Excellent location, greeted on arrival by the host Tony who explained facilities well. Breakfast was part self service for cereals, yogurts, drinks and toast; with cooked breakfast served to order. All evening meals were served to the table. All food was of an excellent quality in terms of presentation, taste, amount and value for money. I booked a king deluxe en suite room with a view of the estuary…….. well worth it! Room was well proportioned, lovely bay window with easy chair seating to make the most of the views. Plenty of storage space, dressing table and extras appreciated (toiletries, beauty products, bottles of water and a variety of hot drinks which were topped up daily. Definitely return. Great team effort.

Nothing to say here

After a slight Hiccup with the room on arrival, which was very quickly sorted, Staff were exceptional and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was very nice, we both had full cooked english, which was well cooked, cereals yoghurts etc were provided if required, Buffet style. The room, Estuary, was clean and very comfortable with excellent views. Dinner in the Restaurant was well cooked and of high quality, Prawn and the Calamari Starter were well cooked. Their was a good selection of Mains and desserts for all tastes. The serving staff were very friendly and again could not do enough for you. I mentioned to the waiting staff on the first night that I would have had the pie, but prefered a proper Water Crust enclosed pie rather that a Puff pastry top, next evening a proper steak pie was on the menu which was enjoyable.

Nothing

Friendly staff, good food, encountered none of the problems mentioned in some other reviews, so glad we didn't take the negative reviews more seriously. We pointed out a glass had been broken outside, staff acted immediately to clear it up. We forgot to pay for one meal, and it wasnt mentioned when we checked out. Luckily we remained around a while, and the landlord politely approached us and checked if that was indeed the case, and we were able to put it right without feeling (too) bad! Arnside is a good place to stay with lots of walks for our dogs, the Fighting Cocks is well located and a good place to stay in Arnside, for location, dog-friendly facilities, and good customer service.

A few cobwebs around skirting boards. No real views from the windows of the dog friendly room we stayed in. Neither enough of an issue to not stay there again in the same room.

Perfect spot for stop over on the way to Scotland as about 20 mins from the M6. Have been here many times. Great views if you get a front facing room Lovely breakfast . Yippee -accepts pets so we could bring our guinea pigs in a cage . Sadly Pet friendly rooms don't have a view but you are on the waterfront and can sit in the beer garden looking towards the Lake district mountains or walk along the promenade or up Arnside Knot or to the shops. Peaceful.

Can't do anything about it but internet reception is poor and limited parking on the slope so you may have to park on the street but that is very quiet so not a problem.

I liked being in a quiet annex away from the main building. I had 2 sea views n parking was close by n good. Since I was on a very strict diet I took my own food n didn't eat any hotel meals but was very pleased I wasn't hassled about that. There was easy access to my room, plenty of space, a comfortable bed n a good shower.

It wasn't clear where the iron n ironing board were stored. The window faced the back entrance to the hotel so I felt people could see in n wd have liked a half net curtain. The corridor lights didn't come on at night until I had taken quite a few steps in the dark

The owner was friendly and had upgraded our room free of charge on arrival. All the staff were cheerful and very professional. The bed was super comfy allowing for a great nights sleep and there was a fan in the room which proved essential as it was warm the night that we stayed. The breakfast was really good with a good selection, tasty and generous. There is a lovely beer garden overlooking the estuary which is thoughtfully laid out with plants to provide a more private feel. We also ate at the pub and the food was good. As we were checking out we shared with the owner that we were going for a walk and he took time to check the local forecast for us and give some advice since the weather was changeable. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

The bathroom, whilst clean was looking a little tired however the owner informed us that there is a refurbishment planned soon.

The room was extremely clean with all the facilities that you would need and expect - we had a deluxe room which was in the annexe/barn - It was just separate to the main pub. We parked on the street which was fine as we could see the car from our room. The room was extremely quiet and had fantastic views of the estuary and hills. The room had a fan which was great as well as a kettle and plenty of tea/coffee and milk as well as daily biscuits. The water was hot and powerful, we always travel with our own pillows but the bedding and bed was very comfortable and gave us a good night sleep. cannot fault the breakfast as it was delicious and had everything you needed. Staff very friendly, will definitely stay here again as we was visiting friends who lived in the village.

all very good - no complaints

The room was lovely, with a large window and great view. The bed was very big and extremely comfortable, and the pillows especially were very good. Decor was tasteful, with good quality furniture including an amazing Narnia-style wardrobe and full-length framed, free-standing mirror. The tray for muddy footwear was a good touch, and the binoculars. Parking was very convenient.

A lighter breakfast option rather would have been good - yoghurt, fruit, granola, toast and jam or muesli for example - the only available option was a full English. A coffee machine in the room or real coffee available in the pub in the morning would also have been enormously appreciated, although there are cafes very nearby serving fresh coffee.

Cosy rooms, lovely eating area views were nice. Overall lovely staff, food was beautiful!

Everything was lovely, the man behind the reception desk did come across a little rude and patronising also heard him on the phone being rude to what sounded like other customers. I read the message he sent wrong and believed we were able to check in earlier he felt the need to read back the message instead of just explaining we would of been happy to wait. The room was sorted early which we appreciated but please be a bit understanding that things can be misinterpreted. Was a lovely stay will definitely consider coming back thank you for having us.
