It is a cozy place and quite comfortable. I was met by friendly staff each day and it was a casual atmosphere in the residence and restaurant. The bar was welcoming and the prices of beer on tap were reasonable. I did enjoy the breakfast and that was varied and could be customized. Very clean, and plenty of parking for visitors.

I asked for a blanket and was given a second quilt instead. That made the bed very warm. The wall heater, although new was noisy in the night. The towel rack was meant to be heated but that was never fixed. The rooms are not soundproof either so I heard normal level speech and footsteps at nighttime.

The room was lovely and big, we loved the restaurant and the food was impeccable, great service wonderful staff and fair prices for what we received. We will be back again, perfect for a weekend away. We only got one night but it was wonderful.

The room being quite cold without the heating on and then when the heater came on it took ages to heat the room. Couldn’t find a way to turn on the rail heater in the bathroom. And didn’t enjoy the fact they had no staff manning the desk in hotel which meant having to go to the bar to get help if needed. Also when inspecting the bathtub it was not very clean and had bits of hair sticking to it and some kind of soap sticking to it too. Had to clean it myself wasn’t very happy with that.

The hotel accommodation is more like a boutique hotel with a high standard of fittings and fixtures, the breakfast was generous and well cooked with very helpful staff. Parking was very good and on one level away from the main road so very quiet. The reception staff were friendly and helpful asking us about our visit and where we were visiting in the area.

The bath didn't have normal taps but a strange circular device which you turned to activate the water and close the bath plug it worked the 1st day but after that water refused to come out, it wasn't a problem though as we use the shower. Also the waterfall shower head was full of black mould inside and could do with dismantling and cleaning.

The hotel is lovely and it's just close enough to the town that it's not inconvenient to get anything, but far enough away that you still feel separate from all that. The food was great in the pub, both my missus and myself thoroughly enjoyed every meal and the waiting staff were great too.

The lighting in the rooms was a bit dim. It does set a nice cozy atmosphere and it was great when we were settled in bed, but there needs to be at least one light preferably in the centre of the room in case you actually need to see. I wish we could have had a choice for the rooms. Relatives stayed in another room for a few days of our trip and their room had a lovely shower while ours just had a bath. But I know most people probably won't mind that.

A well appointed, comfortable, clean and quiet room, perfect for a 2 night stopover, when visiting family. The staffing team were all friendly and super helpful. Will definitely consider staying again. The food was also good in the attached pub and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner here.

This is a niggle rather than a gripe but the towel rail in the bathroom wasn't working and were told it was through customer misuse and the item was no longer covered by warranty and couldn't be repaired, my feedback is therefore, please just invest to keep the rooms in tip top condition (attention to detail is what sets you apart!)

The location was perfect for our needs. A busy pub, restaurant, hotel, venue although none interfered with our stay or interrupted our sleep. The room was perfect with lots of additional soft furnishings making it cosy and welcoming. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Extra towels and a shower mat were provided on request. Iron & ironing board were available in the room. As we stayed on the ground floor by reception (room 3) we didn’t leave the window open so it was a little warm. I’m certain, had we asked, that a fan would have been available. Receptionist and room staff were very friendly. Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious. We had a very nice meal in the pub when we arrived. Staff were very welcoming, polite, courteous and friendly.

There was nothing to dislike about the property apart from perhaps a damp issue that could be smelt in the hotel reception and corridor.

Breakfast was first class. I travel with work quite a lot, and this was one of the best breakfasts that I have had for a long time. The room was great, although I did have to move rooms due to the "creakiness" of the floors above, and the loud customers next door. Cleaning staff were excellent, and very pleasant to talk with. The lad on reception in the evening was also great too, as she was very understanding of the issue that I had, and resolved it within minutes.

room 2 (the first room I stayed in) did smell a little stale.

The Hotel Receptionist Glynn is fabulous. What a lovely warm welcome she gave us. She was funny and Entertaining. We are Definitely coming back with friends....But ONLY IF Glynn is at the Reception when we book and Turn up. She's a breath of Fresh Air. Also Michelle, lovely Lady too. Room was comfortable and the Restaurant Staff and The Food was great. A big Thank you to the Chef too. Definitely staying here again. Thanks Glynn

What a wonderful gem of a hotel. It far exceeded our expectations as it was such good value for money. Our room was really comfortable and very spacious and we also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb. Most importantly ALL staff across our stay were so friendly and professional. On a very busy Sunday, they managed to change our dinner reservation without issue. Food and drinks were great. What a credit everyone in this hotel is to the hospitality industry!

Really lovely place. Proper English welcoming pub with lots of character. Comfortable and really well laid out. Clean and friendly. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable as well as spotless. Iron hair dryer are provided and the WiFi is strong. The lady on reception was such a lovely lady, so friendly and very funny. She cheered me up after a long day. I’d stay here again anytime. Thoroughly recommend
