The welcome was very warm and we had a great rapport with the staff. Comfortable room but no opening windows which meant using the air con. which was quiet. The location, in the university area, meant we were very close to numerous eateries but a good walk uphill to the Castle and Cathedral. However, a shuttle bus did run from the hotel front. Surprised to be charged for car parking which was private! Breakfast was exceptional for a large hotel.

Unfortunately being next door to highly inconsiderate occupants who felt that having a party in their room until 2.30am was acceptable! The night manager dealt with this but it did have an unwelcome impact on our stay. Sunday we had to evacuate because of a fire alarm due to a major water pipe break. So pleased to know the alarm system works!

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly especially Victoria W. who checked us in the warm cookie on arrival was an unexpected lovely treat. All of the staff were great from the moment we walked in until we left. We ate in the Marco Piere White restaurant where we were served by an a lovely friendly and enthusiastic young lady unfortunately I can't remember her name.

The bed although comfortable creaked when ever either of us moved. Not the best for a get away without the kids. If we were to stay more than one night we would have raised the issue. Unfortunately we were rushing a bit when we left so forgot to let reception know.

Great location on the waterside with a great view from the Marco Pierre steakhouse which was great for dinner and breakfast. The parking was easy and a fair price. Check in and out was smooth and dinner was just great. Being a tad of a steak snob it was truly up there so a good tick from me. The breakfast too was great, no bad things to say. Room was lovely and clean but the bed a tad different to what I am used to. Always the struggle though when going from a Samba home mattress to a hotel one, they just never live up to what you are used to. Staff, roof top bar were just great and overall a really great time. Would come back here when visiting next for sure. Oh, and not to forget the famous double tree warm welcome cookie! That may have been my reason to come all together :)

Although parking was fair, being on a motorbike there was no dedicated areas so I did feel like a bit of a mug taking up a full car space, which are limited, just for my bike but alas, is still a vehicle and is a big bike so I didn't feel too bad, but being a bit more accommodating would have been ideal

Loved the cocktails, the complimentary Prosecco, the complimentary cookie, the seating area in the reception and bar area, the location at Brayford Pool, the breakfast, the room, the quiet of the room's location, the shower, and most of all, the staff, particularly the young lady who was on bar duty on Saturday 13th May, and was then on a 6.00am start on reception the next day. We loved everything so much, we've already booked for the same weekend next year!

My only criticism is the lack of comfort on the sofa bed. We booked one room for three of us, and I took the sofa bed, as I know that they don't tend to be that comfortable - in addition to that, I usually get up several times during the night to go to the loo, and I didn't want to disturb my friends. I have to admit that I partly regretted my kindness when trying to get to sleep, but I've learned the lesson, and we've booked two twin rooms for next year, as there will be four of us.

Really really good hotel in a great location. The staff were very helpful especially Hazera, thank you. The cleaning staff were very good and very attentive to your needs at what time you were going out for the day, room always cleaned to a good standard.

The only downside to the stay was the car parking fees which roughly costs around £15 a night so that added on to your stay can get very pricey. I would definitely look at other car parks near the hotel.

Breakfast stayed 3 nights with full buffet breakfast 1st morning saturday was told not a enough people so no buffet they brought the full English breakfast out toast other stuff was help yourself sunday morning was good it was all help yourself. monday morning no hot food again all hot food had to order, asked for just loads of bacon and 2 fried eggs came out with 1sausage 1 bacon 1egg and some beans when paying £16 p/p for breakfast should at least get what you've paid for

Good points: Location was good. Bedroom was good. The breakfast was good but was spoiled by the fact that it was not hot enough.

Bad points: Bathroom was "shower over bath" with an inadequate shower screen and controls that were difficult to use. The bathoom's ventilation was very poor and a smell of drains was present every time I returned to the room. The room's the room's very small window only allowed a view of the wall of the next hotel There were no parking places available .

The room was large and clean, with a lovely walk in shower, modern bathroom and massive bed. The bar onsite is stunning, with lovely food and drinks and a great view. We got a nice warm cookie on arrival which was a cute touch.

There was a function going on until midnight on the Saturday, which was loud and could be heard from the room. There was no mirror at the desk which isn’t ideal for getting ready. Our room was quite a trek from reception and there was quite a long wait to check in.

Good location along Brayford Wharf made for a pleasant view and walks to nearby restaurants and pubs. Not too far from the City centre shops, the Castle and the Minster. Our King room was of a good size, comfortable, clean and air conditioned. No complaints at all. The Electric Bar on the 5th floor has a nice view over the water and a pleasant atmosphere. The prices were reasonable and the staff excellent.

Expensive parking and expensive breakfast pricing makes alternatives more attractive.

The hotel is lovely and clean, perfect location surrounded my lovely restaurants and pub, its only a short walk from the shops/cafes/restaurants/bars in the centre, stayed in a king room which was lovely

The only fault I can say is in the room the air conditioning unit display was on the wall at eye level with the bed so the bright green light illuminated the room at night, no matter how we tried to cover it up we couldn’t, so that did disturb during the night. Apart from that it was lovely stay thank you
