This property exceeded my expectations!!! I was looking for something comfortable, clean, affordable and in a decent location to downtown. The room was BEAUTIFUL, along with the property. I took tons of pictures so I can mimic it at home. It was perfect for our one night in town. We had a car so were able to boogie in to town quickly at night but also could have walked if needed. Only downfall with walking was that we spent the entire day exploring the city by foot so by the time dinner rolled around, we had zero interest in walking again. Luckily we did have a car so that didn't matter. We would 100% come back to this location.

If you don't have a car and don't want to walk, this may not be the best location for you.

very nice hotel, great location

the check in is via code locks, I did not receive the code (it is supposed to be sent a day ahead), even though I received many copies of other messages from the hotel. the lock code never arrived. fortunately I was there early and a helpful staff member provided me with the code. the WiFi did not work on the first night, it was then fixed and worked fine on my second night.

Room was beautiful and very clean! There were dishes to eat off of which was much nicer than eating out of takeout boxes, and the shower was huge and amazing, easily the best part of the room. Being able to simply walk into our room when we arrived was wonderful, I wish every hotel could use such a seamless check in and check out system.

Honestly, my only complaints are very minor. The mattress was a bit firmer than I’m used to and it would have been nice to have a slightly larger table to sit at while eating, but these things were not enough to ruin our vacation and we still enjoyed the room immensely.

Super cute! Well maintained. Beautiful for aesthetic pictures. I love the “check in” with the personal envelope. And LOVED the 12pm check out.

In my room specifically (401) the shower is pretty exposed with clear glass. Like fully visible from the bed/room and the toilet is on the other side of the shower. There is a blurring liner on the shower wall right next to the toilet but still pretty visible from the bed and the doors to the “bathroom” don’t really close they’re sliding doors. Which is beautiful but I’m just glad I went with my partner of almost two years. Because had it been a friend or someone i recently started dating, it would have been reeeeeal awkward. So I would probably mention that in the listing just incase.

The room was absolutely gorgeous and the shower was so dreamy. The staff and checkin process was very easy and I really like the keypads with the code specifically for us.

The only downside was that the park across from the hotel had a lot of sketchy homeless people.

My room was gorgeous. It did not have a dingy hotel look to it. The window in the cutest kitchenette ever had a view of the courtyard which was beautiful at night with the string lights. The bathroom was unlike any standard hotel room. It was quite spacious. The only thing I did not like was the AC. It didn't cool down until the early hours of the morning, but it was a very hot and humid day in southeast Georgia and we were on the 2nd floor. I would love to go again when it's cooler. It's within walking distance of River Street which is what I was looking for when booking.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Present. Such a fun and unique place with so many thoughtful touches. Check in was a breeze even though we were delayed traveling and checked in very late. We loved all the thoughtful details in our room such as recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The coffee bar on the second floor, complete wit espresso machine was much appreciated. We also enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and in the courtyard in the evenings. We found reasonable paid parking very close to the hotel, but be sure to read the street sweeping signs carefully. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was beyond our expectations. We wanted to stay downtown, and we didn't know what to expect at this reasonable price point. But this place was clean and big, with a kitchen, and large bathroom, great big shower with a rain shower head, and a big closet. We could've stayed for days here comfortably and we were sorry we only had one night. It was tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, and everything was really well done and nothing was shabby. They provided a coffee maker and tea in the room with a variety of selections.

It was all good, but be advised, that there is no staff here, so you have to be comfortable with using lockboxes to get into the property and into your room. It's very easy, but there needs to be a certain level of comfort with this kind of place. There were one set of stairs to the room also, which was fine with us, but some folks might prefer an elevator.

Quiet, cute location. the mailbox outside each room is a really nice touch.

Close to lots of things but a little too dark walking back at night, however, that is not the Present’s fault.

Nothing but good things to say about this hotel! Location was perfect. Quiet area but we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Plenty of parking and much more affordable than other hotels. The room was exactly as expected, adorable! I especially loved having the coffee bar in the hotel for my morning coffee. Only downside is there is no elevator and our room was on the fourth floor so if you don’t like stairs or have a lot of luggage I’d suggest asking for a first floor room if possible.
