The location is very central. The room is super big The food is good and very reasonable in price. The Staff are EXCELLENT! The breakfast is very good but mostly cater for Chinese guests. I like the free pick-up from the airport I like the free drop off to the airport when guests stayed for five nights or more

The rooms need a bit of maintenance or repairs e.g. the carpet has so many stains There are broken tiles in the restaurants that make it so shabby. The towels smell mouldy, they smell like they have been used by someone else! They need to use different detergent and use conditioners.

Stayed four nights in this hotel for work. It is not like a very posh hotel but it has solid basic services. The staff were kind and professional. The room is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel starts from 7th floor which connects to a nice roof-top bar/restaurant which also serves good breakfast. The lower floors of the hotel is part of local shopping mall (it was too local for me). The roof-top restaurant Bamboo has extensive range of Chinese and local food. Nice view at night from this restaurant.

I noticed two noise sources while in daytime: traditional market outside had a stall using noisy speaker, and the outdoor aircon unit from next room made dangling noise (perhaps it was from right next room). Each room has aircon units, so perhaps one of them had loose bracket. That room checked out next day, and it went all quiet :-)

The STAFF was VERY welcoming. They make you feel at home. The moment you step inside, they will takeover your luggage, guide you to your room. Welcome fruit basket, water with daily replacement, tea/coffee making arrangement in the room. TV , Internet available. Very friendly and cooperative staff who helped me order food of my choice from an outside facility! Breakfast is served in Bamboo restaurant. Fresh eggs are cooked right there on demand and the variety is pretty good, including fresh fruit, fresh juices, bread, eggs, margarine (instead of butter! :( ) rice , salads, chicken & even meat dishes. It’s a BRUNCH, served with smiles! On the second floor is probably the biggest (Chinese) supermarket of Kigali where a variety of stuff is available.

The only negative aspect is that the room is not sound proof. This time I got a room towards the Bamboo restaurant where they use a loudspeaker in the market behind the hotel. The loudspeaker noise starts at 8 or 9am and constantly bangs like a hammer on the head until 11am.

Great location; right in the center of downtown and easy to walk to several cafes and restaurants. Despite being downtown, it felt safe and has good (and friendly) security. I once needed the pharmacy, and the security guard walked with me all the way even though he could have just pointed me in the right direction. Room size was huge (a bit too big perhaps). I was on the 8th floor and had wonderful views over the city. Breakfast was very good, with a sizeable selection. Loved the pineapple juice. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

There is a slighted dated feel to the hotel. Nothing major but parts of the hotel seemed dusty. The breakfast area is one of those slightly dusty areas - seems as if the hotel had grand plans to use all the space but they haven't worked out yet.

Above & Beyond Service We initially booked 2000 Hotel Downtown Kigali for its great location, close to a variety of eateries and shopping, but found it excellent in a multitude of ways! Friendly, professional and helpful staff in every area of the hotel, from Mohamad and Simon in management, all the reception staff, the breakfast buffet crew, the hotel entrance security attendants and other welcomers like Nancy and many more. The rooms are well-appointed and highly rated for cleanliness (kudos to our 8th floor housekeeper, Crescens) and the hotel offers a superb breakfast buffet and restaurant for other meals. Our wonderful one-month stay at this hotel played a major part in our great Kigali experience. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

Beautiful hotel to spoil yourself in the business district! Numerous shopping, market, and food options within easy walking distance, as well as the Belgian memorial. There is even a supermarket downstairs from the hotel where we picked up water, snacks, and toiletries! You can order room service from Bamboo Restaurant next door, which was delicious. Staff was friendly and responsive, including allowing us to check in extremely early. Free airport shuttle. Beautiful view from the rooms. I would love to stay here again.

No complaints at all!

Room was comfortable but our bed was a little lopsided. Staff were incredible and helpful, especially with local food recommendations, tours, places to visit and getting motos (motor bike taxis - cheapest and easiest way around Kigali). Restaurant downstairs was definitely not expected as it was a fusion Chinese restaurant of which there aren't too many in East Africa. Food was great and breakfast was also excellent in it's choices and variety with plenty of breads, juices, an Asian carb or meat/veg dish, Western, soup or porridge and East African choices too. Wi-Fi and showers were great and probably one of the best we stayed at during our trip to East Africa. Great location, in the city centre and easy to get motos around. Pricing was a little bit higher than other places, but it's location to other great spots and convenience was greatly appreciated. Live band and great food at the restaurant was also a highlight.

Bed was a little lopsided, our shower basin leaked a lot after use. Otherwise it was a great hotel and restaurant. Bit on the pricier side for Rwanda but great as a traveller from Australia in reference to pricing. Much cheaper than what you'd get on Zanzibar or on Safari to be fair.

The location is really good, at the heart of Kigali. It is also very safe, with security in the ground floor to enter the building and the receptions upstairs. The room is spacious, the bed is comfy and the bathroom has the necessary amenities. I took a packed breakfast, and it was ok.

When I booked it, in the conditions it was clearly stated that a "one-way airport transfer" was "included in this rate". However, once there, I was told that this was just the 'airport to hotel' transfer, but if I wanted a 'hotel to airport' transfer, I had to pay for it. Finally, though, they arranged for it free of charge.

Breakfast: was good to excellent. Wide range of options. Room: pleasant and spacious with nice view and well cleaned and maintained by Joseph. Joseph tried his best to serve me to ensure my stay was comfortable. Location: Excellent as right in the middle of Kigali city and can take a stroll and easily get taxis to restaurants, bars and clubs or ATM machines was walking distance with plenty of options. Hotel Reception and Ground level Representatives: I would mention great services from the following staffs who goes out of their way to make my stay even more comfortable, warm greetings upon hotel arrival daily and often available to help guide and ensure I am comfortable. Nancy, Adeline, Claire, and Schalom.

Being a Chinese owned Hotel, they have excellent authentic Chinese food. They have a nice gymnasium and a nice restaurant. The breakfast buffet is a mix of continental and other cuisines but a fair spread of breakfast. The location is very central right in the heart of downtown Kigali with many clothing stores around it. They offered me one complimentary airport transfer and one charged airport transfer during my short stay. The day time staff are very nice and welcoming.

They had run out of drinking water when I was there.
