Fabulous location in the old town with friendly and helpful staff on reception. Our room was small but nicely appointed, with excellent mattress and sound-proofing. So we had a great night's sleep. Be advised the 'pool' is too small to swim, and you need to book a slot. You may not be able to use it (we did, but not until next morning).

The breakfast was disappointing. With tables close together, we shared the dramas of a tour party. The food from the buffet was good quality, but selection not great. Coffee is self-service from an industrial nespresso machine with warm milk on the side. One member of staff had to work tirelessly to keep the room going, but it was just a disappointing experience overall. Particularly at the price point of the hotel. I've had breakfasts twice as good in hotels half the price.

Excellent boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. Beware - despite Google do not try to drive there! It is better to park in the underground parking station Paseo de Canalejas and take a 6 minute walk. (20Euros/24 hrs). Beautiful decor, warm reception and a pleasant room. Only one chair despite it being a double room. Good quiet air-conditioning, well-appointed modern bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast in a delightful breakfast-room on the ground floor.

I had not noticed that this hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, only bed and breakfast available. Information re parking is lacking on the Booking.com website. Not the hotel's responsibility of course, but unfortunately our stay was marred by the hordes of tourists who descended off three visiting cruise ships.

The hotel itself IS stunning, ideally located, well appointed and with some unique and luxurious features. The Tower Room is surprisingly spacious and the terrace offers incredible views. The Spa area is very nice, the gym is small but modern and reasonably well equipped.

It was bemusing that having booked the one and only Tower Room (a much higher price point than the Junior Suite or Double Rooms) we were assigned a standard room on check in and had to go back to correct it. Having made special requests on the booking and with it being the only such room you'd think they'd be prepared for you. And then although we booked Junior Suites for the other couples in our group, the rooms they ended up with were of completely different qualities; one was on the 4th floor and had a terrace and a separate living room; the other was on the 1st floor, had much less space and no terrace yet they both cost the same. Hotel seemed to be understaffed; long waits at reception.

We enjoyed the location, the silence both upon entering the beautiful palace hall and in the corridors and room, the big bed with an awesome mattress, the amenities. The shower glass door is not well sealed and some drops remain outside but you don't care too much when all the rest is great. The property offered a free room upgrade upon entering so we went from a standard with balcony to a premium with balcony in the upper floors.

Reading other people's comments you hear about parking problems or breakfast. This was not our case so we give them a 10. It was hard to find a hotel without noise in the area. This one is perfect.

The location was perfect! Also the ambiance of the hotel, with it's open palatial feel. This was my second time to stay in this hotel and I extended to another day. The hotel gives you enough privacy without really seeing other guests walking around, aside from breakfast. The AC was perfect, the rooms sound proof, and the size just right with a partition only made 3/4 of the wall giving you the feeling that it's big. I have a double room and it has its own separate sitting room with additional TV, and a table where I can work a bit during my stay and a balcony. Breakfast was included in my booking you get more than enough choices at the buffet.

Historic building that has been beautifully adapted to a stylish boutique hotel. Very pleasant decor and friendly, helpful staff. Beds were comfortable, very impressed to see the remote control had been cleaned. Good facilities in the room and good selection at breakfast, with option of eggs cooked to order. Right in the centre of the old town so a walk to the places of interest and bars and restaurants.

There was an Irish bar just below our window which was quite noisy, not the fault of the hotel but something to bear in mind. Not having a bar or restaurant, we arrived late and would have liked to have at least a quiet drink and some tapas maybe but we did know this when we booked.

This hotel is situated in an old restored building with beautiful period features such as the grand staircase and glass atrium .The location is central situated in the old town .The bedroom was fitted out to the highest standard with a great spacious bathroom and excellent shower .The breakfast is first class with a huge choice of fruit cheese bread etc and eggs cooked to order .At reception there is always available fruit drinks and small pastries .All the staff were so helpful and friendly with plenty of good advice on places to visit restaurants and how to get there etc Highly recommend this hotel .

A small point - the hotel mugs are too big for the coffee machine in the bedroom ( I understand smaller cups are on order)so need to be used with care as the water gets very hot

Stunning building inside and out. Its location was perfect-close to the majority of the sights. The whole hotel was spotless and gleaming. We had a junior suite and the space was impressive plus we had a terrace which afforded us outside space too. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

The only thing that we could fault was the bath in the bathroom. Due to the shower panel being fixed it was impossible to turn the water on to fill the bath without actually getting into the bath to do so. It was therefore very difficult to regulate the heat of the water too without getting your feet wet/burnt! Absolutely fine though if you only want a shower.

Lovely hotel with great location in the heart of Cadiz old town. Beautiful reception area with fresh water, wine and pastries available for guests. Room was very clean, bed comfortable and hot shower a real treat. Staff were also very helpful and able to both highlight the best sights to see as well as good restaurants to visit.

Absolutely nothing as this hotel exceeded our expectations. The only thing we can't comment on was breakfast as we chose to eat out each day rather than sign up for it.

The hotel impresses at the very first moment: a bright light foyer with a glass dome, a cosy velvet sofa and a pleasant lounge music background, allowing you to escape from all worries and travel events. The feeling of a palace is created by a beautiful red carpet on the staircase leading to the upper floors, nice flowers and welcome drinks. The hotel space is filled with a palette of inspiring jasmine scents coming from the alley nearby. The room has a huge bright bathroom, I was personally impressed with the cosmetics, in particular the shampoo and conditioner, the oils in these products invigorated my hair, and with a very nice hair dryer with ionizing effect, which we liked so much that we bought the same one for home on the first day of our staying. For the cleanliness of the room and bathroom I would give 100 points instead of the maximum possible 10, this is a really exclusive approach to cleanliness and care of the rooms. I am very grateful to the hotel team for my birthday greeting, I appreciate it a lot. For those who uses digital technology there was a very great opportunity to use the TV to watch media transmitted from the own phone or laptop via WIFI, there is also an audio installation Bluetooth for broadcasting online radio with very high quality audio speakers. The hotel is very close to all sightseeing highlights, cafes and restaurants, flamenco theatre. The impression of the hotel is very positive, can be compared to visiting of a theatre or palace.

The hotel does not have its own car park, but the issue is solved very simply, there is an underground very convenient car park in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. For breakfast it is better to come with an translator book or app (or picture of your wish :) to translate from a foreign language into Spanish or to be able to talk Spanish, because besides the traditional buffet dishes you can order other dishes of all kinds, everything will be cooked at your will, but for communication it is better to know Spanish. The atmosphere in the hotel is so favourable and peaceful that even if there were no breakfast, it makes sense to opt for this offer.
