The utilities in the room was not perfect - old stationary, no laundry bag, no tooth brush. The utensils during breakfast not so clean. They use foreign workers for housekeeping and clean the café. The workers need to be trained a little bit more to meet our RM800++ rooms' expectation.

The room was clean and the ocean view was spectacular. Did not expect that for the price i paid. The breakfast was good and worth the price i paid. The best part is the access to the beach! If you are on food hunting in Penang, this is the best place to stay because all the famous places are just 15 minutes away from the hotel if there is no traffic.

The pool rule. Only 1 hour per entry. Once you have finished your session you cant enter again even though the pool has less than 20 person in the pool but you can opt to swim at the beach. There are no bellboy so you need to take your own bags by yourself to your room. Limited parking space.

The beach is right in front of the hotel, which is easily accessible. At night, the sound of the waves made it very relaxing. Prior to the trip, I saw numerous negative feedback about the food. But I am surprised the breakfast is very decent. Not as what was described. The dinner was nice too. The staff is very friendly and professional.

I think the hotel is understaffed. During the breakfast, the restaurant staff is busy clearing the tables from the last patrons for the next patrons, but they missed out the chairs as well as the floor. But this is not a major fuss because their staff is doing all they can.

We arrived late from our check in time. Supposedly at 3pm but we arrived at 10pm and the malay security guy is so helpful with the parking and assisting us with our room and bags knowing that we have baby with us. Im pretty sure that was not his job but because its late night and he didn’t want us to fee uncomfortable from waiting so he helped. The staff ( malay lady ) are also very friendly. We can’t remember her name but she is very very friendly. The environment is great too! It was right in front of the beach so you can hear the sea wave. Our room is sea view and we love it very much. Toilets and the bedroom are clean. Definitely we were gonna come again to this hotel for holiday.

Truly enjoyed the stay. From their strategic location to their great facilities and amenities and friendly staffs, everything was at more than satisfactory. Definitely worth the money.

There's only a slight disappointment due to the request not being fulfilled. During the online booking we have requested for a unit in a higher floor and specifically mentioned with an uninterrupted view. Yet the view we got was slightly interrupted as it was on the 2nd floor. Wish that could have been looked into. Nevertheless we absolutely enjoyed our stay in Mercure Penang.

Everything was perfect. The room was comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. The facilities were good and its very clean. The access to the beach was also very convenient. The relaxing spot was amazing, the lazy chairs and the poolside was beautiful.

The security guard were quite disturbing and was not helpful. The neighboring room was problematic and the security guard did not do anything about it. The parking space were also limited. The breakfast buffet was quite poorly managed, the food and coffee were not refilled though it was just around 8.30am and there were not much variety for the value of money paid for breakfast buffet.

The lobby was open ,airy and bright, with cool sea breeze in hot Malaysia day. Check in was quick, and straight forward. The double bed room was comfortable. I like the filtered water tap in bathroom for drinking water. The lifts were quick and quiet with my room next to it. Hotel pool was clean and shady. All the staffs we met were friendly and helpful.. The room rate we paid was good value. We will definitely return and recommend friends to Mercure

The internet was slow, insufficient to run 2 computers of the 2occupants simultaneously. There was only one English old movie Channel on TV. The seaside beach next to the pool was littered with rubbish and trash

I was very happy with my stay. We booked the premium ocean suite, amazing view. .

Breakfast is chaotic. What was served is edible and fine for the price but the priority for breakfast, is coffee and I don't think it's ok to wait for 30 mins for coffee.! Front desk service was good and efficient - although not particularly welcoming. Ludwig was great. We stayed for 8 nights and we didn't have a working fridge and there were no shelves in the cupboard. Very odd. Not a deal breaker but an inconvenience for a long stay.

everything was good, exceeds my expectation in terms of rooms n facilities. the kids loved it so much, the beach was just walking distance and pool n gym located same place, convenient for kids to swim n parents to go to gym. stayed at superior ocean suite pool view, the room with the pool + sea view was superb.

for family travelling with kids, the parking is hassle coz very limited parking space at the hotel compound, u have to park at premise next to the hotel n with all the luggages, i feel that its not guest friendly. the breakfast can be improved coz not many choices of food.

First of all the check in registration was very smooth and fast eventho it was during the peak holiday season. The front office staff , the bell-boy was so helpful and in no time we were already in our ready made suite. The sea view from the room was spectacular, the layout was spacious , the bed/pillows were comfortable and clean. The ' Ombak Coffee House staff were so friendly and helpful ..to name a few like Hanis, Mitheles, Raj, Tej, Kartheni, Yaknesh and the Chef if I not mistaken.. Alif . Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and at ease during our 5 Day stay at the hotel. The hotel is located on the beach. We had our morning walk along the beach and the walk across to little island opposite the hotel . Overall we had a wonderful holiday and will come back for another holiday. Thank you.

Probably the parking facility...the parking bays were limited based on first come basis ... lucky we didn't drive here😂. There is no other complain .
