We loved everything about this fantastic boutique hotel. Professional, friendly, efficient owners and staff made us feel very much at home from the time we arrived in this beautiful accomodation. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent...so good we dined here every night of our stay. Tech service in the room is excellent. A PC and a state of the art television service...Netflix etc...also, even a thoughtful european socket. A fabulous location for exploring Sea Point...everything is just a walk away...from the promenade to the shops and restaurants. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel and its lovely staff.

This is a very nice, relaxing and comfortable hotel. It starts when you enter. On the terrace there are always guests, customers and staf present, which creates a very inviting atmosphere. Our room was spacious and everything you could think of was available in the room. Also convenient was that we had iron shutters that kept out all light and noise. Breakfast was until whenever we wanted, and partly buffet (fruit, home made muesli and yoghurt) and à la carte. Also the dinner and lunch options were very nice. As said the restaurant was all day long partially filled with hotel guests and people that just visited the restaurant. In combination with the location near the the sea and the friendliness of the staff this is really a very nice boutique hotel.

Nothing, everything was great

Hotel on the Promenade is a privately owned and owner managed two storey old town house extensively renovated to become a Small Hotel.....and the contrast here between the 'personal' service received and that in 'group owned and managed' establishments was very clear. Everything about the upstairs room(reached by a lift) was just right and a great deal of thought went into its facilities....the bathroom had an excellent walk in shower, the room had doors opening on to a private verandah that offered seating and for anyone who feels the need for security there was a screen that lowered to prevent access to the doors.,the bed was comfortable ,the air cond excellent ,the tv channels offered included international sport and at time of power cuts the generator provided continuity of electrical supply. My visit extended to 18 nights during which the meals prepared to order by the excellent staff were consistently good.and served into either the open air or inside seating areas. Sea Point offers many restaurants and for variety I used five within a ten minute walk, all being very good. The Hotel is a two minute safe and flat walk to the lovely promenade and for visitors wishing to enjoy the frequent and safe 'Red Top bus tours' they 'pick up/drop off' at a stop within 100 metres...cash and card payments accepted. The Cape Town MyCiti public bus service 104 runs to/from the Waterfront via the promenade -plus- along the road reached by turning left out of the Hotel and a two minute walk, by 108/109 to the splendid white sand beaches at Camps Bay ten minutes away.......the public buses use a prepaid debit card Tap on /Tap off system and have to be pre-purchased .While I was there there was no trouble in the area of the Hotel and at no stage did I ever feel anything other than totally relaxed.

Not a problem to me but from the road there are 3/4 steps to gain access to the Hotel;wheelchair users may need to be aware.

Fantastic chic boutique hotel in a great location. 2 mins to beach and 10 min taxi to waterfront. Luc and the team are just the best hosts - always there always helpful but like a discrete blend into the hotel itself too. Rooms are well appointed and beds super comfortable. Restaurant and bar area is lovely, bright and welcoming with a good selection at the bar. Food is excellent both dinner and the breakfasts. This place has real charm and warmth and outdoes the large chain / multi storey hotels by a distance. A home from home. I’d be surprised if you can get a better pound for pound stay anywhere in CT.

Nothing

We don't often provide feedback, but this place is a real gem. Tawanda the manager and all the staff were over the top friendly and went out of their way to meet all our wishes no matter how small. Room was awesome with lots of amenities and daily cleaning. They provided feather-free bedding at our request which was great. Restaurant was very good--we ate dinner there twice and the included breakfast was excellent although we only had time to eat breakfast there once. One block up from the promenade with an ocean view from the balcony of our room. Highly, highly recommend.

The only tiny negative was there is no dedicated parking although all 3 times we arrived we found spaces on the street within 50 yards of the hotel and it was free. So hard to complain!

Best service I have ever got at a hotel. The staff were incredible, turn down service like 3 times per day. Super clean, very quiet area so slept great. Location can’t be beat only a hundred meters of so from the waterfront. Bed was super comfortable, washroom had the best heated towel racks. My wife and I visited on our honeymoon and hotel organized a trip wonderful bottle of sparkling wine and chocolates to make things special. The restaurant is amazing too. Excellent menu and all food was homemade style. Delicious and we found ourselves eating there a few times it was so good.

Nothing, flawless.

I was offered before arrival a free of charge upgrade to an upstairs room, Luc , the owner, really accommodates all the needs. I could even stay on the day of the check out a little longer until 2.30 pm instead of 11am, therefore I could use the room until I had to get to the airport! They have great coffee and restaurant too. Everything is walking distance at Seapoint, the hotel is in a small street, therefore it is quiet, but the Promenade is only 2 minutes walk. Breakfast is very good! Location is excellent!

The bathroom would need a bit of TLC!

The hotel was ideally situated for access to the seafront and for taking the tour bus around the city . The owners Luis and Els were exceptionally helpful with tips and directions. The staff were beyond helpful, always cheerful and could not do enough for you. Our room was on the ground floor and super clean and provided everything we needed. I would hope that we can return one day, they made our three night stay in Cape Town so wonderful! Oh and the food was DELICIOUS!

There was nothing to fault at all

Overall excellent stay. Outstanding breakfast each morning with lots of options. Appreciative of the hospitality of the staff. Nice size room, modern bathroom, and strong wifi. Also the hotel restaurant and bar had good variety for lunch and dinner, and reasonable prices as well. Location is right off the main road on one side and the promenade on the other. Great home base to explore the Seapoint area, and on the street by the promenade , a stop for the red CitySightsessing bus which has regular stops and other public transportation. They helped with arranging travel to/from the airport.

I have no complaints about my stay and experience.

We began our Garden Route (Motorcycle Tour) with several acclimatisation days here at the Promenade and our stay remains a main highlight of our 3 weeks in SA. Luc (the owner) is a lovely enigmatic man with an attention to detail which defies belief extending to all the staff who could not be more friendly, fun and attentive. Our spotlessly maintained room was a delight with every imaginable amenity and supremely comfortable bed. The food and fayre in the restaurant is superlative and understandably very popular with local residents (always a good sign) so booking (for Dinner) is a must. We felt the location was ideal being amidst a wide range of shops, bars and eateries with just a short walk to the marvellous Hop-on-off Bus service (Stop 10). Sea Point therefore fell perfectly for us, being close enough to the city centre yet away from the overpriced hubbub of Camps Bay and similar. In conclusion, as said, a highlight of our holiday and when we return to Cape Town we will not give a moments thought to staying anywhere else.

There is nothing not to like.
