Amazing sea views from this lovely guest house. Couldn’t call it a hotel as no food after lunch except at weekends when a chef cooked. Dinner for those who booked. Staff were really helpful, everything super clean and comfy beds. We had a suite on the 1st floor which was delightful.

Not enough sun umbrellas and some of the sunbeds, although very comfortable, were broken. Staff were really lovely but at times they lacked the direction of management who were not always visible.

Our room was more like an apartment than a room. Very big and spacious, with a lounge overlooking the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable and great quality linen. The balcony is lovely to kick bqck with a book and glass of wine and enjoy the incredible views. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They have the best muesli I have ever tasted as part of the breakfast spread!

Our bedroom was right below the kitchen area so unfortunately you could hear preparations upstairs from quite early on. Would have preferred the bedroom to be in the front area overlooking the ocean as you wake up and the lounge at the back!

Just the BIG wow factor as you walk through the lobby and another one when you go to your room!! Super amazing in every way, views, location, food, service, super clean and lovely hosts. Big rooms we extended our stay a few days and only had to leave when there was not availability on the last day we wanted to extend to. We tried 2 different room types, both amazing. Was offered the suite on the last day but couldn't take that. Maybe next time! Look forward to return, lovely host always greeting people, makes it very personal, thank you.

Not anything really!! ....maybe need some gentle music in the background. Staff always put some on when asked them at breakfast and dinner. The upgrading that is due to be completed by August would take care of that I'm sure. Otherwise don't know how much it could possibly improve! Super nice place.

It was very clean, the room is very big and the balcony has an amazing view. Staff were super friendly. We needed to change our check out date twice, and we were welcomed to do so. We also used cash and credit to pay and they were very flexible . The location is very suitable. I highly recommend the place

There was a bit of a mold smell in the bathroom.

I loved the staff so much, the service was one of the best I’ve ever received at a hotel. Every time we came in we were offered cups of tea or coffee with cake, refreshment drinks etc and at breakfast they were very attentive and offered little complimentary snacks too (alongside the standard breakfast you could order). It’s the most beautiful view and the hotel is very well cared for. I was truly gutted when we couldn’t stay any longer than one night as it was full. I am going to try and stay again in January when I’m back in Cape Town.

Absolutely phenomenal stay here! I'd be bold enough to say it has been our best hotel experience ever. Aside from our room being beautiful and massive, evening turn down and little details made it next level. The location is incredible, the view is incredible, the breakfast is incredible and the staff are wonderful, attentive & friendly. The Breakfast menu is extensive & the fruit plates & smoothies were always a good start to the day. The Hotel is close to the promenade which makes it a nice walk along the promenade to seafront restaurants, a short drive to the waterfront & close enough to Lions head for a hike from the hotel. The team here really made our stay more than just a few nights in a hotel! While you're by the pool be sure to try a Clarendon sling or an "oh my"! This hotel is worth every penny, definitely our new favourite when Visiting Cape Town!

Absolutely Nothing.

Staff friendly, room is good size, bed very comfortable, tastefully decorated, very tasty breakfast with all the offerings & variety, the afternoon tea & cake surprise on our return from walk on the promenade, which is easily accessible by foot, that all before we even get to talk about the awesome view!

Everything was excellent…. The stuff was extremely wonderful and the location is beautiful… I would definitely visit Clarendon again.

The property had no water due to the area that had a burst pipe. They managed to move us to one of their other hotels so that we can have running water. Very friendly staff

Sad that we had to leave the beautiful view behind but very grateful for the running water :-)
