Nice hotel. Very close to city centre, only 2 mnts from University and 10 mnts walking from La Rambla, bus stops and subway just outside. Lots of restaurants, shops and coffee shops near.Everywhere was clean, room was spacious, comfortable bed, clean towels were replaced every day. Breakfast good, with a big selection.. Staff very friendly and if you ask they will give lots of information about Barcelona and how yo get where you want.

It was so good that I extended my previous reservation. Even if in Barcelona every room is good enough to be rented and there will always be tourists to accept any kind of room without complaining (while paying high rates for accommodation), I can assure you that Caledonian Hotel is not that kind of hotel. They are so dedicated, detailed and client oriented. They offer quality in every single aspect for their guests. Competitors (especially in the neighbourhood) must have difficult time to compete with Caledonian Hotel which is proven also by the clients' overall reviews. Highly recommended.

The use of the TV remote control is not so intuitive. Basic written instructions for its use would be helpful especially as there are rooms where not all channels run properly, some not being listed.

Several things: - Reachable to/from El Prat Airport. You can take the Aerobus and will leave you a couple of blocks away from the hotel. -There is an area of lockers where you can leave your luggage safely. Great when you get too early for check-in or if you need to leave later than check out time - Very centric and well located. Metro station 1 block away. - Room: great space, great bed and linen and AMAZING BATHROOM. Lot of space and the shower was majestic

Nothing that I dislike

They have a nice style inside and it s very clean. It s near the metro station Universitat ( 2-3 mins walk ) , near a Starbucks and a fancy restaurant ( Parking Pizza ) and also another one with tapas. We had fresh towels everyday and the room cleaned. 10 mins walk to Plaça Catalunya and also close to Passeig de Gracia - 15 mins ( Casa Batllo, Mila and stores ) We also had a balcony but it was blocked, we couldn't go outside Per total it was a very nice and pleasant experience I definitely recommend staying at this hotel

They didn't provide slippers and it was pretty cold on the floor. The check in really is at 2 PM, yet you can let your luggage at the lockers.

Have stayed before. Has been refurbished. Central location, clean room, nice breakfast room Huge top floor room with terrace

Lots of hot water, but the first day the rain shower had no hot water. Advised reception. OK next day. Heating / cooling control was a little temperamental. Also heat did not reach the bathroom which was a corridor away in this big room. Very good breakfast selection but the hot items were never more than lukewarm. They were on a heated surface but it was barely warm. Needs adjustment and they should also be covered.

Location is good if you like walking. for us, it was perfect, we walked everywhere in the city. It is close to airport bus stops and metro stations. there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms are simple and clean. we got a room with a terrace, but we could not use it often because it was really cold outside. I am sure it will be great fun to have a few drinks at the terrace during summer time.

Try to get a room a bit far away from the lift. It is noisy, and it may wake you up in the middle of the night.

Amazing location, and my room with double bed was just gorgeous - clean, modern, super fresh! I went in and just said WOW! Exceeded my expectations! And noise isolation was great, didn’t hear the busy street at all! Stuff was very friendly and helpful!

There could be some vegetables for breakfast :-)

The location and the room were excellent; and so were the services provided by the hotel such as laundry and lockers for the luggage.

Didn't find the staff particularly friendly, not that it matters much.

Very comfortable and modern room, exceptionally clean, fantastic location, decent breakfast choices on buffet, and friendly staff. The 59 bus stop is just outside the hotel and it takes you straight to Barceloneta beach; it’s a five minute walk to the D50 bus stop which takes you to Sagrada Familia; and it’s a 5 minute walk to the 24 bus stop which takes you to Parc Guell. All the fares are set at €2.55 so you just tap your bank card on the machine. Every where else is within easy walking distance.

The only small criticism I have is that the cooked breakfast choice was lukewarm, and no water dispensing machine available.
