The room was perfectly comfortable for a solo stay. While not very large, it was well-planned and felt comfortable & cosy without seeming too cramped. The space was very clean, and housekeeping was prompt and efficient. The in-room television had a great selection of channels to watch as well. The bathroom was also very well-designed and stocked with good-quality toiletries. The best part of the bathroom (for me) was that it had a jet spray/bidet! The plumbing was great, and fresh towels were delivered to the room daily (You can opt to have them changed less frequently as well). The room was adequately soundproof. Despite the hotel being fairly full during my dates of stay, I felt no disturbance or disruption. The property also has a great terrace space with a lovely view of the city, perfect for sunrise or sunset lovers. The terrace pool is a great plus, as well. Breakfast offered a considerable spread, but one must realise they're an "express" hotel. Eggs to order and other such requests are not taken, though the buffet usually had boiled eggs and scrambled as options to help oneself to. If you're staying long, the buffet can feel repetitive, but it is by no means lacking in quality. There are several good breakfast joints in the vicinity though, should you want a change of scene. The location is absolutely perfect. A stone's throw away from the Clarke Quay riverside, which is the heart of Singapore's nightlife. You're also within a few minutes' walk from MRT stations and bus stops, so connectivity is not a challenge at all. The staff were also wonderfully helpful -- for everything from giving me an umbrella when a sudden downpour caught me on my way out, to calling a cab for me (since I did not have the local taxi apps). Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Location. Good breakfast (except for smelly cups) and Rooftop and swimming pool. That rooftop deserves quality bar.

Breakfast was good overall but the cups (coffee mug and juice glass) smelled like old clothes. It turned out that the trays which the hotel staff put cups are not cleaned properly. It took some time to find one "not smelly" cup. Once I found one, I used it for coffee and juice multiple times. It ruins the whole experience in Holidayinn.

The location of this hotel is great; close to two metros, in the heart of Clarke Quay where a lot of the entertainment is and the rooms, facilities and breakfast were fabulous! We did really enjoy our stay here overall despite the feedback below.

The only downfall of this hotel were the staff took a while to check us in even though there wasn’t a queue. The hotel should state pre arrival that they take a security deposit on the room as we were unaware of this on arrival. On check out as well they didn’t seem bothered, we weren’t asked how our stay was etc. Finally, I’m not sure if the staff were aware as we were not asked but we were woken up in the early hours of the last morning by a neighbouring room screaming, singing and shouting for 2-3hours, which the staff did nothing about. Seems like a group were continuing their after party in the room close by.

Room is quite small, if guests have 2 or more medium to large size luggage there won't be enough space in the room. On the other hand, housekeeping didn't touch any of our stuffs even though we always leave our luggage open on the floor. Location is a little far from the MRT station but still within a walking distance and hotel is still in the middle of the city center. Lastly, I would suggest a variety of dishes for breakfast since I notice that same dishes are served every other day but this isn't a big issue for me.

The fact that the gym is available 24hrs is a plus but still lack on the equipment and I guess most were either not available/gone. Please add a bar on the rooftop.

Nice area, a few restaurants nearby. Not to far from MRT station (on foot). Very clean room & public areas and helpfull staff. We arrived early in the morning (06:00) and the check in was not until 14:00, however they were able to provide us with a room at 11:00. Considering we had an eleven hours flight, that was more than appreciating. Special thanks to Josephine who was always attentive and willing to answer all our questions from day one. Hard working girl and always with a smile.Also a variety of goods in breakfast. We did not swim in the pool, however the roof top was ideal to relax at the sunbeds and enjoy the view.

As a 4 star hotel, we were expecting a restaurant in the hotel, but no much of a problem since (as mentioned above) there were options to have a proper meal outside the hotel.

The hotel is centrally located between Clark and Robertson Quays with plenty of dining options within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was fairly expansive with plenty to choose from. It can get crowded inside, but there is plenty of outdoor seating so don't let the crowds dissuade you. The hotel provided umbrellas upon request for rainy days and was sure to get us a taxi upon our departure, which was roughly $20 for a family of four to the airport. The nearest metro stops (Clark Quay, Fort Canning & Chinatown) are all within a 10-minute walk. Not much to complain about. Great value and location. If you're someone who's prone to avoid large chain hotel names, you may want to reconsider here.

The only "complaint" I would have is with the shower door in our bathroom. It didn't close securely so water would sometimes spill outside. Also, kept finding little flies in the bathroom that I would get rid of only to find more the next day. Possibly coming up through the plumbing?

Fantastic breakfast buffet with lot of food choices and longer hours unlike their US counterpart. Also, the staff is much more efficient and friendly than here. I stayed at this hotel (with my daughter) for 4 nights. A bit small but not bad at all. I especially liked that they always stocked up the complimentary bottled water, also the sink had a second tap for filling up bottles or glass if needed. Our toilet had a hand held bidet which was great. This particular hotel is near two subway train stations and very close to Chinatown if you don’t mind walking a bit.

Every night, we saw little flying insects in the toilet sink. Quite annoying because we never could figure out where these pesky insects came from. The hotel management needs to look into this problem.

The room was small compared to US standards but adequate for 2 people with separate twin beds. It was clean and comfortable. Coffee and tea and a hot water kettle in the room. In-room safe. Good cleaning/housekeeping. Front desk staff were friendly, and were very patient with our frequent requests to call for a taxi. Taxis came within 3-5 minutes. My IHG Rewards # gave us 10% discount for food at the bar. Breakfast (which was included in the room rate) was excellent - varied and plentiful. Walking distance to Chinatown.

Could have used a bit more space - but I knew it from the previous reviews that the room was going to be small, so I was prepared. The cappuccino machine at the breakfast bar was slow and did not deliver at hot enough temperature. Other than that, breakfast was excellent.

Absolutely fantastic, modern , clean, fabulous staff, amazing buffet breakfast, never seen anything like it. The rooftop gardens and infinity lap pool a perfect place to relax with a view of the city. Location was perfect, we could walk to almost anywhere, taxis are cheap. I love the exchange rate as a Canadian it is only 1 cent off par. The river walk is easy to get to and you can walk all the way to Marina Bay Sands quay. The observation deck a must see.

The room was a little small but clean and comfortable and the breakfast was nice with a good variety of options available. The gym was very good and the pool and rooftop lounge area excellent.

The only problem I had 'and still have' was nothing to do with the room but was one with the billing, after I paid the bill and arrived back home I realized I had been charged two separate figures in addition to the room, the amount is not massive but nonetheless should not have happened as I did't spend anything at the bar or restaurant. I was going to email them but could not find an email address at all so will revert to sending a letter in an attempt to get a refund for the incorrectly charged amount.
