The Lodge was such a pleasant surprise... a little bit of peace right in the city. A huge amount of effort has been put in by Claire to add character and interest wherever you look and the Lodge and grounds have been very well maintained by her husband... still developing new and exciting rooms for you to stay in and enjoy. So much detail to the eclectic decor of the main areas, there is so much to look at! A very interesting place to stay and we felt extremely welcome. The staff are very friendly and Douglas made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back and want to stay longer.

Everything about the place was amazing and the staff themselves were really friendly and helpful.

So the one thing which I have to mention is that there could have been some lack of communication with staff. I say this because I did upgrade my original booking when I was checking in and I assume some members were not notified because while I was in the room with my fiancé (I'm sure you can assume what was happening) a staff member proceeded to unlock the room door and enter the room while we both were in our complete natural glory. I mean I did shout after I realized what was happening and the staff member had of course gotten a fright and left immediately. Its alittle concerning for that to have happened but also embarrassing to know that my wife and I were spotted while indulging in one another in what we hoped was private.

The breakfast was good. The accomodation would have scored excellent but for a bit of a hiccup with no hot water to shower they did respond promptly to resolve the problem but our stay was too short to benefit. However they compensated with a free breakfast even with the cold shower the venue was worth every cent

Aside from the glitch where the gas geaser encountered a problem that required a repair we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the best sleep out of all the places we have stayed at

The room was comfortable. The meals were very delicious - we enjoyed the "Full Monty" breakfasts and tried most of the dinner meals, not one dissapointed us, they were all fantastic. The room was nicely spaced from other rooms which allows one to feel relaxed and have privacy. The whole team at Ascot Bush lodge were amazing, friendly and helpful, exceeded our expectations - Well done team you are amazing!!

Definately Nothing we didnt like. Just a suggestion -that the 2 chairs in the room could be replaced with more comfy chairs.

The view of the lake from our cabin was beautiful, that, coupled with an array of wildlife and relics on the property was outstanding. I think my wife and I spotted an African monitor lizard on our first day. The property was nicely secluded and provided plenty of privacy and peace.

The rain which was understandably was out of the control of the property and staff caused the water to rush into our room making the mat wet.

The Ascot Bush lodge is a rustic yet modern lodge that exceeded our expectations. The owner was hands on and available to meet our needs. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The property is well secured and made the stay less stressful for us as the kids wondered the grounds watching birds

There were no microwaves in the rooms so heating left over food for kids was impossible. There is an ironing room near reception, no irons in the room. The menu needs to have more family orientates meals.. Like platters and milkshakes or cocktails for those who don't drink alcohol.

The property is secured, well taken care of and the rooms inside are fitted in a uniquely nice way. It’s actually exceeded my expectations.

Our room (No. 60) was far away from the parkings. There was no assisted with the luggage , it’s even worse when it’s raining.

We enjoyed the personal attention received by the staff. They really offered great service and assistance to our various requirements. Their friendly and helpful attitudes made our stay very pleasant.

Not much to say here. The only critique I would give is that we didnt enjoy the cremora sachets at the tea and coffee stations. We would have preferred milk. But when we requested we were supplied milk and were very happy.

The Ascot Bush lodge was amazing. From the rustic outlook to the modern layout in the rooms was fantastic. The resort is secure with 24hr security making it safe for the kids to move about the premises and keep busy. The owner was welcoming and hands on ensuring we were happy.

The entertainment area lacked snacks to keep kids happy. The bar menu is great for adults but no variety for the kids, only coke and water.. Maybe add milkshake. No microwave in the room to heat left over meals or milk for coffee.

Locations is good .Could my wait for breakfast though. I love the rondavel/rooms big and the thatched roof made the room temperature cool even without an Airconditioner being turn on .

I expected the room to look much brother and perfumed . There is no side attraction -it could be that my attention was not drawn to it by management.
