The location is amazing, from the hotel you reach the VA Waterfront in just 6-7 min walk along the water canal, rooms are clean and comfy, the staff is very helpful and always ready to give advices on tours and hours, always nice and smiling; breakfast is continental (eggs, bacon, cheese, omlette, ash browns, at least one variety of veggies, muesly, pastry, bread butter jam...) - plenty of food but not that much variety from day to day, it was okay with us though. They just opened a massage room, which was a bonus for me. Would definitely recommend your stay there: excellent stay at a good price given you are at the Waterfront in Cape Town.

We booked this hotel for such a good price we weren’t expecting much but it was near perfect! Location is spot on for everything you want to do in and around Cape Town, felt safe walking to and from the V&A waterfront (about 10 mins by foot), Kloof St and Green Point etc. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we were able to access our room a couple of hours early (much needed after a sleepless night flight). Speedy communication via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything. Strong wifi. Breakfast was fantastic - a good selection of fresh fruit, cold meats, pastries etc, as well as eggs, bacon, sausages and more. Room was a very good size, nice hot shower, efficient air con. All great :) Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a couple of early starts and needed to eat breakfast for 6.30am (when it opened) but nothing was out until after 6.50am both times - a little more punctuality would be useful so guests don’t miss out on food before a day of adventure :)

We enjoyed our stay for the 2 days. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean. The breakfast was excellent.

There was no fridge and microwave. I would appreciate it if there will be the appliances in the rooms.

My stay at the Onomo was really nice, the staff was absolutely amazing and kind. Breakfast was fantastic, highlight is the omelette station for sure! Room was comfortable, if help is needed you can contact the front desk via WhatsApp and they will help quickly.

There are spa services advertised. I opted for a pedicure but I definitely wouldn’t recommend. The spa lady was about 1.5hrs late and then did not do a good paint job. Could’ve painted my toes better myself. The staff of the hotel handled the situation of me waiting for the spa appointment with grace. Offered a free glass of wine and ended up making the appointment complementary because of the delay. Foot massage was okay, so maybe massage services are fine. Would not recommend for nail appointment.

The rooms were good. I liked the location of the hotel, and it was exactly the way I was expected. Breakfast was also good. I enjoyed every day of my stay. The waiters and the security were so friendly and helpful. I can recommend my friends to book for themselves.

What I didn't like about was, the delay of changing the bedrooms sheets and bath towels. The rooms were given, accommodate for four people but they put only three bath towel and that was not good. The management of the Hotel must improve on that.

The location is brilliant for the waterfront. I felt comfortable to walk to the front etc alone. Small room but I knew this before I booked and as a single traveller this was not an issue at all. Tv worked fab, wifi worked fab and got left some fresh fruit to apologise for the taxi strikes one day too. The restaurant for breakfast and tea / dinner were lovely. And there are two staff members in particular who really care about you and go above and beyond for you. These were Thibusa and Beatrix. Nothing was too much for them and as a female travelling alone they looked after me so well. Thank you ladies. Very boutique looking hotel too! Loved the decor!

In the bedroom there is no wardrobe / chest of drawers. There is a small metal pole with coat hangers on but ultimately not enough space to put clothing away so was living out of my suitcase all week. Also floor 1 is right above the restaurant and they turn the music on early - like 6:30am. The music isn’t actually that loud down in the restaurant but I’m not sure there’s much soundproofing as you could hear everything from my room. Didn’t bother me in the evenings as I was often out myself.

Very nice and clean hotel. Their breakfast was really good. Nice walk from the hotel entrance to the rest of the waterfront area

They have these fancy looking bathroom cabinets which don't make sense because bathroom basin is actually right at the entrance of the room instead of being put inside the actual bathroom. I personally didn't like seeing the basin all the time - even from the bed. It was just wierd not having a basin inside the actual bathroom and seeing it at the main door whenever we came in and out. What a waste of money because that basin is not cheap!

The location is great for the CTICC & the V&A Waterfront. You can walk everywhere and it is safe. The hotel has a eclectic décor, which is refreshing in this era where companies struggle to differentiate. Safe, secure, refreshing, kind people, value for money and vibrancy. Special mention - the staff are very friendly and prioritise team work!

The fact that my room window could not open at all - so aircon dependent and out of touch feeling, but most of the rooms are able to open.

The Room was perfect for my wife and I for the night. If you were here on holiday then don't expect to spend time in your room. The breakfast was great and ample for any traveller. A very good spread with everything you need for a great start to the day. The location is amazing. Right on the edge of the Waterfront and within 10min walking. We walked to the waterfront and Aquarium, had dinner at Gibson's Grill and walked back to the hotel after 10pm. Safe and easy. Parked out on the road and safe and lots of security.

Maybe have more coffee and milk in the rooms, only coffee creamer. The bar and restaurant closes at 10pm so could do with adjustment.

The friendly staff from reception, breakfast area and the room the cleaning lady. We really enjoyed the massage and was very special because it was my husband 60 birthday. We both needed because of our daily work routine. I'm thankful to Ms Anathi Kose who found my bank card under the bed it really shows that they are doing a great job. She could have used it but we found it on the table. I'm grateful to people like her. God Bless her and all the staff.
