reception area and various ground floor seating area, great view from sea facing apartment, wonderful breakfast layout with 2 x coffee machines and a self service pancake station, good wifi speed and stable connection, size of the apartment, coffee machine and pods provided in the apartment, passages has a lovely looking carpet and various photos on the walls, lifts are very fast and silent, excellent ducted aircon with individual controls in each area of the apartment, good communication from Joy Carroll in reservations, pleasant staff all round, good meals at the Islands restaurant and fairly priced, my steak was perfectly done to medium.

towel rack on the wall came loose, kitchen sink blocked up but was rectified by maintenance staff very quickly. There's really no significant negatives, i mention these for completeness.

-Halal food available on site even during breakfast buffet with a separate cooking area for halal. -Location is very accessible if you have a car, and even the tourist red bus stops right outside a street of the hotel if exploring. - Good modern style of the hotel - Daily room service available and also apartment style of rooms means you can get extra use of the room. - Didn't experience load shedding issues as well which can be felt in other places.

- Heated pool would be useful as too cold to use during the winter.

Noise which is so often overlooked in top rated hotels and is probably the biggest gripe for guests! Hallways are insufficiently sound proofed. Other room doors slamming was a regular occurrence at all hours, you can v clearly hear people talking outside the room, the hallways are almost echo like which exascerbates any noise. Better insulation on walls and soft close doors would be an easy solution. Also why do the cleaners/maintenance staff have to start so early…?

The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I love the location as i previously lived in Sea Point, but I do think it is very pricy…

The price… it cost me 75000 for two weeks and although the accommodation was very comfortable, I think the price for the rooms is steep, as they are a little outdated, saying that I am a south African and not a visitor from abroad just living abroad with Rands ,) For visitors from abroad with a much stronger currency, I imagine it to be fantastic. and I suppose you are attracting them first/mainly.

We had a wonderful stay at the President everything in the hotel was stylish, clean and well presented. A very good location with the hop on hop off bus stop right outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice to have something different every day! We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel a couple of times the food was all very good and great value.

The service varied as one evening it was very efficient and attentive and the next night they appeared very understaffed and unavailable. The bed was comfortable but too small

Upon arrival we checked into the hotel. The Reception Team are very friendly and helpful . We were very lucky to be Upgraded and have two rooms close together. The Breakfast Buffet was very good. A lovely variety of food is on offer. A cold and hot buffet is on offer . The staff were very happy to assist whith any special request.

As soon as you arrive for breakfast you need to place an order for a smoked salmon muffin and egg Benedict The wait was over 45 min before you are served

We’ve enjoyed every minute at this hotel. Although, it’s quite big, the atmosphere is very personal and ALL the staff were extremely friendly. We got the impression, that the management looks well after their employees, as everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying working there. The room was fantastic, the breakfast is out of this world, the bar was serving drinks until late and it’s spotlessly clean everywhere. Parking was never a problem and a lot of shops and restaurants are within walking distance! For us, the best place to stay in Cape Town, very good value for money.

The hotel is great and everything is very good. Our room was very quiet and we had an amazing sleep. Also, we used the room service and it was very efficient. Overall, I think the main added value of the hotel is the staff. They are very kind, professional and helpful. Last but not least, the area around the hotel is very safe. So it is highly recommended if you want to walk around without any major issues.

Pheraps brekfast can be improved. Not in terms of quantity but quality. More and better fruits would be great as in South Africa there are great seasonal fruits.

The secret to superb international travel is to go during the shoulder seasons for best value and exceptional upgrades. Booked a classic room but received a free upgrade to a sea view suite with balcony which cost at least $200 more than my original room. The location of the President hotel is outstanding , the staff abundant and attentive , with a very good buffet breakfast. Excellent, safe parking for R60 a day. If one doesn’t wish to eat at the hotel, just across the street , next to Spar supermarket is the absolute best deli with sublime food called Kleinskys . I will return to this iconic treasure in Cape Town!

Perfect stay!

We had the most amazing room, overlooking the pool and ocean, thanks to JOY from the reservations team. She always make your stay comfortable and amazing. The location is convenient to all the main attractions in cape town. It is definitely recommended. The breakfast caters for for a strictly Halaal egg station which I really appreciated. Overall the breakfast is good. Will definitely visit over and over

The temperature of the water when having a shower would be great if it was hotter. In the colder months everyone like to have showers that are hot. Improvement there will make the place even better. Slippers in the room without requesting will be nice. Improvement on time taken from housekeeping to deliver your request will also make it better.
