We booked via booking.com only to find out that the prices has changed when we checked in and they were excluding breakfast and that is when we knew we should check out

Unfortunately we only had breakfast at the hotel once because of our limited time in CPT. Compared to the Protea in Joburg , CPT did not offer the variety on the buffer that Joburg offered. It was still good but Joburg was better. Joburg also had face clothes, CPThad no face clothes.

Beautiful location but my husband and I wanted an ocean view which this property is not on the main drive of the ocean but we were given a room with a semi view of the ocean. The hotel manger on duty,Gideon went above and beyond our expectations along with all hotel staffing.

Staff always willing to help. Gideon and team always friendly ready to help. Gideon was the main star! Pool deck service 4th floor No staff

Location was very good as was the breakfast. The room that we used was very suitable once changed.

When first shown the room allocated by the booking it was completly unsuitable for a 13night stay. There was no facilities for working with a laptop. The electricity outlets were few and limited only to SA standards and the "mountain view" was mostly blocked by high rise buildings in the way. We paid a small suppliment and got a much better room with international electricity outlets and a large desk to work at. The sundeck and bathing facilities were not available due to upgrades until the last two days and work was still being carried out on the steps up to the main entrance. Advised by staff to book directly with Protea in future.

Check-in starts from 14:00, due to our flight arriving early we arrived at the hotel around 11:00 and found our rooms already prepared for us so we checked-in early, giving us enough time to explore the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a few meters away from the sea which is beneficial if you like running or walking. The property is exactly as in pictures, very clean, and has a gym facility.

The only thing I'm not happy about is the rooms does not have small bar fridge.

The hotel Manager was very understanding, accommodating and helpful. The Staff at the front desk, parking attendant, servers and staff at the bar were all very polite and always greeted with a smile. The breakfast was amazing with fresh made latte to taste. Location is good, felt safe walking in the area, very close to the beach. Had a rental vehicle parked in the secured underground parking. Stayed for almost a week, enjoyed the stay as the hotel was clean and met the expectation

Nothing negative to say, had a good positive experience.

All the staff were fantastic! So friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Nothing was ever too much hassle for them. There was ample secure parking, a restaurant right next door and lots more places to eat nearby and also breakfast in the hotel itself as well as a nifty bar with a super barman! Loadshedding was not an issue as the hotel had their own generator. The location was great, lots of shops, coffee shops and restaurants nearby too. Great value for money.

The rest of the guests could have been more considerate and not slammed doors and had loud conversations on phones in the hall. This is no reflection on the hotel though.

Room was upgraded from standard to executive, location is easyly reachable and transportation can access it, we had breakfast once because of my little one, she love her beauty sleep, doesn't want to wake up early,

Nothing really but it would be Appreaciated if you can ADD another 1hour to the time for breakfast (just extend the breakfast time)

Great location, one block from Beach Road, Seapoint. Personalized service from the doorman, reception, bartender, housekeeping and the breakfast hostess, Maureen, who from day one remembered my room number and what I liked for breakfast. All staff were friendly and very attentive. Very close to hop-on hop-off bus stop.

Single (queen) room was a bit small, but very comfortable and met all my needs.

The location was convenient to the Seapoint promenade, shopping, and restaurants. The Hop On Hop Off Bus stops a block away. I had a partial Oceanview room with a small balcony. The room was clean and I appreciated the small refrigerator and pot to make coffee/tea.

The toilet kept running and didn't always flush properly. There was one chair in the room but no furniture on the balcony. I moved the chair onto the balcony temporarily, but there was barely enough room to sit outside. I could hear other customers so there was insufficient soundproofing.
