The welcome was very warm, staff anticipated needs and were so happy to help. The room was great - just what I needed with the bonus of a TV (I didn't expect that). Good shower and nice soft towels provided. The location was perfect for me - walking distance from where the airport bus drops off (by the town hall). 24 hour bakery and other eateries and mini-marketa available on the doorstep. Metro station just outside.

I can honestly say I can't fault anything about this hostal. I would encourage people to not assume things will be below standard because the price is below average.

This place is is in an excellent location in Madrid. This is a small place I had a double room with my own bathroom which was clean and spacious. Even though it looked over the main street, some may find it noisy as it faces the main street (it could also depend on the location of your room), however, this did not bother me as I was there to experience Madrid and the local experience. If you are there for the hustle and bustle of the location this place is perfect. The hotel is on the first floor, 1 mins walk from Noviciado Station and 8 mins walk from Plaza Espana, 7- 8mins walk from Tribual and 15mins walk to Gran Via. If you are coming from the airport just jump on the metro system it is linked well. Yeni (pronounced Jeni) who manages the place is lovely, friendly and very helpful. There is plenty to do in the area, tourist spots, history, coffee shops, vintage / clothing and bars and restaurant. Great evening scene and friendly neighbourhood.

The location was excellent, the beds were comfortable and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms at the back are more quiet but the front one has a nice street outlook.

Be careful about booking a room in the brand new wing if it has an indoor window as the automatic hall lights went on/off all night and lit up the bedroom.

Cleanliness, location and excellent staff. Special mention goes to Adelina who was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Hostal was well-located. Literally steps away from Noviciado metro station. Close enough to Sol and Plaza de España without being chaotic. Very cool cafes and shops in the immediate vicinity on Noviciado.

Good location in the center of Madrid, right next to a subway station. Good facilities for the price and very amicable staff. It's next to a food vending place open 24/7. Everything was clean and ordely.

The street right next to it can be extremely noisy, especially during the day. Bring earmuffs if you want to sleep during the day.

I like that was quiet, the room was cosy, clean and nice. The staff were very nice, helpful, funny, very cool women :-)

The first encounter with a staff, a young lad, I called for help because i couldnt find the place, a guy wasnt open to speak english, and i would understand anxiety but he wasnt even trying to understand and didnt feel welcomed when i got inside and all admin was done by him, however the women there saved all my experience the next day, they were funny, supportive and amazing. Also more signs to the hotel would be helpful.

They are super kind and have such a nice hospitality! The room was clean and tidy which made me feel like so comfortable :) Also they kept my luggage after checking out. I will definitely to come and stay here when I visit in Madrid.

Staff made our stay special as they were really friendly and helpful. The room was small, but it suited us perfectly. They provide towels, hair dryer and shower products. Everything was very clean and the location was great, in the city center and a few steps away from the metro.

As our room was beside the entrance and the reception, it was a bit noisy during the night, but nothing that bothered that much.

Very good value for money, and a comfortable, clean room. I liked the location, and felt safe walking around here as a lone female traveller.

Guests should note the property is quite compact, so there may be some noise from other guests. If you are sensitive to this it would be good to bring ear-plugs.

The location was great, very close to everything, including the metro, historical center, and the stores.

The drain in the shower did not function properly, so we had to shower in a rising puddle that disappeared only a couple of minutes after we finished.
