Great location right in Insadong too! Very safe since I was walking back around midnight and didn't feel uncomfy. The room had a great view. My train from Busan arrived at midnight, and it took a lot of stress off when the owner gave instructions to get to my room. The owner was very kind and easy to communicate with in English. I wish I spent more time there since there was a nice view on the rooftop and a hammock! Definitely will have to come back. They also had a universal charger in the room! I didn't see that anywhere else I went, very thoughtful.

I guess I didn't read the description clearly since it was cash only. It was also a bit tricky to find an ATM since it took 3 ATMs until I found one working. Other than that, there were a few noticeable stains on the sheets. It is quite small too but if you organize yourself, it is quiet pleasant.

The property is managed by a lovely innkeeper, Mr.Kim, with a sweet cat, Yuni! I felt safe and welcome the moment I arrived. Mr.Kim makes you feel right at home in the centre of Seoul. Three minutes' walk from Anguk station, surrounded by restaurants just down Insadong street and small, unique boutiques nearby, the location is great as well. Definitely returning here in the future.

- Mattresses a bit hard - Top bunks have no curtains - Only one Yuni the cat! The mattress felt a bit hard at first and I was surprised that the top bunks have no curtains, but it wasn't too bad at all.

Amazing location, in the middle of Insa Dong which is nearby to most tourist attractions in Seoul. The hostel has also a free breakfast which is great! You can also do the laundry and use the rooftop which has nice view.

Our room was very small and the bunk beds are very low so it was hard to sit up. You could only lay down or stand up. Also the shower was just a handle attached to the wall. It wasn’t a proprietary shower cabin so when showering you made everything around you wet. That was not shown on the pictures properly as they were showing “a normal shower”.

oh my the location is so great! you can see a lot in insadong area just by walking and it's near a strategic bus and train station, and also airport bus station. easy to get to myeongdong which is where most of the tour meet up place is. host is great! he said there was no more free breakfast but there was still some during my stay so that was great. enough to start the day (bread, eggs, cereal, milk, jam, coffee, etc). bed and duvet was comfy and towels were changed everyday. bathroom was cleaned everyday!

the dorm room was super small. didnt realize that what u saw on the pic, that's it. not hostel's fault but there was a smelly guest during my stay and I had to open the door to air out the smell. don't know how this can be remedied maybe open the door 1-2hrs during the day? the temperature of the hot shower couldnt be controlled well, it was too hot

The location of the hostel is great. Insadong has a lot of sightseeing you can do and the hostel is pretty much in the middle of the shopping street, in a more quiet alley. The area seemed very safe and there are a lot of restaurants close by. The owner is very friendly and he will try his best to help with any problems or questions not only about the hostel but also places to go.

It is good for short term stays, but if you intend to stay longer this might not be the best option. The rooms are very small so any big luggages have to be keept in the hallway, since they don't fit in the rooms.

Eggs and bread was provided with other essentials for breakfast to cook ourselves! Compare to value that was more than enough. Thank you! Location was near by any thing you can look for, stores, restaurants and transportations!

I went with myself and three teenage boys. It would be perfect if it was two person room. I wanted get extra room after sew the room but wasn’t available. It was nice experience to stay together so tightly with my boys and ended of saving money , hahahaha!

The location is very good, it is just a few meters from the "Anguk" metro station, which is possible to connect with other lines and explore the whole city. Around this hostel there are many restaurants serving Korean cuisine and traditional architecture, which is very interesting. There are shops for shopping, restaurants and it is very close to Hanok Village and two very large palaces to visit. Breakfast starts at 8 am and has variations, and organized by the owner every morning, it has cereals, boiled eggs, salad, milk, coffee, juice, bread, it is very varied and very tasty. The rooftop is very interesting to view the neighborhood of "Insadong". The 4-bed room has an internal bathroom. In the rooms you need to take off your shoes, which are outside the room. The bed is comfortable and has individual sockets and lights in each bed. There is a locker in the room.

Actually, there are no problems, the 4-bed room is comfortable but doesn't have much space. So if you have a lot of bags you need to be organized.

The location and the breakfast were great. Even though rooms are a bit small, but the hotel was clean and the cat was very cute. It was easily accessible, staff was kind and helpful. I was backpacking for only couple of days so this hotel provided a great accommodation. It would possibly be harder with larger luggage.

I think the size of the rooms would not be a problem with a bit of improvement. I stayed at 4 person dorm room and one of the beds didn't have a curtain and light. I think they all should have the same standards. Also as many others suggested, bathroom and shower could be redesigned.

Very homely place, with incense burning as you walk in and there is a cat that can be quite friendly especially at night (but mostly stays out of the way during the day). My room had its own bathroom and mini fridge. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from Anguk station and 10 minutes from Jonggak station, it is just off the main tourist shopping street with a lot of shops and restaurants open during the day, and is very quiet at night. I felt very safe walking there at all times of the day and night. Free luggage storage on your check in/check out days if you don't mind leaving your luggage in the common area.

The common space is kind of small as it is mainly just the kitchen and dining table. The curtains on the beds don't give much privacy or block the light out much. The bathroom is a combined shower/toilet area so if someone has just taken a shower the floor is very wet when you go to the toilet. However for me overall it was a comfortable stay and I felt very at home here.
