Unbelievable location, good breakfast, good restaurant, nice and spacious room. Liked the fact that you can shower whilst having a view on the ocean.

If i have to say something "negative" it would be that the room could get a small update to look a bit more modern but it is definitely not looking as old as i read in other reviews. A hotel so close to the ocean is always subject to extreme weather conditions/salty water so it is normal that things wear out faster. We will come back and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

sadly the service was poor at meal times and at breakfast they did not readily replace with. more food on the buffet when people took food so both mornings we did not have any fruit. There was also a body boarding competition on the beach which woke us up before 7am both mornings. if we had known about this we would have chosen to stay on different dates of our holiday here as the loud halo speaker was not pleasant all day from 7am through to 7pm!! I think that guests should be informed of this before booking -

The room was very good and clean. Amazing view and super easy access to the beach or swimming pool and the breakfast is very good too. super nice people at the reception desk.

The only two less good points I can say is, if you have a room on the 1st floor (under the restaurant) you will have a lot of noise from the chairs moving and the second point is at the restaurant there is one women always with an angry face and they would complain between each other in front of the costumers without any embarrassment.

There was so much to love about Arribas SIntra that we booked another stay for next year before we left the hotel. The view from our room was breathtaking. The room was spacious, as was our balcony. The food was exceptional, and of course with every meal guests are treated to that stunning ocean view. We particularly loved the scrumptious breakfasts. But what impressed us most about this superb hotel was its wonderful, caring staff. Nelio (at the front desk) was our hero, as he graciously helped us with a number of calamities (no fault of the hotel!), and Bruno and Francisco in the restaurant were wonderfully helpful and supportive. I'm already counting the days until we return.

The single drawback was that, as guests are allowed to smoke on their balconies, we were often overwhlemed by the smoke from our nextdoor neighbor (as the ocean wind blows it straight back into the rooms), and unfortunately had to leave our own balcony due to the smell and shut our balcony door. Perhaps if smoking rooms could be alloted, and grouped away from non-smokers, that would be a huge help.

View was spectacular from all rooms, bedroom and all other facilities. Pool was amazingly large and never over crowded. Staff very helpful. Nice area to visit and good to get up into Sintra. The old tram was fun. Beach well appointed. i liked the little beach shop outside the hotel. Local wines were all lovely.

Vegetarian food was not great however being heavily sea food based resort it is unsurprising. Coffee at breakfast not nice however lovely from the pool bar. Beer choice was limited. C'mon Arribas there is amazing local craft beer, Hopsin.

Fabulous view! Resort looks great from the out side can imagine when first built 1966 would have been the best. The location is good away and quiet this time of the year. Breakfast was good. If you are driving they have a secured parking. Dinner menu was good. Nice to sit and watch sunset. 2 night stay was relaxing.

Room needed attention has a smell coming through the bathroom, cupboards need to be redone broken draws and rod, as we can see old room they only revamped part of the room. Bed mattress need replacing. Dinner menu good we didn't drive out to any other restaurants at night too cold. The dinner and breakfast staff looked tied the new young lady was trying to help as much as she could. We felt all staff apart from a few need to be more welcoming.

The Arribas Hotel is a little bit of paradise and gets better each time we visit. It also placed in the most beautiful location Prai Grande wgich is exceptionally maintained by local young volunteers. The local council also provide ashtrays for use on the beach, free sunscreen pumps ( how forward thinking). Breakfast at the AH was included in our stay , which we enjoyed and looked forward to each day. All needs were provided for and was of high quality, service by staff was exceptional. All staff on sight were proffessional friendly and informative . I had the benifit of having a massage by Elisa the on sight masseur ( you need to book) . Having stayed at the AH over a number of years. A massage by Elisa is a must each time. Again exceptional and a talented masseur. All rooms face the sea, sleeping with the sound of the sea pulling you to sleep heaven. 100meter swimming pool with driving boards plus well trained and observant Life Guards. The local area has lots to see and do a must is a trip to one of the many palaces in Sintra. Visit Portugal stay at the AH you will not be disappointed.

The pictures don’t do it justice ! Great location and every room has sea view. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. The beach is incredible we spent most of our time there. Staff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. Our room was extremely clean too. We didn’t use the pool but it was really big !

The changing rooms at the pool. We had to use them because we weren’t able to get a late checkout, so we left our bags at the front desk to enjoy our last day at the beach before heading back home. They need serious maintenance and aren’t clean at all. I guess guests rarely use them but there should be a minimum standard of upkeep, especially if you suggest checked-out guests to use them.

Beautifully renovated hotel on the water. Every room has a view of the ocean (and sunset). The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We were happy with the breakfast overall. The snack bar had really nice choices and we ended up eating there for dinner. The staff members we met were very friendly and helpful. One staff member spent a significant amount of time with us recommending an alternative plan for our day when he had been notified about a heat advisory/fire risk in Sintra. We were very happy with his recommendations (especially since we found out that night that all the Sintra tourist sites had been closed)!

A few minor complaints: 1) For breakfast we were told that we were limited to "one complementary espresso shot per guest." The alternative coffee was undrinkable. We thought this policy was a little stingy for such an otherwise nice hotel. 2) The hotel parking (though free) is tight with limited spaces, but there seems to be plenty of nearby street parking when beach goers leave. 3) There is not enough light in the newly renovated rooms.

Love, Love, Loved the view from our room! All rooms have balconies and ocean and pool view rooms! It was very relaxing to sit out on our balcony at sunset and have a bottle of wine. The hotel also had a wonderful bar with outdoor seating and views of the ocean and pool as well. When we were there we had live music as well. We loved walking along the beach and if you walk far enough, you'll see some beautiful rock features on the beach. If you walk back on the road, there are many little restaurants and spots for drinks and ice cream along the way. The hotel pool was beautiful and had lots of space/lounge chairs to sit and relax at. There was live music that you could hear at the pool in the afternoon that was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, beach vacation!!!

It was perfect! I wish they had shuttle service to the airport though!
