The V&A Waterfront is a safe location and in short and safe walking distance to the Waterfront with it restaurants and shops.

So it seems the owners of the apartments use an outside company to rent out their apartments. It appears that the best apartments are used for marketing purposes. The particular unit we had had all the basic necessities and it was neat and clean, but the decor leaves much to be desired. The fact that we had to do an EFT after the booking is also an inconvenience.

Proximity to the waterfront, great views, quiet, easy location for sightseeing

My first booking was cancelled due to non payment when you had my credit card details, no warning or email from yourselves ? As it was over the Easter weekend no 2 bedroom apartments were available so ended up paying for 2 x 1 bedroom apartments which cost an additional A$1,200. I hadn’t realised you had a different payment system especially after I had confirmed and had a confirmation email from you too! I’ve always settled the bill at the beginning or end of our stay with Booking.com ???

Check in process is tedious and inefficient. The water pressure for the shower was very poor. Reception don't call back when they say they will. My access card stopped working 3 times because security messed up my dates even though they had all the information and I specifically reminded them numerous times.

Liked the location,overlooking canals. Felt safe and security staff were very helpful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of African street entertainment.

Trying to find the reception area. We drove around in circles trying to find the entrance. Signage needs greater improvement. Even Avis car hire couldn't find it when we returned our hire car! Some TLC is needed in the apartment we stayed in. I defrosted the freezer it was so bad. The iron needs replacing. Basic maintenance like light bulbs and bathroom extractor fan? And a decent set of kitchen knives - trying to skin a mango with a 9" knife wasn't easy.

Great location with easy access to the waterfront area in Cape Town. Although quite busy, the complex was quiet. Many tourist attractions nearby, or close to tourist office where trips could and were arranged. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to travel around the Cape Town area.

General staff attitude was good but two (don't remember names) were not that helpful especially when looking for the way to the main entrance. They were not clear in their instruction/guidance. But we eventually found our way, and once we found the way to the main entrance it was easy. But it could have been better explained.

The apartment was spacious and well furnished. Great outlook over the waterfront with spacious balcony to enjoy the view from. Security was excellent. Front office staff were friendly as were the security staff.

The double bed mattress was uncomfortable and sagging in the middle, it felt like it had seen better days! Toilet in the ensuite dripped constantly and the shower in the second bedroom could not drain properly. We had requested that both get looked at. The shower was attended too on 3 ocassions and we were assured each time that it was fixed, but it was not, as a result we were left to use one shower. No one attended the toilet at all. We gave up asking after a while. There was no safe for our use in the room as the only safe,were were told, was the owners personal safe and was locked. The glass doors to the ensuite in both bedrooms left no privacy and this was a problem each time someone wanted to use the bathroom.

Security, proximity to waterfront and surrounding activities.

For a luxury apartment, the television could have been bigger than the 32 inch one. Would have also been nice to have multiple TV sets (living room, bedrooms). Consider also having adequate winter blankets based on occupancy and not 1 blanket per apartment (thanks to reception for arranging a second one for the kids).

Location was extremely convenient, and the surrounding environment was pleasant as well. Facilities was exactly as described, and service standards were top notch and responsive. The whole family felt safe and secure throughout our stay, and that made it a extremely memorable one for us all.

Nit picking a little here: we were advised during our check in that one of the access cards we were entitled to had to be replaced, and we were supposed to get a replacement sent to us on Day 2. But we never got our 2nd access card. Extremely small and minor issue which did not dampen our enjoyment of our stay.

Check in was easy and quick. Apartment was clean and comfortable. We stayed here numerous times before. No issues at all.

A12 hour notice is required for visitors. Some people can only confirm a few hours before (not 12 hours). Also, sometimes we meet friends that we would like to invite over. The visitor's rule is too harsh. Hours should be more relaxed. As long as they have I.D. that should be sufficient. No need for 12 hour notice.
