Could not fault. The staff were exceptional and did everything to make our stay special. The rooms were immaculate, beds incredibly comfortable and view was sensational. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we were waited on so attentively. The position was great for Cape Town, camps bay and beyond. Quiet whilst feeling totally safe. Free space to park the car. Overall totally fantastic and probably the best hotel experience we’ve ever had! Made our honeymoon so memorable.

Compass House is a beautiful hotel with spacious, cool bedrooms and in a convenient location with a stunning view of the ocean. Breakfast is superb and a sandwich lunch can be ordered in. But it is the staff who make a stay here so relaxing and enjoyable. They just go the extra mile to ensure every guest is looked after. They are remarkable.

Sadly I was too nervous to access the wonderful pool (without a shallow end ) because of ankle injury - but my husband loved it!

Stayed in the pool suite which has amazing views. Balcony area was fantastic with room for a table and chairs and 2 sun beds. It’s very private so you have options of mixing with others or not. The bedroom had stacks of storage space ie wardrobes etc and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel has been furnished with top quality furniture and really feels 5*. All staff extremely helpful,kind and friendly. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so perfect.

Only had 1 night here before leaving SA just wish it could have been longer. Stunning views from the terrace with a fabulous infinity pool. We were kindly upgraded to a junior suite which was incredible and very well designed and thought out. On this trip my main issue with rooms has been lighting in bathrooms! No worries at all here. Excellent lighting and mirrors to get ready for that night out! Johan, Felix and all staff so welcoming at this perfectly located hotel. Very peaceful and relaxing stay with a delicious breakfast before our journey home. Would definitely recommend and we’re already planning our return trip.

Absolutely nothing. Loved the whole experience from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. Firstly, the staff are exceptional. Attentive, professional and lovely to be around. Gerhard and Johan are fantastic and made our stay one we will never forget. We were sad to say goodbye to them! Everything from the stunning view and super comfortable sun loungers, to the clean and relaxing rooms with lovely extras and amenities, to the delicious honesty bar and gorgeous breakfast… I could go on and on about how lovely each detail was.

What a fantastic find! The hotel is very tastefully appointed and your every wish is catered for by the exceptional staff. Johan and Gerhard are outstanding front of house leads. Rooms are beautiful. Pool and cabana beds are very clean and the honesty bar all adds to the home away from home vibe. Breakfasts are really good too.

Compass House Hotel is exceptional. The staff, and especially the brilliant manager Johann, were fantastic and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The bedroom was immaculate and comfortable, the pool and sunbeds surrounding it were gorgeous, the breakfast was delicious and location and views superb. We adored this hotel and would love to go back

What an amazing property and staff! We've travelled a lot, but this stay was by far the best boutique hotel we ever stayed in. The staff paid attention to every details and made sure we were comfortable! The carrot cake is a killer, you must try it during snack hour and some tea to enjoy in front of the pool and see view.

We loved everything about this hotel!

Exceptional staff, beautiful views, tasty breakfast, gorgeous pool & sun deck. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was great size, with a lovely waterfall shower.

We stayed in the standard double, and found the decor and furnishings a little bit too minimalistic. I wish the interior of the room was a little bit more special / luxurious - but perhaps my expectations were just a bit too high as we were on our honeymoon so I hoped for the room to have more of a cozy / romantic vibe.

The buffet breakfast was very good, with the option of choosing a cooked breakfast from the menu. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and made our stay very relaxing and a pleasure. The view from the hotel is superb, you simply cannot ask for better.

The absence of being able to dine at the hotel in the evening was a minor inconvenience, but it did force us to go out in the evenings, which was also a pleasure.
