Room007 Chueca Hostel

This is the perfect place for a cheap city trip with friends. The location is fantastic and very close to all of Madrid’s main attractions. Room is big enough and could use a private locker to safely store personal items.

The room was cleaned on a daily basis, however, it was unfortunately extremely smelly the very first day due to some roommate's shoes left inside. The bed was not the most confortable. Apparently the staff decided to switch bed numbers during my stay, which was a bit confusing for everyone. The hostel does not have a place to chill/relax or have a coffee.

The location was amazing, the staff really welcoming and friendly and they gave me a free upgrade. The price I paid was really good and I loved the bathroom was INSIDE each and every room. The place was clean, tidy and spacious. The pillow was super comfy and the duvet and sheets clean and comfortable too. The shower was hot and clean, the toilet was clean too. There were no issues. Even free soap/body wash/shampoo on the wall and the lifts worked great.

Honestly I was pretty happy with it all. My bed squeaked a bit but it was absolutely fine

We booked months in advance and specifically asked to all stay in the same room, then arrived and were told that there weren’t rooms with 3 spaces available, so we all had to sleep separately. Some reception staff were a bit rude but we expected this based on previous reviews and they probably don’t get paid very much. Bit weird that sinks were in the main part of the dorm so I mostly didn’t brush my teeth at night to avoid waking people up. Breakfast at €5.50 is a bit pricey

The staff were extremely friendly helpful. Facilities and especially beds were very clean. The showers and toilets in the dorm were clean and gave some privacy. Lockers were available for each guest. A reading light and power socket were provided for every bunk, so great for recharging or a quiet bit of late night reading or music [with headphones] in your own bed. Also easy access to stairs for conditioning exercise, 😀 and a well place lift for luggage or wheelchair access to room.

The shower water and handwash basin were on timed push buttons, and the water was mostly cold or lukewarm during my stay. It probably took me a longer time and more water to shower as it kept turning off. Disappointing. A hot shower would have made this place a more pleasant experience.

I liked the rooms and also the staff who were friendly. Being in the city centre is a great advantage. The rooms were quite clean, and everywhere in the hostel. Well decorated and highly recommended.

I didn't like the fact that there was no hot water to take the shower. even the wash hand basins did not have a hot water. While trying to shower, I kept waiting for the water to get hot which it didn't. Also you have to keep pressing the tap while having a shower

The best part was the staff, the receptionist when I arrived was wonderful and cheerful; and the manager Alberto was marvelous. I am so glad I stayed at this hostel, the customer service was top notch. He was understanding and supportive. Thank you! I stayed in a recently modified room with 4 bunker beds and a private bathroom. I must say the experience was pleasant and the design was well done, the only thing I would change was to add curtains in the top beds as they will help with privacy and to avoid waking up other guests due to light. I stayed on the bottom bed, with fully covering curtains, I have a very light sleep and the experience was very agreeable.

The only thing I didn’t like has nothing to do with the hostel. People who stay at hostels sometimes lack certain level of education. I hope people who read my comment will take this into consideration. Please be considerate and use a soft ringtone as an alarm and only once. You don’t need to wake up the whole room at 6am :)

My recent stay at the hostel left me with several positive impressions. The cleanliness of both the room and beds was impeccable, creating a comfortable environment. I particularly appreciated the stylish design of the rooms and the overall hostel, contributing to a visually pleasing experience. The opportunity to meet new friends and the social atmosphere enhanced my stay, and the staff's helpfulness added to the welcoming vibe. The overall design of the hostel was cool and appealing, and the quality of the food served met my expectations..

However, there is room for improvement in catering to specific dietary needs. As a Muslim guest, I found the options for halal food to be limited. It would be great if the hostel could expand its menu to provide more choices for individuals with specific dietary preferences

Location and the restaurant. Federico who works on the bar was very kind and accomodating.

The room needs a little bit cleaning. The Ostel do not offer hair dryer. We ask the reception for this and she said that they only have 2 hair dryer which is not available for the moment. The next day early in the morning I went back to ask the hair dryer is now available and she said yes. But she needs 20€ for a deposit. So I return to my room to get money. When I come back and hand over the money the receptionist after a minute told me that they don’t have the hair dryer. What???

Good location that was pretty close to Chueca train station and I mostly walked to all the sights/sites in Madrid. I got a private room with my own bathroom and shower, which was great and they upgraded me to a bigger one so very roomy with really cool decorations on the walls. Beautiful balcony from the bedroom. Staff polite and helpful when able. I felt safe walking alone around the suburb at night.

Centrally controlled air conditioning so you couldn’t adjust if it was too hot or cold which meant I woke up multiple times in the night. Shower and sink taps are those automatic push in/out ones, so taking a shower was annoying as you had to keep pressing the tap again and again until the water was hot and then to keep the water going whilst showering. Check in process was automated so line up with only two kiosks can be long if lots of people checking in at the same time. Staff had limited knowledge about some tourist activities, travel arrangements. No activities such as walking tours, like other hostels I’ve been to.

I loved this place. The interior decoration was very nice, the location was in a very pleasant neighbourhood of the city, the room had a private bathroom, with not only bed linens but also towels included. The hostel is also conveniently connected to a restaurant/bar, where you can enjoy food and drinks till late hours, and what is crucial, allows you to purchase a basic, but all you can eat breakfast as early as 8:00h, which I find rare for Madrid and proved invaluable for me, since I had a morning flight.

That I only stayed there for one night :) Loved it!
