The location was perfect close to the road but far enough you didn't hear any vehicles. The outside amenities were great there were tons of grills and fire pits for everyone to use. The lodge supplied the fire wood and there was more than enough so we never ran out. The front porch was wide and had tons of seating area for people to gather and talk if they wanted. Quiet time was respected by everyone. 100% recommend and will be back.
The toilet seat was small and round a little tight for big guys. The first handicap parking spot next to the ramp should be a loading spot not a parking spot. Motorcycle parking spot got blocked by people that couldn't read the signs.

Great fire pits and picnic areas with grills. Great babbling brook next to the lodge. Love the rocking chairs! Just be prepare for how small the kitchenette and bathroom are but totally usable (we loved it, but others just need to be prepared).
WiFi password did not work but since we were only there for one night we didn't ask for the updated one. The small bathroom (which was excellent) has the TP holder (which has a light that turns on along with the toilet!) and extra towels are right next to the sink so water gets splashed on them. Not ideal.

We loved the location of the lodge, the spaciousness of our unit and all the extra amenities included. It was furnished so tastefully and cute with nice linens and fluffy towels. This was probably cleaner than any place we have ever stayed which is a high priority for us. Being able to enjoy the outside surroundings, the peacefulness, and fresh air was a bonus. If we had been able to enjoy another night or two, we would've taken advantage of a campfire, s'mores, and the beautiful evenings.
The only downside was the steep walk up to the lodge. Can only imagine it could be a struggle for some people.

We LOVED our visit to The Lodge! The pictures do not give it justice. It is very close to the tubing, railroad, rafting, and ziplining, but it's tucked up into the woods and mountains with a wonderful creek. Everything you need to have a wonderful, relaxing time is certainly provided for you. The manager is lovely, and the owners were quick to respond with any questions that we had. There are grills, picnic tables, rocking chairs, a fire pit, even board games you can take back to your room or play on your rocking chairs that are right there in front of your room. A smaller lodge, which we loved as well. A hidden gem that I can't wait to go back to over and over again! Thank you NL for a wonderful visit.

The lodge was very clean, comfortable and just what we had envisioned. We loved the crisp fresh mountain air and the sounds of the small water source that ran down the hill in front of the property. Our room was clean, comfortable and had authentic memorabilia hanging on the walls. We didn’t see any staff during our stay and basically we were left to own devices but everything was perfect so it wasn’t a problem. We loved this property and would definitely stay here again.
There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

The Lodge has a wonderful caretaker. He made us feel at home and showed us where he keeps the S’Mores materials and got a fire going every night. There are rocking chairs outside of every room and around the campfire, a pavilion, a second gas-powered fire pit, and picnic tables. The property is remote. No cell signals, but has good WiFi. You can here cars from the road below, but it’s pretty quiet most of the time. It is also about 20 to 30 minutes from town but a restaurant is about 1 or 2 miles down the road toward Bryson City. Our room had a kitchenette so we could have made something if we wanted though. It is also very close to the various river rafting vendors.
The mattress was softer than my wife liked but this is a personal preference.

The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you are coming to this area for the rafting experience- this property is perfect for you!
The steep incline from the parking area to the rooms would make it very difficult for anyone who has mobility issues. Also the property is a fair distance from Bryson City (20 min) and Smoky Mtn. National Park (35 min.) - if you’re planning to visit those areas. It was pretty daunting coming back to the property late at night - as the road is very curvy and difficult to see ahead in the dark. Also please note- if you’re staying for the “efficiency kitchen” part because you’re planning to make some meals on your own, the kitchen is the bathroom. I had never seen a set up like that before.

Centrally located to the Nantahala Valley. I hate to give a recommendation that makes it more expensive for me to stay there in the future, but I cannot hesitate to say you should definitely stay here. The ambiance is gorgeous, they have board games and a fire every night. They even have a Smores box so you can go make a s’more at the fire. Plenty of parking. Reasonable quiet time rules without being intrusive. The rooms are amazing and smell fantastic. Lots of outdoorsy amenities like rocking chairs on the porch. Grills. Two outdoor spaces. Clothes line in the shower to get your wet clothes dried after white water rafting. We loved it.

The room had all the necessities! Coffee is great and I loved that it was a full-size coffee pot. There is a large outdoor area for campfires and cornhole. The site provided free wood and smore stuff, I wish I knew because I bought some before we got there. We were able to bring food to cook there and we ate on the rocking chairs on the porch every morning. Very charming location, with friendly people.
The beds could have been a bit larger and softer, I do have a King-size at home with lots of padding so it might be an unfair comparison. The Blackstone could be a little closer since we could not fry in the room but I understand the need for distance with smells and fires. Most breakfast food needs frying like bacon and eggs.

The room was super clean and had anything you could want. It was very well laid out. I liked that there were packets to make a full pot of coffee. There was even a cutting board if you wanted to prepare a little meal, along with a microwave and mini fridge. The staff was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere of being down in the trees made it so cozy and a cooler temperature up at the hotel. I loved the large wooden deck with the rocking chairs. There were even complimentary games available and places to go grill and sit to eat outside. I wish our stay had been longer.
I liked everything. You can hear if someone is running up and down the deck, but there are signs saying no noise after 10 pm, and the signs were respected so you can get a good night's sleep, but it's kid friendly. There is handicapped parking for those that can't get up the hill from the lower parking area, so that's not a problem. There is also a ramp. Really, nothing to complain about. Everything was great! I would highly recommend this place. It's only three minutes from the River's End restaurant which was also very good.
