Very well located in Seapoint, safe area, 400 meters from the beach promenade, 1 hour walk from Water Front considered as thr most touristy area in Cape Town. Very friendly staff, full breakfast. The hotel is an ancient villa very well maintained. Spacious luxury room, huge comfortable bed, TV, wifi. We defintely recommend the Villa Rosa Hotel.

The carpet in the bathroom is dirt, not hygienic. To be dropped ASAP.

Room was nice enough but small. Key was hard to work, very fiddley. Linens and towels were great; bathroom seemed nice. Got in late and left early, so I didn't get to try the breakfast, though I've heard it's good. Location was fairly central.

Key was weird and hard to work. Load shedding was happening when I showed up and there was no generator or light, so it's hard to get sorted in a new room in the dark. (One battery powered lamp.) Steve, the security guy, was ok but not particularly friendly. Never met any other staff.

I love staying at the Villa Rosa when I am in Cape Town. Besides for the value for money, the breakfast is great, the beds are immensely comfortable with no luxury compromised, bathrooms are clean and modern, position is wonderful, and Chelsey and all the staff are warm, welcoming and go above and beyond to make every stay excellent. Will keep staying at the Villa Rosa every time I return to Cape Town. Thank you!!

Both Greg and Steve were superb hosts. Their staff are a credit and very professional in what they do. From the moment I stepped through the door I was made so welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable and bathroom facilities more than adequate. The breakfast was excellent with lots of organic and home made produce and the cooked breakfast meals were delicious. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. Its location is two blocks from the Promenade/Beach Road and the area is safe to walk around as I was a single female traveller. They also have a shower/ changing room available if you have a flight leaving later in the day. If you want a home away from home whilst on holiday this is place to stay.

Nothing to dislike

This is a fantastic place to stay and the managers Steven and Chelsea make you feel so welcome with a professional yet friendly approach. The Guesthouse is maintained to the highest standard and has been tastefully decorated throughout. Breakfast has numerous choice of cereals, fresh fruit and hot cinnamon oatmeal which is fantastic and there is also a choice of cooked breakfast which changes daily is cooked to the highest standard and sets you up for the day. A big shout out must go to David the chef as well as the housekeepers who keep the rooms so clean and well maintained. The location of the Guesthouse in Sea Point is fantastic close to restaurants and bars and with easy access to public transport. There are parking spaces (3) available at the Guesthouse but it is first come first served. However, street parking is also available. The Guesthouse is great value for money and is ideal for a solo traveller. Steven and Chelsea provide excellent advice and guidance on the local tourist attractions ensuring your stay is a memorable and safe one. Go and visit you won't be disappointed.

Nothing the place is perfect. Any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally. Cape Town does suffer from load shedding (electricity outages)but the Guesthouse provides good quality torches for your room so no worries.

This lovely historic building has been converted into a very comfortable and attractive B&B,retaining interesting features and adding more modern touches where necessary. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable, with nice linen. The staff were very friendly and helpful, from Chelsea meeting and greeting,to the late night security guard escorting us inside.Breakfast is served in a very attractive frontroom - a nice selection of cereals, fresh fruit etc plus a choice of hot meals.A nice touch was serving my tea in a silver teapot! We enjoyed our stay, short as it was.

Be prepared to park on the road,in the cul-de-sac (there is security) Wall heater in the bedroom didn't work

Beautiful, stylish guest house located within easy walking distance of the shops of Sea Point - do not miss having a meal or drink in the vibrant, happening Mojo Market which is less than 10 mins walk away! Villa Rosa is really well managed, exceptionally clean and has the wow factor when you walk in! The rooms are spacious and the beds are huge and so very comfortable after a long day sightseeing in and around Cape Town. A special mention goes to Chelsea who was really helpful with tourist info and also booked us into a couple of fabulous restaurants. Would I return to Villa Rosa... yes, I certainly would!

One of the best places I have ever stayed in Cape Town! Perfect location close to Sea Point promenade, safe, secure and quiet. The room was so beautiful and spacious. Chelsea and Steven were so wonderful and so accommodating . Great and quick communication. They were very helpful with any request or requirements I had. Great variety and options for breakfast to choose from. I can not praise enough this stunning bed and breakfast place and people who work there. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back. Thank you again for making my stay so enjoyable. Perfection! Gosia

Unusually pretty style of room, breakfast room and the whole interior Very tasty breakfast Everybody extraordenary friendly Quiet location just off the hip center of Sea Point

The room (D) gets very hot during the day. I forgot my optical glasses. They were found only 10 min after we left. A call or an e-mail would have saved me from an extra 500km to drive back and fetch them.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice as well. I like the decor and breakfast too.

There could be a small curtain to perhaps block the bathroom window from the street. Also, the keys went with the Victorian theme so it was sometimes hard to maneuver them into the key hole. Neither of these two things ruined my stay there however. I just hung a sweater in front of the window and I learned to use the key properly.
