A lovely clean room, very comfortable bed, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits in the room. A delicious beautifully cooked full English breakfast and a choice of meals in the evening, again all beautifully cooked. The village is quiet and there are wonderful views of Morecambe Bay. A short drive takes you to Morecambe and Heysham or up into the Lake District. The staff made us very welcome and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

A fantastic pub in a great little village. Good home made food in a lovely atmosphere. We have stayed here a couple of times now and would have stayed there more often if we could have got a room but it always seems to be fully booked when we want to go. The management and staff are hands on and so friendly and helpful. The locals are amazing. You can't walk around the beach or village without everyone saying hello. I would love to live here. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfy. There is plenty of tea & coffee in the rooms. There are several areas to sit and eat or just have a drink in the pub plus plenty of outside seating and tables. They have parking in front of the pub plus a carpark at the side. It's a great place to explore the surrounding areas or just to go walking locally. I love sitting down on the beach watching the sun set. Its so peaceful.
Leaving. We will be back

We were welcomed and shown to our room by a very pleasant and competent member of staff. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable and clean. Check-out was straight-forward.
Breakfast was offered 'between 0800-0930 at 15 minute intervals' so we booked for 0800 and our choices were made the night before. This should have worked well as we wanted to make an early get-away onto a long drive. However, the staff member who was due to serve us (and cook the breakfast?) only arrived on-site at 0800, so we weren't actually served our hot food until nearly 0830, which delayed our departure past 0900. As it turned out, it didn't seriously affect our day, but what is the point of creating an expectation of an 0800 breakfast when there was seemingly no plan to make that happen?

Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are so friendly, dogs are also made to feel welcome and they are allowed with you almost all over the hotel except for one area, which meant we could eat and still have our doggy with us, the location is a perfect base to explore the surrounding areas
The menu was limited however what was on there was amazing, we stayed for a week and to be faced with the same everyday was a little monotonous, we would have loved a curry or chilli and some specials to choose from….however the food was exceptional good

Very tranquil. Garden was beautiful .Hotel was well decorated and divided into cosy areas. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening meals were very good, particularly the bome made pies. Butter and jams in open pots rather than butter sachets and individual jars were a welcome touch
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Scrambled eggs are not available and the poached eggs were not great. It would have been good to have more variety of cold food, particularly fresh fruit and fresh yoghurt.. Howevet, having pre-booked breakfast time slots meant that the breatfast room was quiet

The Silverdale Hotel is a little gem. The pictures on Booking.com don’t do it justice. Many times I have flicked past it when looking to book. The hotel is lovely, very cute, nothing fancy but just a lovely, clean pub hotel with everything you need. The food is fabulous, we had a roast dinner and one of the pies. Best pies we’ve ever had!! Breakfast excellent, restaurant again spotless clean and good traditional pub feel. The staff are what really makes this hotel, so welcoming and friendly, gives the place a lovely feel. Made our dogs welcome which is also a huge plus for us. Already booked again. Would recommend to anyone 😊

Stayed for one night at this hotel. Very pleased with the location and our family room. The accommodation was very clean and spacious. Lots of tea and coffee options available in the room, as well as bottles of water. The bathroom was very clean and shower soap was provided. We dined in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the choices available. We had breakfast as part of our one-night stay.. It was extremely tasty with good quality products. The location was a good stopping point for exploring the area. We would stay again....
Not very keen on having dogs in the indoor dining areas.

Lovely place to stop by in Silverdale. Really down to earth and run by family. Feels like at home when there. We played darts, had some Pizza as it was Pizza Monday and drank some beers and cider pints. Met British ladies who play in a darts club locally and they were super nice and kind as we chatted with them. Overall worth a stop on your way to Lake districts. Very peaceful and beautiful. Lots of books to read and seems there are hiking trails as we met so many people coming from hike. Free parking on site, however roads are narrow hence think of the car type if you plan to go by car those sides
Breakfast can be improved.

Our stay at The Silverdale Hotel was fantastic! Managed by Caroline Binks, who was friendly, polite, and catered to our every need, the service was exceptional. The entire staff was excellent, ensuring we had a great experience. We spent much of our time in the well-run, well-stocked bar, enjoying a fantastic selection of Real Ales, Craft Lagers, and wines. The food was superb—far beyond typical pub fare. From the Beer Battered Haddock to the daily specials, every meal was a delight, and the Pie of the Day was a standout. The full English cooked breakfast was also superb, setting us up perfectly for the day. We stayed in Room 7, a spacious family room with a stunning sea view. It comfortably accommodated the three of us with modern amenities like free WiFi, a SMART TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. The room was spotless, and the sea view made our mornings special. The Silverdale Hotel exceeded our expectations, combining excellent service, great food, a welcoming bar, and comfortable accommodations. We can’t wait to return!
It was all good.

The location is wonderful and the service is outstanding - really personal and the kind that you won't find if you stay at one of the big chains. We will definitely return.
This is a minor thing so don't worry about it. We brought our dog and we wondered whether, probably quite rightly, the rooms set aside for dog owners might not be as lovely as the other rooms in the hotel. But...don't get me wrong, our room was absolutely fine, just not as nice as some of the pictures of other rooms. I wondered whether it was a dog thing - they can be a pain for hoteliers sometimes, eh?
