We chose this hotel because of its good value, but also to enjoy a few hours sitting on the back deck overlooking the river. The charm of this place is that it‘s not a box type, corporate-run hotel, it’s a local business run by people who are part of the community. It‘s older, but very clean, the rooms are nicely decorated, and the covered back deck and river are the bomb. Even nice during the rain! In-room coffee, all the regular stuff you need for a comfortable stay— all that was just great. Who wants to stay in a box-hotel when you can overlook the river?

Location, price and pet friendly. It’s located on a body of water and has a back deck outside the rooms back door. The yard could be better maintained, but it appeared that they are working on fixing things up, so maybe we’ll stay again in the future and this will be better than the last.

Although it is pet friendly, many of the other guests with pets don’t clean up after their pets ruining it for those of us who do. Maybe if they provide a “poop station of sorts with bags and trash cans for disposal that would help the ungrateful pet owners from being lazy.

It was an older facility, dating possibly to the 1950s. However, it was clean, conveniently located, and comfortable! It was located on the banks of the picturesque Tuckaseegeei River halfway between Cherokee and Bryson City North Carolina. If you are looking for a location near local businesses and attractions, this is not the place to be!!! But, if you are looking for for quiet, clean, And relaxing, You will love this place!! I will plan on a return visit!!!

Google maps took me to a location in downtown Bryson City.. The hotel is actually located 4 1/2 miles north on highway 19 toward Cherokee North Carolina

The convenience to everything was very nice, we came for the Polar Express. The staff was very polite as well. And the room was nice with the view of the river was beautiful!!

The bathroom was freezing no matter how high we cut the heat up. The bed was hard woke up and my back was hurting so bad I could barely move.

We rented the King room with River view. It was awesome. It had a sliding glass door out to the patio overlooking the river. The view was beautiful. Yes, the other rooms share the patio but they are not close together and we didn't see many people out. There are picnic tables and grills out back also, we did not use, as we were only there one night, but would use if staying longer. The bed was extremely comfortable, I was highly impressed with that. This isn't the Ritz...so don't expect that, but it was cozy and just what we wanted for an overnight stay after taking a train ride.

Ice machine did not work, luckily the mini fridge had a ice box and that worked very well. The AC would occasionally unplug from the wall, like fall out of the socket. I need noise when I sleep so to correct that, next time I will bring a fan with me no big deal. The room was plenty cool enough.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful and nice. He brought up extra blankets and towels without asking. It was very quiet and relaxing.

Not much. The only complaint I have was the shower head was way too low. I’m 6 foot 4 and it only came up to mid chest.

It was a good value. Not fancy or elegant. Simple. No frills. It was a reasonably comfortable room and bed, reasonably clean, and my interaction with the front desk clerk was pleasant. If I am in that area again and in need of a motel room, I will give them my business again.

Lamps on the nightstand tables would be nice, so that customers didn't have to walk to the wall switch by the door to turn off the lights. It would be nice to be able to turn off the lights from the bed. It also would be nice if the heater/air conditioner were quieter, as it was fairly loud.

The location is good for the area, Enjoyed staff, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is the older model but everything worked well and met all my needs.

The room was great bed was comfortable but it squeeked a lot and popped a lot when u moved on it . Would suggest putting like 2 more towels and wash rags in the room .also found someone’s train tickets under the coffee pot that was from April.

Nothing really could have been better

The room I stayed in was very nice. The view was better than I was expecting. You can tell it is an older hotel but it is so charming. The reason I went was for rest and relaxation. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience, no you won't get that here. If you are looking to relax and unwind and not be so dependent on devices and such, then I recommend it. I chose this place because of different reviews but also the pictures is what drew me in. My stay was way too short (2 nights) and I feel it was well worth a 6 plus hour drive to get there.

There wasn't much to not like. The only issue I had was that the bathroom sink did not look like it had been cleaned so I cleaned it myself. Everything else looked nice and clean.
