The place is a historical landmark and looks amazing, both inside and outside. The room was very big and with a tall ceiling like in the old days. There was cloth everywhere like lining on the walls and big curtains, but no speck of dust. Everything was very clean in general. In spite of being next to avery circulated street, the room was very quiet and I was able to sleep very well. The staff was nice and welcoming. The breakfast was so large I couldn't eat all of it and the cake at the end was very good. They have a tradition of making them in house. All in all you have the feeling you are living in a museum thus I highly recommend reading up on the place's history before coming to stay, it will enhance your experience.

The bathtub had a plastic partition that was weird to handle. The breakfast is good but nothing fancy, I mean your regular supermaket ingredients. I was expecting something more "gourmet" but all in all it was satisfactory and it does make up for in size.

This was my first stay in Romania and I chose Casa Capsa because of its great history and authentic style. And it didn't disappoint - lovely very elegant interiors, helpful, friendly staff and all in all very charming, elegant character. Room was beautifully furnished and quite large (Deluxe) The hotel is located very central so anything you need is close at hand (sights, museums, banks, shops etc.)

Just the bathroom was a little bit outworn and could use a bit of refurbishing - but nothing too dramatic.

What I love about this hotel is the preservation of historic decor in the rooms themselves. So often historic hotels preserve the lobby but then the rooms themselves are a bland, modern generic white affair. Not the case here. These rooms boast walls of sumptuous dark wood pilasters interspersed with green damask. The furniture is gorgeous inlay wood. Even the bathroom has beautiful woods. The whole experience is warm and inviting. Sure, the carpets could use a refresh, but I'll take that for the Old World feel. The breakfast room off the courtyard was equally very elegant and we enjoyed the good food.

We arrived late in the evening and our first impression was a small hotel entrance on a dark, side alley. I had my doubts whether we had made a good choice. The clerk helpfully let us know there were very few options for quick food in the vicinity. The famed hotel restaurant (that opens on to the main street) appears to be closed for general dining - only open for special catered events. That said, the hotel looked much better in the morning, and was a good location for walking around downtown.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was amazing. We felt like royalty. The room was very quiet en the bed super comfortable. The building is beautifully decorated and original features preserved. Breakfast was nice and served in a lovely room.

Not a problem for us at all, but the bathroom (of the suite) only had a shower. Can imagine people would expect a bath.

Very elegant, very comfortable bed, excellent central location, nice cotton bath robe and slippers, good hair dryer, good shoe polish sponge, can make coffee in the room if needed.

Arrived there late in the evening, so I couldn't enter through the cake shop or the terrace. Maybe the reception entry, facing the bank, on the alley perpendicular to the main street, could be made slightly more visible.

I was upgraded to a junior suite for free, so I had more space than I had expected. Very good breakfast, very nice and helpful staff. The interiors of the hotel are more like interiors of a chateau with all the chandeliers, mirrors and wall decorations. Very good location.

Great location and a beautiful boutique hotel, historic landmark with wonderful architecture that takes you back to the XVIII century. Very clean and friendly, professional staff.

Rooms could do with some improvments such as change of carpets and tapestry in places. Also the bar and restaurant should have been open at least for the residents.

I loved how quiet the hotel was! I liked the feeling of intimacy and that the staff was not interferring at all.

I had one of the junior suites, and there was a constant smell of cozonac/ pastry inside. My boyfriend loved it, though!

location, excellent, friendly staff and very accommodating, rooms very clean and beautiful decorated, the drawback was the poor air conditioning during a very hot week of summer!

the poor A/C and the fact that a room can not have more than one key

Must say that the Hotel was very nice and would like to mention the fantastic staff at the reception Iulian and Andrei as well as George from the patiserrie including the housekeeping. Exceptional and we loved it to bits. Well done. We stayed from 24th of September 22 until the 3rd of October.

Nothing to mention....
