Location was very good with lots of restaurants nearby and a short walk to the promenade and a red sightseeing bus stop. Neil was very helpful throughout our stay! He recommended some local restaurants, sorted out breakfast for us the night before on the days we had to be up early and let us check out an hour later as we had an issue with our suitcase zip which had broken that needed fixing. Spacious clean rooms, big comfortable bed, rooms had usb charging ports which was useful as didnt need an adaptor, great breakfast. Overall a lovely stay

We upgraded to the suite when we checked in. This was a bargain at only R300 more than the Standard Room. The Suite was exquisitely furnished and comfortable and had a lovely balcony with a Daybed where we could relax with our magazines and drinks. Neil is a very charming and helpful host, and even packed some goodies in the fridge in our room for breakfast when we advised that we were taking an early flight the next morning. Breakfast was delicious, with a large assortment of hot and cold food to choose from. Smudge who is the resident Feline only added to the charm and quaintness of this lovely place. Will definitely visit again.

The flight of stairs up to the Suite was a bit of a challenge with our Suitcases, but it was well worth it when we got to the top and saw the beautiful view of Table Mountain. Neil also very kindly assisted us.

This is such a fab little spot - a street or two away from the main hustle which means it’s tucked away from any noise or traffic. Walking distance to heaps of fab coffee shops (Ollie’s does an amazing coffee!) and easy enough to stroll into town if you’re fancy some scenery and steps in. The room we had was the double and it was upstairs adjacent to the welcome area/breakfast room, I was worried we would be disturbed when people were up early having brekky but we didn’t hear a peep. The bed was comfy, room was clean and all the amenities you need. Neil and his staff at Villa Costa are so lovely, he makes a bloody good scrambled egg and beautiful breakfast options to eat on the Patio by the pool in the morning. Neil was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions I had which made being in a new city all the easier. Really couldn’t ask for more from your accommodation, ticks all the boxes for a wonderful stay in Cape Town.

I stayed for a weekend at Villa Costa Rosa Guesthouse and I cannot recommend it enough. The room and breakfast were first class. The location, in a quiet road just a short walk from a good selections of restaurants and coffee shops in trendy Sea Point, was safe and secure. Sea Point is a good neighbourhood, centrally located in Cape Town, the promenade was a five minute stroll with the V&A Waterfront and all other attractions easily accessible. For me, what made Costa Rosa Guesthouse so special was the host Neil, he took care to make you feel at home and, for any first time visitors to Cape Tow, he had some great ideas of where to go and where to eat as well as explaining the dos and don’ts to make your stay in this beautiful city hassle free.

Excellent place. We were in the suite. Very nice and large room. Very well situated (Sea Point). Very quiet street close to restaurants and shops. Very nice staff and contact with Neil before arrival appreciated (how to arrive from airport, how to enter the building and room upon arrival if after working hours), as well as after arrival his kind recommendations of places to go/visit. Parking spaces available in front of the residence or in the street. If we go back to Cape Town this is a residence we want to return to! Thanks a lot Neil !

Neil created a place where you truly feel home. Dircetly upon arriving he gave tips where to go and get the best food and what to see. The rooms were cozy and cleaned every single day, the garden is beautiful and a great place to relax. For breakfast I was asked every morning if I wanted to have eggs (English Breakfast Style with potaoes etc.) or pancakes and they were freshly prepared. Other choises like fresh fruit and a selection of cheese / ham was available as well. I really enjoyed my stay and would always come back!

Fantastic experience, right from the beginning, with effective and detailed communication from Neil prior to and during check-in. The garden room was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable and the garden itself, just beautiful. The pool was clean and the pool area was well-maintained with enough space for all guests (plus the cat) to enjoy it, especially with the beautiful aroma of jasmine all around. Breakfast selection was extensive and delicious, with both hot and cold options. There were enough tables for all guests to eat inside or outside. Neil had heaps of suggestions for activities and dining. One standout was La Bohême, just round the corner. Fantastic cocktails and extensive tapas menu (get the bâo buns). Security was top notch, we key fob entry to the property, individual room key and a key code safe in our wardrobe.

These hoteliers have really thought of everything!! Before our stay we received a message stating they could upgrade our rooms and keep our party together …. Very thoughtful!!! We were now both rooms together on the top floor. Upon arrival the early check in at 12 noon is sooooooo helpful to allow us to drop all our belongings off and shower facilities in our room. The rooms are lovely and comfy, ensuite bathrooms and balconies, really tastefully decorated. Coffee and tea facilities and a fridge. The showers and bathrooms are really clean and super powerful. The air conditioning also worked well in the rooms. There is lots of beautiful art work all over the walls and was done by none other than one of the hotel owners. The boys also talked us through a map pointing out some great food locations, which we went to and were very thankful for, amazing food venues right on the doorstep. The wifi was brilliant also Breakfast was also amazing, there was nothing you could want for. Full English, toast, many fruits, sauces and then pancakes !!! Probably the best breakfast we have had. We unfortunately didn’t get to use the pool or use the facilities, which was a real shame. We felt safe as 4 women throughout. To top off an amazing stay the boys have gone one further and have made a great luggage store room, with plenty of space, a shower and toilet. We had our own key, which allowed us to go shopping and drop things off and then come back, freshen up and head to the airport. Thanks for an amazing stay, and thanks for thinking of everything t make our stay just perfect :)

Villa Costa Rose was everything we needed and more. Perfect location very close to nice restaurants and shops, the place itself beautiful, nice garden and pool area as a chill oasis, when the weather is not as nice still a beautiful place to have your breakfast at. The room was absolutely perfect, big and spacious, bed super comfortable. Last time I slept so well as a baby. Very useful nice balcony, very big comfortable bathtub. You could tell how they thought about every detail. Neil was extremely helpful and gave us great tips about Cape Town, restaurants and activities to do around there, which just made our stay even easier and nicer, I will recommend this place to everyone:)

Wonderfully warm welcome from Neil; as always. Last night of 47 was back in tip top comfort. The fresh flowers in our room were EXQUISITE! Thank you so much! Neil let us leave our cases locked downstairs rather than dragging them upstairs, unnecessarily. NO LOAD SHEDDING. WHAT A RELIEF! No need for adapters here, all new electrics! Wonderful linens. Divine bed. Plenty of hot water. The wonderful freshly cooked to order breakfast that my hubby was so looking forward to didn't fail to please him. We have been coming since 2011. It feels like coming back to old friends. Hoping to be back again. Thank you!!
