The Quinta is located in a small and quiet forest on the outskirts of town, but still within walking distance to some restaurants in the centre. It's a tranquil guesthouse, where you can enjoy the swimming pool and common living room indoors. The site offers private parking, behind the gate. We had a spacious room, with a good double bed and view into the backyard. The hosts were good in communicating prior to arrival and very friendly at checkin and during our stay. Each morning a good continental breakfast is served. We got some good recommendations for visiting Lisbon and the Sintra castles. What's especially nice is that they've prepared a booklet with all kinds of tips and pointers, like nice restaurants, beaches and vineyard/brewery visit recommendations!

Can't think of anything we didn't like!

Breakfast, pool the overall sensation of calm. The house is fantastic and you have access to all the spaces throughout the day. The place is very well located in regard to reaching Cascais, the beaches and Sintra. Hosts are great, they have a document to guide you to the best places around, conversation with them was also very interesting. Great place.

It was not clear to me that the room did not have air conditioning but this was probably oversight from my side. We did not have any really hot days and the area is less warm than the city or Lisbon. I only guess than during some heatwaves an A/C may be useful.

Quinta do Pe Descalço is a stunning property, with beautiful peaceful elegant rooms, a lovely pool and surrounds. Ricardo and Patricia are wonderful hosts providing everything you need for your stay and visiting to the area. It’s close proximity to Sintra, the coast and Lisbon make it an ideal base. We left to pick up a late flight out of Lisbon and especially appreciated being welcome to use the house, pool and showers after checking out.

Overall, our stay was good. We stayed at Quinta do Pé Descalço only for 2 nights and most of the time we were out visiting other places (coming back only for sleep and breakfast). Hosts are nice and helpful, their Quinta is big and clean. Breakfast is basic, but good (no hot food choices, just snacks)

We put 8 because for us there were not enough of privacy (there are always people around and it feels like you are in a camp). We prefer more private places without a need to interact with people (apartments, hotels, etc). But still, it was a good experience. + no air conditioner, which could be helpful when it gets hot at night (but there is a blower)

One of the best places we have ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, very spacious and very nice decorated! A big garden with a big )almost eco) swimmingpool. Very well located, just 5 minutes from the citycenter by car. Breakfast was amazing, with homemade jam and homemade cake. We only stayes her for 2 nights, much to short! Also a very good place for families! Patricia and Ricardo are very warm personalities, openminded, courteous, easygoing and very enthusiastic, they do everything to make you feel at home and comfortable, beautiful people!

Beautiful quinta, quiet and peaceful property. Our room was spacious and impeccable, nice interior is a plus. Breakfast was good food and plenty. The main reason this accommodation stands out though is because of the owners, they really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and could enjoy the region to the fullest.

Everything was perfect.

The hosts were very nice and welcoming, they made an excellent breakfast and were helping us with everything we needed. Also the house is great, we loved to sit outside at the pool and get to know new people. There are nice restaurants around and the area of Sintra is definitely worth to visit. Also the perfect stay if you plan a day trip to Lisbon. A big thank you to our hosts! :)

An Ideally located ( as all Sintra’s beauties is at stone’s throw, by car) obviously ), beautifully refurbished house, welcoming hosts, lovely common areas, comfortable beds, birds singing around, « meditation » time near the pool, you name it! Oh, and don’t overlook trying the home-made apricot jam!

Quiet, quaint and homey. Hosts were friendly, warm and informative. Breakfast prepared with love, all homemade. Patricia and Ricardo make you feel like family. I would highly recommend this property….. and Sintra is a wonderful town.

It's a wonderful peaceful place, really welcoming, well decor, close to Sintra, Cabo do Roca and probably for Lisboa. Patricia and Ricardo make you feel at home and the breakfast is special in a beautiful room in front of the garden! The room was quiet with a bathroom and a big bed!
