Services: Reception is excellent. As is not my first time in Porto, so i did not request much infos, but i saw them served others guest for infos, it was very attentive & excellent. Restaurant: in hotel resto is good & excellent services.

Location: a little bit far from old town, 15-25 minutes walk, especially porto is up-down road. Aromatic perfume: on the hallway, so i find that too much.

We have spent 4 nights in this fabulous hotel. It’s not to big, only 50 rooms I believe, but the hospitality and service was from a next level. After check-in up to our room on the 5th floor. At entry a nice a cosy atmosphere in the room, and warm welcome with some fresh fruit and a delicious pastel de nata. The room was big enough for the 2 of us, and the bathroom and toilet where nice, clean and spacious enough to do your thing. A good size tv, with excellent HD digital tv and a reliable, fast Wifi connection trough the whole hotel. A 24hr reception, willing to help you all time, and they have helped us with a rental car and all the info for a tour down the douro valley. Breakfast was really good, from cereals and yogurt to scrambled eggs with bacon. Fresh coffee and several juices. Great. We have dined once in the hotel, and the dinner was also nice and tasteful. The hotel bar is opened till 23:00 hours and is a nice place to end you day through the city of Porto. We can really recommend this hotel if you are going to Porto. It will make your stay better!!

There is no downsite off the hotel ore it’s staff. The only thing you need to take into account is that Porto is located on hilly site. So you always walk downwards, ore upwards. And it can be very steep at some points. If you have had dinner in the oldtown part at the douro valley, it will only be around 1800 meters to get back to the hotel, but the whole way back is steep upwards. Let’s put it this way, you will get your exercise after a nice meal.

I loved everything and would definitely stay at Fontinha in my next visit to Porto. Bedrooms and facilities and sparkling clean with cool design, super comfortable bed. Rogério welcomed my husband and I very warmly and kind, provided many recommendations and guidance and always had a kind smile when we were leaving to see the city or coming back to the hotel. All staff was kind and everything was flawless. We stayed 4 nights and really felt at home! Muito obrigada!!

The only downside is the parking lot is about 500m from the property , but you can park in front of Fontinha to unload the car and the staff helps you with your luggage

Great hotel in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The rooms are big enough and the beds are great! Breakfast is also very good. Friendly staff.

The location to the center is not great. It is only 15 minutes to the center but the way back is uphill and also in that time you are only at the outskirts of the center. Book only if you enjoy a good walk every day. One thing that slightly annoyed me was during checkout I was charged for the water and coffee. The first day these were complimentary but apparently not the next days which is not really clear. It wasn't expensive but still an unexpected surprise.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The room was amazing and super comfortable. The welcome gift of wine, coffee, water, desserts in the room at no additional cost was so unexpected. The hotel is about a 15min walk to get downtown so its the perfect distance to save on cost and still have a amazing hotel.

If your walking from the hotel downtown to various areas of port. The initial areas around the hotel is a little run down but there are other high end hotel on the same street. Its only 1 section which is about a 2 minute walk and then your in a much nicer area. We didn't feel unsafe at any point hopefully the area gets some new development as time goes by.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel during our honeymoon and we couldn't have had a more perfect stay! The staff were so amazing and helpful and they made us feel very special. Upon arrival we were offered a drink and we were also upgraded to a suite which we appreciated so much. After checking in, the hotel delivered a bottle of sparkling and a cake to our room which was the loveliest surprise. The room was amazing - beautiful decor, clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Location of the hotel is great too.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

We were really impressed by Fontinha Porto- from the moment we arrived we were well looked after. All of the staff we encountered were great- we arrived around 11am and they prioritised our room for cleaning and phoned us when the room was ready. Drink and croissants upon arrival too which was a nice touch! The room was beautifully decorated and very clean- one of the nicest rooms we’ve stayed in at this price point. Fabulous breakfast also with pasteis de nata. Highly recommended!

The hotel was a slight walk uphill from the centre of Porto- we knew this when we booked so not a problem for us but something to keep in mind.

I loved the welcoming feeling the moment I entered the hotel. Check in was super quick and the room had everything one can wish for. Even a welcome note on the TV screen and cold lemon water and a fresh fruit salad. This personal touch was incredibly special and there throughout the entire stay. Furthermore, the hotel adapted to food restrictions in a way I had never experienced before. To all vegans and gluten intolerant people, this hotel tops everything! Fresh fruit, gluten free breads, delicious plant based yoghurt, oat cappuccinos...everything was there! It is special to find this since not even 5 star hotels offer this level of service. The staff was super friendly and always happy to help, give suggestions on where to go and just in general extremely professional and attentive. My mum and I loved this place so much that we are definitely planning to come back again and recommend it to friends and family. Thanks Fontinha team for making our time in Porto unforgettable.

Everything was perfect!

One of the best hotels I’ve been to! I stayed in Porto for 5 days and it was a pleasure to return to my hotel room every day. Beautiful, clean and you will see lovely details everywhere - garden with a bar, cozy breakfast zone, nice slogans made out of tiles, great design. Staff is interested to know if everything is well. I needed an iron, it was arranged very quickly for my stay. Also I had to leave early for my morning flight and breakfast box was ready for me when I checked out. Please stay here if you go to Porto (you should) =)

From check in to check out the staff were exceptional, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem for them . The room was extremely comfortable (especially the bed) and had pasteis da nata in the room on arrival which were very welcome. The breakfast selection was also very good. A big thank you to all the staff for a fabulous stay.🥰

This is not a complaint, it is a suggestion, the room could do with more storage space(drawers/ shelving) as there was only a wardrobe and if traveling for more than a couple of days like we were we had quite a lot of luggage with us 🙂.
