The room was very spacious and the bathroom was large, clean and functional. The shower worked well; the shower doors kept the water in the shower, not allowing it onto the bathroom floor. The hotel has an outdoor patio, which I liked very much. The breakfast, although pricey, included a wide variety of foods. The staff was very nice and offered me all the supplies I asked for. The hotel is well-located, close the Bratislava Castle and Old Town.

Getting fresh air into the room was a problem. The window in the bedroom had a thin, white curtain that couldn't be moved to allow air to circulate. Finding the hotel office up the street was a problem, as I had never been to Bratislava and arrived at night. There is no prominent sign at the street directing guests to the office, which is located deep inside a parking garage. When I attempted to check out, the door to the parking garage had been lowered, making the office impossible to locate. It took me a long time to find it, and I had a large amount of heavy luggage with me. The experience was extremely stressful.

The room was clean, wide and confortable. Located in a easy street near the center. Good situation. You can go walking anywhere.

The window of the room (101) opens to an interior yard, where the cafeteria tables are(!) The TV set din't work.(1). The recepción were in another building. No air conditioner. Two single narrow beds, 80 cm., not much confortable. No lift. The breakfast,11€, expensive; better go to the caffetterie, very close to the hotel. (1) Or I don't know how a TV works, with a external, channel selecction decoder, without instructions.

In fact, the apart-hotel is located on one of the floors of a residential building, the reception is located in a small room near the entrance. Good location, pretty close to all major attractions. There is parking - the parking place is paid extra, but it was important for us as we arrived by car. Tasty breakfast with good choice of food - scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sausages, yoghurts, bacon, cheese, biscuits, fruits. Friendly staff. Very quiet room overlooking the courtyard, no city noise. Comfortable bed, good linens and towels. We booked a family suite for 3 people: two bedrooms and living room, fully equipped kitchen - induction cooker, dishes, utensils, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine. Good choice if you like to cook and dine at home and are going to stay in Bratislava for a few days or weeks.

For such a room - a meager selection of hygiene items in the bathroom. The batteries in the TV remote did not work. Breakfast is served at a nearby hotel, you have to walk across the street.

Lovely, bright, large, clean and comfortable room on the second floor off a little outside terrace with a table and chairs provided. This was tucked in at the rear of the hotel with a nice view over gardens. It was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was large and comfortable. There was plenty of storage for clothing and luggage. There was also a kettle with the makings for tea and coffee, which was very welcome and topped up each day. The bathroom was large, with a huge bath and handheld shower. We had breakfast, which was well provisioned in comfortable rooms on the ground floor. We were very happy in our double room for our two day stay. Everything was on hand. The old town was a short walk away and all the transport links were close by, regular, easy to use and cheap. We would visit Bratislava again and certainly stay here if we do.

No facility to shower hands free. Fanlight over the entrance door is plain glazed and there was no way to block the morning light. We travelled in early Spring, so no big deal, but could be a problem at other times of year. No lift and steep stairs. We were fine but could present a problem to others.

Low key, low interaction, no un-needed facilities. The reason I don't stay in hotels much these days, and prefer rental apartments, is that I don't want to pay for all those things I don't want e.g. gym, room service, minibar. Virgo has very nice rooms, small complex, few and unobtrusive staff. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

My room was over the front door which was rather noisy when it opened and closed during the night. The door seemed heavier and clunkier than it should be. It wasn't a big issue, but the only thing I thought could be improved.

Nice and clean . Shower with good water pressure. Great location. We needed to check out early and they had a keybox to drop off keys if you are leaving before 7am. Comfortable mattress. Mini fridge provided ( no plates or cutlery besides coffee mugs and teaspoons) Kettle in the room. Extra heater provided (but not needed as central heating was efficient even when it was -2 outside). Outside seating area / terrace just out of our room which must be lovely in the summer. Very nice receptionist.

No flexibility around checkin or an early check in. Our “double bed” was two twin beds pushed together, which would be fine if they were not constantly sliding away from each other on a hardwood floor. So if you are cuddly sleepers forget that. I would suggest maybe connecting the legs with something so it becomes a double bed. Very old and slow tv so we didn’t use it. Would be nice to watch Netflix before bed, but not a real issue. In our room we could only get 1-2bars on wifi so it was quite slow and we used our data instead.

Superb location, great room and amazing bathroom with huge bath. Was lovely and warm (it was snowing!). We were treated to a present for my birthday which was a lovely surprise! Breakfast was good with wide variety, nice coffee machine. We did ask for the room to be made up twice, and it wasn't either time but other than that a great stay!

The room was big, the bed was comfortable. there was enough space for luggage. they had a kettle to make coffee/tea inside the room which was very convenient. location is excellent, walking distance to the city center but in a calm street. the room and the hotel area were clean and silent. We didn't have breakfast included, so I cannot comment about that.

Just a few points; first about the shower which is not a shower, but a bathtub with a small shower we must hold while we wash ourselves. very common in this region of Europe but not practical for foreigners, in my opinion. Second, there should be a bigger sign with the hotel name in front of the building. we had some difficulty to find it.

I am writing this review with special thanks to Vladimir. I got back to my hotel room just after midnight and immediately saw a massive spider on the ceiling. I have massive fears of spiders so did not know what to do and ended up staring at it for an hour. I did not want to call reception because it would just look a bit ridiculous on me. However, knowing I would not be able to sleep the entire night, I called reception, Vladimir answered and showed a great amount of empathy towards my fear of spiders. A few moments later, I was greeted by him who has impeccable manners and he sorted out the spider situation within a couple of minutes. Thank you to Vladimir, I had a great night of sleep afterwards. The room it self was also clean and spacious. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk to the old town centre. Would recommend anyone with a whistle stop in Bratislava.

The room was lovely with a large space and functional kitchen. The bathroom was a good size but with more or a handheld shower above the bath but worked well. The breakfast was great, lots of choice from hot and cold options so covered all appetites. All staff were lovely and friendly and very informative about how to get around and recommending places to eat.
