Only had 1 night here before leaving SA just wish it could have been longer. Stunning views from the terrace with a fabulous infinity pool. We were kindly upgraded to a junior suite which was incredible and very well designed and thought out. On this trip my main issue with rooms has been lighting in bathrooms! No worries at all here. Excellent lighting and mirrors to get ready for that night out! Johan, Felix and all staff so welcoming at this perfectly located hotel. Very peaceful and relaxing stay with a delicious breakfast before our journey home. Would definitely recommend and we’re already planning our return trip.

Absolutely nothing. Loved the whole experience from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. Firstly, the staff are exceptional. Attentive, professional and lovely to be around. Gerhard and Johan are fantastic and made our stay one we will never forget. We were sad to say goodbye to them! Everything from the stunning view and super comfortable sun loungers, to the clean and relaxing rooms with lovely extras and amenities, to the delicious honesty bar and gorgeous breakfast… I could go on and on about how lovely each detail was.

Exceptional staff, beautiful views, tasty breakfast, gorgeous pool & sun deck. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was great size, with a lovely waterfall shower.

We stayed in the standard double, and found the decor and furnishings a little bit too minimalistic. I wish the interior of the room was a little bit more special / luxurious - but perhaps my expectations were just a bit too high as we were on our honeymoon so I hoped for the room to have more of a cozy / romantic vibe.

The buffet breakfast was very good, with the option of choosing a cooked breakfast from the menu. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and made our stay very relaxing and a pleasure. The view from the hotel is superb, you simply cannot ask for better.

The absence of being able to dine at the hotel in the evening was a minor inconvenience, but it did force us to go out in the evenings, which was also a pleasure.

Absolutely loved my stay here, first time in a guest house as opposed to a hotel. I prefer it now as it’s more intimate and personal. The service is really good- Petra, Johan and Jake always made sure I was well taken care of! My favourite part I would have to say was the warm inviting kitchen, the variety of the quality spreads throughout the day, whether it was breakfast with every single jam you can think of, tea bar or delicious canapés in the early evening.. The bedroom was very comfortable, and the Asian contemporary art around the whole property was beautiful. Not to forget the breathtaking view of the ocean from all the bedrooms on the floor by the pool! Last but not least, part of the family there is lovely Steffi, the senior rescue dog that the hotel has taken in. She comes to slowly greet all guests, and sometimes will sunbathe next to you during the day.

Maybe not the property’s fault but when Cape Town is going through city-wide outages, the kitchen cannot provide hot food as there is no back up generator. This didn’t affect my experience but it might for others. (There was one slightly hangry guest when an outage took place during breakfast time). There is no spa, however I did hear there is a plan for a spa next year.

Attentiveness, personal touch, the whole team make you feel like you're an old friend. They turned a minor logistical nightmare (we missed our flight to kruger) into a net boon, by going the extra mile to make sure we can extend our stay (they even upgraded us to a suite!) The views and the location are fantastic. We'll definitely be back (and bring our friends!). A really awesome place.

Truly the best of Boutique Hotels - Feels like your own private Mansion on the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Attentive & Knowledgeable but not overbearing staff - Truly made us feel special. Loadshedding was barely noticeable and prefer the inverters over the noisy generators at other Hotels - yes you give up the TV & Aircon during the black outs but no one should visit this Hotel to watch TV.

Compass House Boutique hotel is a truly gem with a spectacular view over the ocean. The infinity pool is grandiose . I really enjoyu the wide choice they are supplying for breakfast, freshly squeeze orange juice, fresh fruits, the best scramble eggs ever. The speed of the wifi was amazing. If you need to book somewhere in Cape Town, your should book at this boutique hotel, you wont be disapointed.

The owner had his 50th birthday party during our stay. He has made it a great place and thoroughly deserved to throw his party. We would have perhaps appreciated being warned about this when we booked or on arrival. But a very minor quibble

Incredible Service, Great Wi-Fi, The inverters they have covers the main things needed during the daily black outs South Africa is experiencing. They also advise you of daily outages ahead of time so you can plan the day better! Safe and secure boutique Hotel and the age limit for guests keeps the environment tranquil and peaceful! NO BETTER VIEW !
