Luc & his team were very welcoming. We arrived to Cape Town airport about 8pm & the transfer Luc organised was right there waiting to take us to the hotel. The hotel staff were always very friendly & very helpful. The included breakfast was amazing - great coffee, enough to feed an army, and it was all delicious. Oh my goodness, the french toast with pear & walnuts!! The hotel location was great - the promenade is just at the end of the block & it's a beautiful walk at any hour. There are loads of great restaurants in the area at all ends of the budget spectrum, but the hotel's restaurant is also fantastic & VERY reasonable for the excellent quality of the food. The city is only $7-$8 AUD in an uber & we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for one, no matter how early or late we booked. The room itself was very comfortable & had everything you could possibly need. Hair dryer, fridge, heated towel rail, little courtyard veranda area to sit & relax. There honestly wasn't anything I would change. We won't hesitate to book at Hotel on the Promenade again if we find ourselves in Cape Town again.

It was awesome, so relaxing, truly a *home from home* experience! Luc went out of his way to accommodate my daughter, who made a surprise trip from London. Absolutely enjoyed our stay - it was both memorable and delightful! Comfy beds, great crisp white sheets and fluffy towels! The Somfy remote shutter was fantastic Loved the lounger on the patio. Cutie pie Bistro serving great food.!staff are excellent ,we will be back!

Would have been nice if there were a little stool/ottoman to sit on in the bathroom/ dressing when drying your hair! We hired a vehicle so was not perturbed about parking in the street - will be a bit of an issue should we drive down to Cape Town to find a suitable parking for a Toyota Landcruiser!

All the staff were extremely welcoming and efficient. It makes such a difference to receive such friendly service. Thanks to all. Luc was very helpful too, especially with prompt communications and arranging a transfer for us from the airport. The food was superb. A amazing choice for breakfast (HUGE helpings though ... I had to leave some!) and a fabulous menu for dinner. (The curry was delicious.) Our onward travels were delayed, but because the seafront is only a 2 minute easy walk down the street, we were able to take a relaxed, de-stressing stroll (and an ice-cream!) along the promenade after we had checked out, while Luc looked after our luggage. I liked our balcony. The hotel doesn't have a guest lounge, but the room was spacious and a balcony was all we needed! It didn't have a view, but it was leafy and not overlooked. I rate this wee hotel highly. Even though our stay was very short, I'm so glad we stayed here, rather than a big, impersonal city-centre place. (And Ubers are plentiful!) I would return.

We loved everything about this fantastic boutique hotel. Professional, friendly, efficient owners and staff made us feel very much at home from the time we arrived in this beautiful accomodation. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent...so good we dined here every night of our stay. Tech service in the room is excellent. A PC and a state of the art television service...Netflix etc...also, even a thoughtful european socket. A fabulous location for exploring Sea Point...everything is just a walk away...from the promenade to the shops and restaurants. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel and its lovely staff.

The Hotel on the Promenade is a beautiful boutique hotel just a few steps from the promenade. The location is excellent. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned very day. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and by far the best we had in our 4 weeks travelling South Africa. Els and Luc were wonderful hosts and looked after us so well during our 9 night stay with them. The food in the restaurant is amazing and very reasonably priced so much so we ate there 6 nights out of our 9 night stay. This hotel is very homely, the staff are all really nice and provided great service. The hop on hop off bus stops just a few hundred meters away from the hotel. The sunsets in Seapoint are amazing and it is really safe to walk around both day and night. V&A Waterfront Camps Bay and the CBD can be easily reached by Uber which is very inexpensive within a few minutes. We would happily return to Seapoint and the Hotel on the Promenade again in the future. We would highly recommend this hotel to others. Thank you Luc, Els and all the team for making our stay so enjoyable.

This is a very nice, relaxing and comfortable hotel. It starts when you enter. On the terrace there are always guests, customers and staf present, which creates a very inviting atmosphere. Our room was spacious and everything you could think of was available in the room. Also convenient was that we had iron shutters that kept out all light and noise. Breakfast was until whenever we wanted, and partly buffet (fruit, home made muesli and yoghurt) and à la carte. Also the dinner and lunch options were very nice. As said the restaurant was all day long partially filled with hotel guests and people that just visited the restaurant. In combination with the location near the the sea and the friendliness of the staff this is really a very nice boutique hotel.

Nothing, everything was great

Nice small boutique hotel run by Luc and his amazing staff. All welcoming and made sure my friend and I enjoyed our stay. Felt like spending time with family. There is a restaurant on-site serving delicious meals throughout the day. Had breakfast and enjoyed two dinners. Highly recommend the lasagna and oxtail. I had a balcony room and it was very large and comfortable. Apple TV and computers are available for use in the room. Quality bedding, furniture and a beautiful bathroom. It's around the corner from the ocean and a great walk along the ocean front. It's also close to local shops, grocery, banks etc.

Everything is great.

I loved staying here, the rooms were VERY clean! The owners were really nice and helpful! The food was amazing! Everything was perfect, most importantly the staff who works here is amazing, our rooms were cleaned really well, our waiters were very welcoming and remembered our order. Every interaction made our stay more comfortable. It’s in a walkable area, with cute spots to visit. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. I highly recommend staying here, we will be back.

It was perfect. I loved everything.

Hotel on the Promenade is a privately owned and owner managed two storey old town house extensively renovated to become a Small Hotel.....and the contrast here between the 'personal' service received and that in 'group owned and managed' establishments was very clear. Everything about the upstairs room(reached by a lift) was just right and a great deal of thought went into its facilities....the bathroom had an excellent walk in shower, the room had doors opening on to a private verandah that offered seating and for anyone who feels the need for security there was a screen that lowered to prevent access to the doors.,the bed was comfortable ,the air cond excellent ,the tv channels offered included international sport and at time of power cuts the generator provided continuity of electrical supply. My visit extended to 18 nights during which the meals prepared to order by the excellent staff were consistently good.and served into either the open air or inside seating areas. Sea Point offers many restaurants and for variety I used five within a ten minute walk, all being very good. The Hotel is a two minute safe and flat walk to the lovely promenade and for visitors wishing to enjoy the frequent and safe 'Red Top bus tours' they 'pick up/drop off' at a stop within 100 metres...cash and card payments accepted. The Cape Town MyCiti public bus service 104 runs to/from the Waterfront via the promenade -plus- along the road reached by turning left out of the Hotel and a two minute walk, by 108/109 to the splendid white sand beaches at Camps Bay ten minutes away.......the public buses use a prepaid debit card Tap on /Tap off system and have to be pre-purchased .While I was there there was no trouble in the area of the Hotel and at no stage did I ever feel anything other than totally relaxed.

Not a problem to me but from the road there are 3/4 steps to gain access to the Hotel;wheelchair users may need to be aware.
