Sunrise Inn is right across from the beach, within easy walking distance to many little shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, there was high wind and surf, so we did not get to swim, but that was due to Mother Nature, not the Inn. Easy in and out from the main coast road to access Fajardo, El Yunque, and other areas. Secure, gated parking, beach chairs and towels to borrow, very friendly and accommodating staff. Loved it! Coffee in the morning was a nice plus.

Such a beautiful view from the balcony - overlooking the ocean. The hotel is close to the little commercial area of the town and a swimming beach, although the beach right out front has a strong riptide. The staff people were helpful and nice. Some free snacks are offered in the check-in area, at least in the morning. (I don’t remember seeing them when I checked in but maybe?)

Small things - the light switches were in funky places and it took a little time to figure them out. There were some bugs in the room - perhaps to be expected in a hot, humid place. The room was a little dated but sufficient.

Location was spot on. Our favorite beach is Costa Azul. Outside shower was nice.. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Everything else is so close. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave.

The mattress was rock hard. Like sleeping on a boxed spring. My husband found the floor more comfortable. My son had a different room and his mattress was nice.

This is a beach "motel", not fancy at all but serves the purpose for direct beach access. La Pared Beach has daily dangerous riptides and supposedly someone died 2 weeks before we got there, so it is more for waist-height frollicking but not swimming. You can walk 5minutes west on the beach to a more protective cove to swim in calmer waters, very simple to get to this. We stayed in the 2 bedroom family unit which is behind the motel, similar to a casita. 2 twins & 1 queen, plus a small front room with couch, tv, microwave, & minifrig. Great patio out front wear we hung out each night. The motel rooms do not have nearly as much square footage as the casita suite we stayed in but they all have balconies that face the beach which we were a bit envious of. We could not see the beach/nor hear the waves but we liked having the space for a family of 4. The parking is all gated, you get a remote to keep in your car to open at your leisure, felt very safe. Beach towels & folding camp-style chairs are provided for the beach complimentary, the staff is very accommodating and speak english fluently. There is a great upstairs patio at the motel area that faces the beach where breakfast is typically served, but it is in the process of being remodeled. Thus, there is no breakfast currently except apples/oranges & coffee. There are 3 coffee shops 1-2 blocks away - very simple to reach by foot. Overall, we used this location as a homebase for several excursions and loved the fact that it was in a small town which seemed more authentic than a huge resort where you only eat at the resort. The savings from booking this budget friendly hotel allowed us to extend our stay longer than if we had stayed at a high end resort plus allowed us to have plenty of room to play cards on the patio each night and enjoy our family time with more space (similar to a small condo, but "Puerto Rican style"!).

The queen bed in the family suite was very firm, did not bother me much but drove my husband crazy. At the price point we were paying I felt it was reasonable. There was a small safe that would fit wallets in the room but it did not work. We were a bit hesitant about leaving our items when we were out at the beach, but had no issues.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Right across the street you have La Pared Beach which is great for surfers and hearing the waves crash in the morning when you open the balcony door. If you walk about 5 minutes after taking a left out of the hotel, you come across Playa Azul which is perfect for swimming and was not crowded at all when we stayed! They have some snacks (packaged cookies, etc) and coffee in the morning for guests. Rooms were incredibly clean and had a fridge/microwave in the room.

Parking lot was a little bit of a tight squeeze at times BUT it was nice that it was gated! We also felt like unless we put out our sign for room service in the morning, it wouldn't get done. We also were woken up by a neighbor talking loudly on her cell phone right outside our door at 2am...but that isn't the property's fault!

The location was cute right outside their town square. Great food at the street right behind. There is a bar to pass to get there. The view was wonderful. Love the gated parking and friendly staff. Breakfast had yummy treats and well set up for a “no breakfast” place. Great location to the rainforest activities, the kiosks and el Yunque.

It was great, perhaps a little table to eat on would be great. Inside or outside.

The location was great. The beach across the street is beautiful ,but not for swimming, but fun watching the surfers. The rooms were a little dated but clean. The staff is very friendly. It's nice that they have beach towels and chairs that you can use. The breakfast is continental. I would stay again.

We only got 2 towels and washcloths. We couldn't figure out the TV so we just didn't use it

The property is directly across the street from a beautiful beach. The beach is known for surfing and not the best for swimming, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in the water or enjoy a beautiful sunset/sunrise walk down the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. We were able to park our rental car inside a gated area which made us feel extra safe. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Puerto Rico.

Shakira at the reception was A M A z I n g! There was another lady... Rude and acted like she couldnt care less, but Shakira's kindness and how above and beyond she was with everything, saved the experience. The room was very nice and comfortable ! Nice balcony and view !

The sink was very bad, like very old, and black water was coming out I don't know how to describe it, but we were struggling a lot. I was brushing my teeth in the shower.

The location was on the beach and was in the heart of the small town of Luquillo. The staff was kind and helpful. They had a sand wash off shower. There was a secure parking lot. The attached restaurant was excellent.

It would have been better if the no smoking policy includes the balcony. Every time we were outside the noxious cigarette smoke from out neighbor’s balcony wafted into our space.
