The staff was very kind and helpful, the room was huge, clean, with coffee machine and we got complementary coffee pods. The AC/heating was adjustable, window was openable, so no problems with too hot/too cold rooms. Breakfast was great, very varied. Restaurant is also very good. Little shop at the ground floor was helpful if we wanted something small to eat. The shuttle was very useful when we wanted to go to the waterfront. The consierge helped with booking very good programs. Everything was really exceptional.

The weather. September is not the best month to stay there.

Excellent hotel, great value for money. Large and comfortable rooms, complete with little amenities like a couch, toiletries, hair dryer, iron, etc and very clean and nicely kept. The breakfast was rich and nutritious, complete with extras like to-order omelets and poached eggs. I am lactose intolerant so it was wonderful to be able to get lactose free drinks and food. The staff is superb, super helpful, polite and kind. The reception is always staffed with hospitable and well trained people. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable and cater to any needs we had. The wifi works very well and the rooms have large screen TVs. The shower was perfect, pressurized warm water. It was also important that we did not feel the effects of the scheduled power cuts that happen every day in Cape Town.

The hotel does not have anything next to it, eg no cafes or restaurants and although on the waterfront, it is actually in the loading zone of the docks so it is not an area you can walk in. I was a bit surprised by this because I thought it would be more central but you cannot walk anywhere from the hotel. To make up for this, however, the hotel offers free shuttle service from morning til 9 pm that takes you to the busy parts of the waterfront (V&A area). There is also free boat service which my family took and loved. Overall, the hotel takes great care of its guests.

Breakfast was great. The location was also great, but would love to have security during the evening when I wanted to walk back from the Waterfront to the hotel.

One of the Security men made a personal comment ... unacceptable. The Staff at the Front Desk should never ever talk amongst themselves (personal topics) when guests are within hearing distance. One waitress was not very friendly when I asked for hot milk. She told me the hot milk (breakfast) was at the milk station. I already felt it was cold. I went back to her to ask for hot milk and she was irritated with me.

new hotel, really good breakfast hotel, amazing kind staff, great rooms clean, modern and big

the transportation options. there was a shuttle that would pick you up from a dark slot parking (we actually ended up getting a taxi). only 6 services per day to waterfront 3 each way) the front desk only has private transportation (expensive) and would only suggest calling an uber. Uber kept rejecting our trips because they were too short. they do not have a taxi service available. due to construction in progress there was no walking option to the waterfront VERY disappointing!

We stayed at AC Marriott for 10 days. We had a room in the 5th floor with a corner window. So we were lucky to have a view over the whole city, the lions head, table mountain and devils peak. We hiked them all :-) This is incredible! The food was really amazing. The breakfast was organised as a buffet plus special orders for special hot drinks and eggs (egg Benedict or individual Omelette) was included. The dinner was a la carte, very sophisticated and completed with a local wine and cocktail list. For snacks and cold drinks during the day, there is a little market in the hotel where you can buy chilled vine & beer, sweets and fruit salad and other snack. The selection is good and prices are fair. The hotel is located near the waterfront, which is a very modern and beautiful part of Cape Town. You can go there by foot along the canals which is really beautiful. The hotel offers a shuttle and a boat service to go there as well. The hotel is really well organised, staff is always more than friendly. We enjoyed our stay a lot an would totally recommend it when planning to explore Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

The gym is too small for more than two persons. Personally I would prefer more Gadgets for weightlifting (bars and e.g. barbells) instead of cardio machines. The mountains offer so much cardio options ;-)

The hotel was a nice surprise. I made a last-minute reservation, and they were able to accommodate us. The hotel is relatively new since it was closed throughout the pandemic, and it smells and looks new. The rooms were quite large and they were sparkling clean, with great views of Table Mountain. The hotel was also super quiet, thanks to its location away from the waterfront and just in front of a cruise ship pier. The beds were very comfortable with crisp linens, and the offerings on T.V. were great. Most of the staff were pleasant and friendly.

The breakfast was just meh, and I was shocked to see the gardener climb on top of the breakfast service area (after the plates were cleared) in order to water the plants on the wall. I spoke to the manager about that, and I can guarantee he won't be doing it again in plain view of the hotel guests. Also, the front desk clerks weren't especially warm and welcoming. They seemed distracted and frazzled. The guests in the breakfast area were also a bit rough-looking, although there's nothing the hotel can do about that. If the guests come down to breakfast with their hair in 50 different directions, and wearing bedroom slippers, what can they do?

The breakfast was excellent .

The location was not as I expected. It was difficult to get walking to waterfront or down town.

Very modern and clean hotel. It felt very safe and the facilities were great! I loved breakfast and I ordered room service which was great and a good price!

The location was a bit out of the way. was neither close to the V&A or centre.

We had a fabulous 10 night stay at the hotel. The hotel was so so comfortable, the bedroom with a view of Table Mountain was spotlessly clean and quiet. Breakfast was included and while busy was really good and very well managed. The dinner menu was good and the food was excellent. A great stay at the hotel but without doubt the best part was the staff ….. they were truly exceptional and were so welcoming and attentive…. there are just too many to personally name but the reception and bar/restaurant staff were amazing. We have been fortunate to stay in many Marriott hotels in many countries and it almost seems unfair, because all have been good, but without doubt this is our favourite

Nothing ….. one or two reviews mention that it is not actually right on the V&A Waterfront which is correct …. but the enchanting complimentary boat transfer along the canal is a joy. Return by Uber or private taxi is so easy and cheap

The location was very nice with the beautiful views

The reception staff are not friendly and the cleaning staff did a poor job in cleaning our room, they didn't wipe the cold drink stains that where there before they cleaned, the bedding was not changed,
