The building was beautiful from the front porch to the common areas, from our room to the upper backyard porch- there has been so much thought put into all of the tiny details throughout this hotel. The washrooms are beautiful and provide you with a shower that has three different stream options and was massive- it felt like something you’d find at a high end spa. We not only had the standard shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but there was also face wash provided, and a straightening iron for my hair. the brand of the toiletries provided was trendy and unique. the staff were wonderful, social and patient. there is a bar open until 11pm and they have a menu of unique cocktails to suit anyone’s taste!! you won’t want to miss the 6pm sabring of the champagne in the back yard where you can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles while meeting other guests. the bellwether provided a unique twist of the traditional bed and breakfast- they have a full complimentary breakfast menu and it’s been a while since I’ve paid for breakfast as good as the one I had there! (I had the mushroom tartine and potatoes)

My husband and I loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat! The property is gorgeous, on a beautiful street in the Historical District. We loved sitting on the long front porch with the complimentary champagne every night. The rooms are big with tall ceilings, and the beds are very comfortable. Our favorite part of the day was coming back after exploring the city all day and joining the afternoon tea. The pastries at the tea were always delicious, fresh, and something new to look forward to each day. The breakfast menu was creative and delicious as well. What really stood out more than anything though, was the amazing staff. We have never experienced such a genuine and caring staff anywhere else! This bed and breakfast goes way above and beyond to make guests feel at home, and we will recommend it to everyone we know.

The entire property was beautiful; from the moment we arrived out front I was smiling. The exterior was well maintained in historic design and the interior was a wonderful mixture of historical and relaxed elegance. The breakfast were enjoyable, very tasty and prepared to order. My favorites were all the delicious pastries and treats during Tea Time. Our room lacked nothing. The bed was comfy and the emerald green bathroom was beautiful! All of the staff were so friendly and polite during each interaction. We appreciated what felt like “special attention”….but I bet they treat everyone the same. Thank you! We enjoyed our stay in room 3, it was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

The hotel is located on a beautiful quiet and peaceful street in the heart of the southern historic district of Savannah. It is literally a block away from Forsyth Park. Parking was simple here, and they also offer a complimentary valet if you need it. We loved leaving our vehicle where it was all weekend and walking around the city. The staff is incredibly accommodating. I needed a special gift for my wife (we were celebrating our 11th anniversary), and they recommended a local bookstore. I arranged with the bookstore and Bellwether staff to have the gift card wrapped and waiting for us on the bed when we arrived, which my wife found to be very special. They also gave us great dinner recommendations. Thank you Bellwether! The food and beverages were divine. Brunches in the morning were some of the fanciest and most delicious breakfasts we've had. The made-to-order coffees were excellent as well. Tea times in the afternoons were a welcome break from other activities. Champagne sabering in the evening was special and fostered a sense of community and celebration, which helped our anniversary feel intimate.

I can't even think of one negative thing to say. I wouldn't have changed anything about our stay, and I've had several days to think about it.

A really laid back property where the staff are exceptionally good. The beds are so comfy and the flavours of the cooked breakfast…. Sublime. As I’ve said the staff are laid back and efficient with nothing too much trouble. The property is from the 1800’s and has a majestic feeling. The area is in the historic quarter and the walk to the river was about twenty minutes going through the various squares. Obviously “Forest Gump” square is a must to have a photo taken. Though the new bench has gone as people, apparently, we’re taking bits of it home!

Nothing really. The only issue was that the sink tab in her room decided to turn into a fountain😊. But quickly resolved

This is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast with a great location, just 2 blocks from Forsyth Park. Those beautiful Spanish Moss filled tress lines the streets in this area. A 10 minute Uber ride gets you to the river front and the downtown area. Gabi, Brandon, Allyson, Cobi and Tyra were fantastic and made sure our 40th Wedding Anniversary was throughly enjoyed and pleasurable. I would definitely go back and stay again.

One improvement would be to have a small couch or something to sit on. This is minor if you don't mind sitting on a bed.

We have been blessed to travel extensively and stayed in some amazing BandBs and this deserves a spot at the top. Not overly ornate or fancy but everything was perfect. Very comfortable. The staff was fantastic, location perfect (close to everything but quiet with a little feel of seclusion. Felt like you were part of the neighborhood). Breakfast was AMAZING but do yourself a favor and ask for the menu when you arrive so you can start pondering the options. A breakfast of this quality at any restaurant in town would set you back $60 to $75 alone.

Truly, everything about this place was outstanding. The exceptional service by the "A Team" (Alison & Ashley) was appreciated. Mustache guy (didn't catch his name, but he had an outstanding mustache) was just as great. Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful and creative. Signature drinks from coffee & tea to the Champaign were also great! Kind and genuine service in every respect. The room was incredibly spacious and unique. Beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure. In close proximity to everything downtown related.

The only "bad thing" I can come up with is that the hallway light shined through the window above the door. Not significant by any means, but I like sleeping in a dark room. A curtain there would have helped. Very insignificant and it did not bother my husband in the least. :)

If you expect comfort and consideration from your vacation stay, the Bellwether House is an outstanding top choice among the many offered in Savannah. From the myriad of included fine breakfast options that surpass those offered at nearby restaurants, to the absolutely classy tea time drinks and snacks they treat you with every day, into the nightly champagne sabrage celebration, our three-night stay was the highlight of the visit. Rooms: Internet-connected everything. Chilled bottles of water and soda, and an incredibly comfortable bed. The hot water never ends, and the towels are some of the softest I've felt. Food & Drinks: Dining room tea and drinks are offered at all hours, while breakfast requests are granted from 8a until noon. Afternoon tea and snacks are delivered to guests from 3-5p. Champagne is offered to those in attendance at 6p. Noteworthy: Ashley, Alison, Matt, and chef Rae all helped make our stay especially memorable. We thank them, along with many others who supported them.

Wi-Fi was occasionally spotty out to room #7, and our ceiling fan light surprised us in the middle of the night on two occasions.

This place was amazing; great location in historic downtown; staff was incredible, friendly and professional. Tea time delicious, unfortunately we missed champagne hour at 6p, and breakfast was incredible. The building is historical and looks as though it was remodeled recently and still kept the character. The room was on second floor with its own keypad entry. The room was beautiful and very comfortable with all necessities (robe, safe, mini fridge , toiletries). Sat on the lovely covered porch several times and enjoyed a cup coffee during a rainstorm. Would love to return and stay longer!!!

This isn’t a dislike; just suggestions: room could us hooks for purse, coats, robe, etc…and maybe new tv (it wouldn’t work???). Staff member tried but couldn’t get tv to work??
