything memorable. Luckily my best friend bought me some champagne.

Great hotel, really enjoyed our stay. Building is new but the interior is very vintage, so the place is in very good condition but feels very cozy at the same time. Breakfast was very good - the cakes are baked the night before, the croissants are good, the juices are fresh. The room is small but the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is very smartly planned out. The staff was also very friendly and the hotel manager was super nice! Takes only 10-15 minutes walking to the main shopping street. But there's also a metro station bery nearby. The roof terrace gives a nice place to sit, too, if you have some time to kill.

One teeny-tiny thing only - even though very smartly designed, I would've wished for a little bit more space in the room.
