Luxury accomodation in a central location in Kigali. Rooms were spacious, hot water shower & wifi worked great. Heaps of restaurants nearby & tourist attractions within walking distance. Neighbourhood seemed safe with lots of security around. Live music & performances each evening which, if you have a garden room, you can watch from your balcony.

While the hotel was nice - we felt it was overpriced for what it was, and everything you looked to arrange through the hotel (tours / transport) was all extortionately priced. If you walked out the hotel front & arranged a taxi yourself, it would be 1/3 of the price. Overall though, we felt that Rwanda was very expensive so the hotel room cost could simply be a reflection of the area. Also, check the amount they charge you when you checkout! We booked through booking.com with a 10% genious discount, and they tried charging me full price during checkout. It took 15 minutes of standing at the counter & showing them my booking details before they relented (like there was any other choice) before they changed the invoice to the correct amount. Would we stay again? probably not

The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had good variety. Our dinner on our last night was delicious, the Caesar salad had good flavour, as did the curry. The Sauvignon Blanc was perfectly chilled!

The air conditioner in the room was rather noisy. There was no chair on which to enjoy the balcony and the view (room 104). The book on hotel services might need to be updated. It said there was no Sunday restaurant option for dinner, but when we inquired at reception, the restaurant was open.

The staff were all very helpful, especially reception. My luggage went missing on the inbound flight from Amsterdam to Kigali with KLM. They made contact with the airport regularly and notified me when it arrived and it s delivered to the hotel for me. The pool and restaurant staff are very attentive.

I did contact the hotel twice before arriving to allocate a twin room, as we were two friends travelling. I did get a response to say, yes. However on arrival this didn’t happen. We did get a pool view to make amends, and we do appreciate it was the 30th commemoration of the genocide.

The room was well appointed and spacious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were great. I was very impressed with the pool and spa services. If you are staying on a Friday - go to the cultural evening it is great. The food was awesome with good sized servings, including the buffet breakfast. We also asked for a couple of food choices not on the menu and the staff willingly accommodated our requests. This made a great stay fabulous.

Excellent internet signal; this can be a reason to stay at this hotel. The interior decorating differs from the photo on their booking.com page. Interior design is currently both elegant and stylish.

When I need to sleep, I don’t think the soundproof wall exists. I can hear people snoring, using water for whatever purpose, and sweeping the floor in the early morning. My husband claimed to have heard the sound of someone cleaning the room late at night. I don't like the live band on weekends. They have lovely and loudly voices, but I felt forced to listen to the playlist I dislike during 11am to 4pm.

The hotel is such a comfy spot with the green areas around the pool. A wonderful spot for relaxation. The breakfast was good with fresh juices and a good selection of salads and bakery. Food was generally good and not too expensive. The room was nice, comfy and well maintained. The location is good as it is a walking distance from other hotels and restaurants so it gave me the opportunity to just walk around. The mattress was excellent and housekeeping kept the room really clean. Fresh towels and pool towels were so clean as well. Staff are generally helpful.

I would call it ro for improvement not really things I did not like. The reception helpfulness and welcoming attitude varied depending on the receptionist/shift. Sometimes there was no equipped staff (with access to computer) to provide answers to my questions, so this definitely should be considered. It was nothing major or terrible, but for a hotel with this size and prices, an excellent reception is expected to be in place. The balcony in the room is locked 🔒 (I mean the door). This was a bit strange. I managed to use the sliding door but it took some effort. Finally, better toiletries and a mini bar in the room would be good to enhance the value for money.

We stayed here as part of our trip to Rwanda. We couldn't not stay here! The hotel lobby / bar / pool area / restaurant itself is stunning, The staff genuinely make this hotel. Every member of staff could not have been more attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our chats every day. The food here is unbelievable! It was for sure the nicest food we ate in Rwanda. Menu's were brilliant, a lot to choose from, lots of delicious cocktails and great live music. View from our balcony at night was stunning. We will return.

The room / bathroom in the room / corridors to the room are a little dated. The room has what you need but it needs updating, This was not a shock to us although as we expected that from reading reviews. Its an older hotel with a lot of history so this would not put us off booking again. Well worth it.

Superb location just 10 mins walk from the city centre. Great swimming pool, poolside bar serving nice food as well, plenty of comfortable seating areas in beautiful gardens. Poignant memorial with eternal flame to former Tutsi hotel staff murdered in the 1994 Genocide. Good sized room overlooking the gardens, huge comfortable bed. Nice bathroom (bit dated, but spotlessly clean) with a real bath! Food was amazing - delicious and not over pricey. Music entertainment in the evening. The standard of service was outstanding - every member o staff I encountered was cheerful, very polite, attentive...made you feel special. Hotel will arrange car taxis to get you anywhere you like, or pop outside the main gate and 'do as Rwandans do' and jump on the back of a moto taxi (there are thousands of them!) for a fraction of the price (less than a £1 to the Genocide Memorial on the other side of town).

It was absolutely perfect for me.

Great hotel with alot of history to it. Hotel rooms and decor are somewhat outdated but they do their best to ensure rooms clean and everything from the sheets to towels are fresh and up to standard. I loved the hotel grounds and the pool/bar area with the garden view.

The tennis courts are old and outdated. It's better not to have a tennis courts than to have what they have...absolutely horrible/depleted surface..can't get one good bounce and can't even move on the courts. I felt so frustrated playing there.

The hotel is beautifully decorated in the main lobby area, and has lovely outdoor spaces with a large pool and garden area. The restaurant offers great food and has a very nice ambience. The breakfast is also great. The hotel is very well located and staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel feels very safe.

There was live entertainment on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday/Sunday afternoon. This added a nice vibe but the music was very audible from the room I was staying in (which overlooked the garden area); although it did stop by 10pm. I was working whilst staying at the hotel and sometimes the music was quite distracting. Perhaps if you were there on holiday this would be less of an issue.
