I recently stayed at Hostal Laura for a week's holiday with my husband. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, offering great advice on local attractions and dining options. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained—everything was sparkling clean, from the rooms to the common areas. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of Madrid. You're just steps away from fantastic restaurants, shops, and all the major sights, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The building also features a lift. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid.

First of all, I highly recommend this hotel. This is a 2 stars but more of a 3 stars hotel. I was checking it out as I have a hiking/travel business and was looking for a place to stay with my clients when I travel to Spain. - The staff are wonderful, Inna in particular is extremely nice, smily, welcoming and helpful. The gentleman at night was nice too and the cleaning staff were very lovely. - I travel once or twice per month around the world and this was probably the cleanest hotel I have been to. - The shower is extremely powerful - Aircon/ heating were working great - It is right in the city centre and surrounded by train stations - Room decoration was great - Fast Internet connection - Supermarket in the next street and off licence next to the front door - You can leave your luggage with them if you arrive before checking time, Inna also ensure that you know that you can use the toilet if needed. Overall a wonderful stay. I will go back with my clients.

- Well, I am a light sleeper and it could get really noisy even though we were away from the reception, we slept with the window open and could hear the lift overnight so bring earplugs. My partner did not get bothered. Just a suggestion - The TV has a lot of channels but all Spanish, it might be good to have a few in English, French, and maybe German for tourists.

Definitely, this is the best place to stay in Madrid! First of all the building is located on the beautiful Gran Via, very close to the Callao metro station (2-3 minutes walk). Rooms are small but very comfortable, lovely decorated, sheets are white like snow, comfortable bed and pillows. It's one of the cleanest place I've ever stayed! Cleaning is done every day! Staff is very nice and always eager to help you. As we've been there on Valentine's Day ... after cleaning we've found the room nice decorated and got a small gift and a card wishing Happy Valentine's Day! I like people doing small thing to make your stay very pleasant. I recommend this place as it has all you need ... close to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Espana, Plaza Cibeles ... all at a walking distance. Tapas bars, restaurants, cafeterias, stores ... all around you. Thank you Hostal Lauria for our pleasant stay, for sure on our next visit will choose you once again!

The location is super central, couldn't have been better.It is accessible to everything. The room size was fine and comfortable, had a nice little balcony. The hotel cleanliness was very good. The staff, especially Inna was very helpful supportive and resourceful. Will definitely book again when going to Madrid, and I recommend it to everyone.

Only that sometimes you get noise from neighbours rooms, but wasn't a big turnoff. The hotel is on a main street, sometimes you get police sirens, but it was fine, didn't bother us.

Very nice Hostel. Excellent location close to the Metro station and a 24 hours supermarket. The room is big and nicely decorated. Very clean. There is a small fridge with water for the guests and coffee and tea making facilities. I stayed in a single room with a spacious bed and window facing a very quiet backyard. I received a message before I arrived with detailed explanation of how to get to the place by metro from the airport and it helped me so much, thank you very much for this service

It is a shame that some guests do not respect the hostel policy that prohibits smoking in the rooms and you can fill the smell of cigarettes in the corridor that enters the room (especially at night). Maybe if the managers of the place will severely fined these guests it will be stoped

I have already stayed here, so I wasn't really surprised by what it is a very good budget option, probably a cut above many similarly priced venues in the same city centre area. The place looks like it has been refurbished not that long ago. It is very clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The location is excellent on La Gran Via and close to everything there.

There isn't much that I didn't like here, the only thing I'd say relates to the building where it's in, that it's one of those historic ones, and hence the lift is very small, but this is just a very small bother.

Friendly reception staff, comfortable bed, fridge in the room with complementary water & wine, good wifi, the room and bathrooms were clean, I didn't find it too noisy (other reviews complained about the thin walls) but you could hear people as they entered and left in the hallway - doesn't bother me though. The terrace was cute and the window/doors blocked out the majority of the street noise.

The room wasn't very spacious and I found it a little cramped when trying to move around, but really this was a minor detail since we weren't there to spend time in the room. Also, the building's lower floors were undergoing renovations and the hammering started before 7am on Monday morning.

A central hostel (metro station callao) that in 4 days we only used metro once! Very clean and spotless. We couldnt be happier with our choice. Warm although the temperature outside was 0. We were able to leave our luggage in a storage room. Inna and the other man in the reception was very polite and nice.

In the small double we stayed in there was a problem with the toiler door, You could easily be locked in. Nothing else at all besides that the building is historical and you must expect thin walls and a narrow elevator.

The location was exceptional. Everything was either a simple walk or a short metro ride away. Also the general service, the helpfulness of the staff and the simple yet efficient additions in the room such as complimentary coffee and drinks made it a definite favourite.

I personally loved everything, but if anybody is picky about the AC, if you prefer it at polar degrees like 17 degrees celcius on maximum power or so, you might be uncomfortable here. The AC does not go below 21 degrees celsius or so and Madrid can get HOT. For me their AC system was a perfect match because I can only be comfortable at higher temps with the slightest fan power, and it was such a natural conditioning system, it was really efficient and it refreshed and cooled the room without making it too dry or windy I really really loved it.

The location is great, next to subway stations, points of interest and it has a 24/7 supermarket in the corner. All of this already makes Lauria a great choice, besides, the room was just perfect, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They gave us a map with recommendations, we did the check-in a bit earlier aaaand, when we did the check-out they let us leave the luggage there free of charge, and let us know that we could use the bathroom throughout the day, and if we did some shopping we could leave the bags as well. And they left wine, chocolate and water in the fridge. Madrid is a great city with a great tourist service culture, and Lauria is the perfect reflection of that.
