This is the place to stay if you're flying out early the next day. It's not the Ritz but it can hold up to 6 people so great for a family. It is basic motel accommodation but the room was very clean and the sheets were crisp and snowy. With a small kitchenette, large bathroom and a big flatscreen, it has everything you want for that one nighter. There are a few shops only a few minutes walk away but only basic takeaway, minimart and liquor so if you want that sit-down meal you will need to look further afield. The bonus is the airport shuttle which is no charge and can start at 3am for those early flyers.

The only thing is that after checking into the room I noticed that there were only 2 towels for 5 people. I returned to Reception and it seemed a massive effort for the lady there to get the 3 extra towels and some shampoo sachets. She was bit surly about it and even more so when I asked for 2 extra pillows - I got one.

Booked in just before midnight and they accepted!

There was a blood stain on the white sheet and also the pillow smelled like it hadn’t been change. I could smell smoke on it! The Shower hose was leaking. The 3 red chairs inside the room had awful Stains on it! As we were still sleeping early in the morning around 8am we got a shock because a staff member didn’t bother knocking on the door first she tried to barge it open which made us scared. The communication for the staff need to be delt with properly so that way the morning staff never open doors like that again!

The gentleman who drove us to the airport was very kind and accomodating We hadn’t slept all night the service station close by was very noisy. So we were ready earlier then we had originally booked to go to the airport but he didn’t mind taking us earlier.

When I rang to book I was told to book on line, it wasn’t explained to me that you had to use your website. I didn’t even know that that I was on a booking site I was told on the phone that the first 2 weeks leaving our car there was free and when I got there It was only 7 days free so it turned out very expensive. My bed was not very comfortable.

Big room with Spa, kitchenette, big TV, free Wifi. We just stayed a night to pick up our camper on the next day, so we just needed a rest, a good night sleep after a long flight and enjoyed the spa. The beds were very comfy and we slept 9h through. Great value for money - choose the spa room which is furthest away from the main road with traffic noise.

It's not quite a tourist area, but close to a major route and a servo, so there are some traffic noises there. But our room was far enough away and we got a good night's sleep:)

I booked here because we were originally going to land early in the morning and would need transport to our accommodation i.e a shuttle. Even though we ended up on a flight that landed early afternoon, we are very appreciative of this service. The rooms are very spacious with an excellent aircon. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Will definitely book again and will also take advantage of the long-term parking.

The shower door (unit 6) kept coming off the runner - needs repair. The unit had a very faint moldy smell that you smelt every once and a while but that was quickly forgotten because of the overall cleanliness of the room. The surfaces on the crockery was a bit rough so we had to give them a hot wash and rinse b4 using

Everything. Snazzy bathroom, comfy beds, and early-morning coffee when you want it. Also, the shuttle driver was super friendly (& a fellow former Limousine Chauffeur). :D

IF I'd thought things through alot better when booking a holiday to Aussie, I would have booked in with the Lodge way earlier than the 2 or 3 days notice I gave them. It would have also saved me parking at the Airport (I'd already pre-paid that... Oh, well; live & learn.)

It was nice and clean, it had everything I needed to sleep and make a cup of tea. The shower was nice and hot with good pressure. Being able to leave my car for 7 days is wonderful and the shuttle service was fantastic too.

I felt cold in the unit and was very glad that I had a hot water bottle to get to sleep. There were no heaters in the room. TV was limited to 2 channels so i could not watch the tv one news at 6pm..

Shuttle was very quick both to and from the airport. Communications and instructions by phone to catch the shuttle were informative and helpful. The room was much bigger than we expected and the beds were super comfortable. We've stayed in various accommodation all around the world, and for the price and convenience the Auckland Airport Lodge was really good.

Having to carry big suitcases up to the second floor at about 2am and trying not to disturb the other residents.

We had the 2 bedroom family room and it was great. Good living space and kitchen with microwave and hot plates for cooking. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Booking the free shuttle to the airport was simple and they had a handy trailer that could accommodated 3 bike boxes which was super handy. Definately worth staying here if you are transitting to or from the airport.

Free shuttle bus at any time a real bonus as we were travelling very early morning. Bed were very comfortable and rooms had lovely kitchen facilities. Lots of space in all areas. Room was clean. Staff were very friendly. Close to bus stops making it easy to get around.
