This is the third time we have stayed at the Zubieta and we have always been happy with it. The room was nice and roomy. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We have also enjoyed this hotel because of the sitting area in the bar area where we can visit with our family and friends who live in Lekeitio. It is a welcoming and friendly place to stay. We got excellent service from the staff and especially enjoyed Suzanna serving us.

The room was nice and roomy but we noticed that the carpets had stains on them. The entryway into the hotel via car is tricky to fit through but that is part of the charm of the hotel.

Nothing to fault. A chance find but very happy we found it! A characterful, historical converted stable block to the neighbouring Manor house. Effortless charm and quality. Room was generous and bathroom spotless. The restaurant served good range of breakfast items and dinner (reservation needed) provided quality food. Lovely little pool area with loungers and an excellent bar in the lounge. The bonus was the staff, who spoke several languages and worked tirelessly, whilst always smiling, to ensure we felt welcome from the start. An easy walk through a few streets brings you to the harbourside area with bars and restaurants and a very clean beach. Parking is easy with a bamboo lined avenue leading to a safe parking area. For a chilled out, high quality, stay we would highly recommend this hotel

Located just out of the centre of Lekeitio, w/in easy walking distance of the beautiful harbour, AND very close to one of the best restaurants in all of the Basque Country! Room was again very comfortable, in fact, they upgraded us to a suite. Very cozy bar and casual eating place around a roaring open fire. Staff were very helpful, especially when my partner needed help negotiating a parking ticket!

All in all, a great, luxury hotel. But the single step outside the elevator to the new wing of the building is very dangerous and needs to be rectified. My partner tripped full out on departure with a small backpack on her back - luckily fell evenly on both hands (and knees!) with no damage (but very sore knees for several days afterwards). We pointed it out to the desk staff, and hope it has been rectified by now. In many countries, a single step violates the building code for just this reason - people don't see it. Needs at the least warning tape and better lighting, or better the creation of a short ramp in lieu of the single step.

This charming hotel is set just off below the town in a green oasis. Beautiful outside areas for relaxing, dining and having a drink pre dinner. A very relaxed atmosphere which we especially enjoyed after six weeks on the go. All staff were welcoming and helpful. excellent restaurant and bar service. Parking on site easy. Tip. hotel can be difficult to find…look for the stone arch on the right hand side and drive through.

An oasis within the buzzy little town of Lekeitio. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The snacks (pintxos), orange juice and coffee is all excellent and good value. Beautiful rooms and pool. All within a 5~10 min walk to the beach and harbour.

We went when the weather was warm and not too hot (which is pretty standard of northern Spain) but be aware the rooms do not have AC, however this wasn't an issue for us. There was a fan provided.

The hotel is gorgeous and exceptionally clean, the staff were all lovely and helpful; the food was delicious and it's just far enough away from the town to feel like you're in the countryside but still only a short walk to the port, beach and bars/restaurants.

A hotel of this standard (and cost!) really should provide water and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Also, having to collect a key from reception each you wanted to use the pool.

Extremely helpful staff! Helped me get a room for a second night very speedily when I unfortunately became ill (not related to the hotel, it was something I ate the day before). Very peacful area (windows open all I could hear were birds). Interior was beautiful as well, older house converted to a hotel and well decorated. Close walk to the city center, beach, and plenty of parking once you realize its beyond the stone arch.

Loved the location. The hotel is authentic and the people incredibly nice. The breakfast is amazing and the restaurant at night has the best food. You are only a few minutes away from the beach and the bubbly center of Lekeitio and can enjoy the pool as well. Nice extra: lots of parking space. In short: this stay is a small oasis!

It's a beautiful house set back in the lush grounds of an old palace within easy reach of the middle of this very charming, civilized and historic town - and it's beaches .Good food from breakfast on, lovely verandah to eat relax drink chat or read on - with a nice and clean pool close by. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgable, going out of their way to help and advise, e.g a out where (else) to eat and walk......

This is a beautiful country hotel full of unpretentious old world charm. We loved the history of the buildings, the lush greenery and gardens, the swimming pool the food, the staff and mostly the tranquility.

There’s no fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room. There’s no aircon, but we had a standing fan and 3 windows to throw open to the breeze.
