Lovely stay for 2 nights in the Windrush suite. Staff were all brilliant, friendly and attentive, really comfortable bed, I’m 7 months pregnant and found the room spacious, good amenities and quiet. I slept very well and can be a real bed / pillow snob and these were lovely and extremely comfortable. The large double wardrobe was spacious and allowed us to tidily pack away all of our clothes and shut the doors on our suitcases keeping the room tidy. The included breakfast was very good, with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee, and whilst we didn’t get a chance to try the evening menu it looked delicious and we will definitely dine there while we return.
There was no mini fridge in the suite, when booking a long weekend it’s nice to be able to store some drinks or fruit. Also there was no side board or anywhere in the bathroom to store toothbrush and toothpaste, even a cup in the bathroom to stand them in would have been nice. Face flannels also would be a nice touch. And finally the room lighting was very warm, whilst super cosy at night, it made dressing / getting ready difficult as all orange light, some white light would also have been good.

We stayed for a 2 night midweek break, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed in one of the courtyard room which was very nice and with a warm ambiance and nice touch that the radio was on when we got yo the room after having a complimentary drink on arrival. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and would visit again.
As stated in What we did like it was overall was very good. Our only disappointment was that on our first evening, the food in the restaurant was not hot. One dish was warm, with another being cold. This was on the Wednesday where there is 25% off food with the loyalty card, which i felt over stretched the kitchen. But the staff were very friendly and we weren't charged for one of the dishes

emailed to pre check in, on arrival was advised which room we was staying in, and told they would take the bags to the room, whilst we could have a free drink in the bar, we then later had a meal booked in, which was very good, next morning came down for breakfast, and as it was part of the stay, i had a Burford Breakfast, which is a lighter version of the full breakfast, and my wife had the vegan breakfast, both were very nice, overall, room was excellent, comfortable and warm, bed was good, we also had a dog with us which wasnt a problem., parking for the car was ok, but as we arrived on a Friday after five, car park was nearly full, would arrive earlier next time.
Nothing, will stay again.

The decor was beautiful and attention to detail great, pumpkins around the whole building and worked with the season perfectly
There was nothing about the property that we didn’t like. Only issue we found was the ability to get a taxi to go out. We had planned an evening out and were unable to get a taxi although the lovely lady gave us a list to try and call, none were available due to lack of taxis/companies in the area. Not an issue the hotel can fix but something for guests to be mindful of as we had travelled solely for this evening out and were unable to carry out our planned evening.

Personable, helpful staff- we were upgraded on arrival ! Beautiful, large room. Enormous comfortable bed. The whole hotel has a air of understated luxury and ambiance. The food was great- when enquiring why a Scotch Egg was taking so long to arrive, they said it was 'still being cooked'! It was delicious. as was the breakfast.
Although it was a fair sized car park, it was difficult to get a space due to locals arriving for meals and drinks. Didn't login to Free WiFi, because the final screen expected you to sign up to their loyalty scheme- no good if you're only there for one night.

From the minute we parked in the car park, we could tell that we would have a good stay. The outside was clean, tidy, and welcoming. The signage was neat and informative. Walking through the front door, the lighting was moody, and created an atmosphere that matched the decor and history of the building. Staff greeted us with a smile, and found our booking straightaway. We were very lucky that we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room was amazing. The whole Inn had recently been refurbished, and it was beautiful. Every area was relaxing, interesting decoration, and tasteful. The radio was on when we went into the room, which added to the calm and welcome the room presented. Loved it! Great tea tray, including a cafetiere for coffee. Powerful shower. Really comfy bed. We ate every night in the restaurant. The food was excellent, and a good choice for all food tastes. Same menu throughout the building, but you could choose a formal setting in the dining area, or the casual bar, or even order from your table outside. The main selling point for the Prince of Burford is the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and it was obvious that teamwork was a key factor there. We loved our stay, and we will be returning.
Maybe fruit in some form as an option on the food menus; breakfast and main meals. Also, more vegetables with the meals rather than having to buy and order separately? Very minor point, because overall, everything was excellent!

It’s a lovely period property, lovely decor in keeping with the property and beautifully kept. The room was clean and attractive. Nice tea, coffee facilities with little jars of cookies and glass bottles of water, fresh milk from the bar in a little flask instead of UHT milk was a nice touch! Breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal.
The only downside was the noisy road outside. It was a mild night so we had the window ajar and the traffic noise went on late into the night and started up early again, especially for a Sunday morning.

Beautiful hotel set in a lovely location. Rooms are beautiful with lovely shower and luxury shampoo/body wash, nice extras including retro dab and large 46"TV. Bed was super comfy, probably the best bed and pillows we have ever slept on, food is very good with plenty of choice and the dining room is exceptional, breakfast in the morning was amazing with plenty of choice including beautiful filter coffee and fresh orange, I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Burford and this freshly refurbished hotel.is the best so far, staff are super efficient and friendly too.
Nothing to dislike

We stayed here for a honeymoon break & got upgraded to a gorgeous junior suite. The room was just beautiful with lovely extra touches which made it feel so much more than just a hotel room and it was nice walking in with the radio playing in the background 😊 The bed was extremely comfy and it had a lovely big bathroom with an amazing shower. The whole place was spotless too with lovely decor. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Plenty of choice also for breakfast. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill with a 5 min walk to a good selection of shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and it has a big car park. I would definitely recommend this hotel & would have no hesitation in returning. A fantastic find!
Nothing! It was all perfect!

Prince of Burford is in excellent location .its a very comfortable cosy hotel. We have stayed many times over the years . Nice tray in room with home made biscuits good coffee etc. Excellent breakfast with local ingredients . Lovely receptionist Mig who gives a very warm welcome to all . Also extremely helpful.
Too many cosmetic extras in the rooms eg plants books etc taking up a lot of room Could do with a shelf in bathroom to keep toothbrushes shavers etc .
