The Hotel was perfect for our six day last minute decision to visit Madrid. Eva and all the staff at the Macarena were attentive to our needs and even took the extra effort to move is into a slightly larger room with a better view. Each room appears to have its own personality. The rooms were very clean, the towels were lovely, the shower delightful, and the bed was perfect after a long day of discovering the city. We did not take advantage of the Breakfast in as much as we were on the go each morning but it looked wonderful and it was served in a very nice dining room. The Hotel also has a very nice rooftop bar with a city view. We will be back!

No issues at all - never having been to Madrid before our expectations were exceeded by this wonderful find of a hotel in the midst of the busy Gran Via.

The hotel's location is very central, we walked the whole trip as we were always a short walk away from an interesting attraction, restaurant, bar or boutique. The staff is adorable and always ready to help, we had 0 complaints our whole stay and felt so well there that we paid for a late check-out so we could enjoy the hotel on our last day too. The rooftop bar and pool were such a nice place to hang out and again, the staff there was always delightful. Our room looked exactly like the photos, was comfortable and quiet. The bed was exquisite and we enjoyed some peaceful nights and slept in almost everyday. The mini-bar was packed with snacks and drinks, we had a kettle with tea and coffee on hand in the room. The cleaning service was there every day, we decided to have it only once or twice during our stay as everything was squeaky clean.

Nothing, really! The room's WC could use a bit more privacy (it's separate from the rest by a glass door so you could hear everything), but that's about it.

The location was perfect! The staff were incredible and the rooms were great. The bed was super comfy as well and the only time I heard the neighbouring room was when he was singing extremely loudly in the shower lol. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Only thing was that I didn't get my water and delicious chocolate cookies refilled on the second day. The cookies were amazing and I was looking forward to another pack. But that's not a real criticism.

It took me a little while to work out the different light switches, but that is my only mild criticism.

What is not to like. From the outside it is a little unassuming. But once you are inside it is really amazing decorated in a modern art deco. The reception, breakfast room is on the 9th floor and the roof top terrace on the 10th floor with a plunge pool and great views over the city. The rooms and facilities were fabulous, clean and the beds extremely comfortable with great bedding. Check in and check out was easy and the staff just super friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the middle of the Gran Vía and super convenient for all attractions, restaurants and bars. The thing that really stands out above everything was the staff, whilst everyone was just fantastic we have to give a special shout out to all the staff working on the roof top bar. They went out of their way and above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make out stay A memorable one. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Nothing to say everything was phenomenal

The room was very clean and we had cleaning service every day which was great. The location is very central! Right in the middle of the shopping street and walking distance to all monuments. The hotel is also walking distance from most of the main restaurants and bar and of course Madrid's night life. The hotel also has a rooftop with beautiful views over the city. Last, the hotel has security at the entrance which makes the stay feel more safe.

The show and bathroom had a glass door which could be uncomfortable for some people. There was no door to separate the bathroom from the main room. The shower had a glass door which you could see everything through it and the toilet had a tinted glass door which provided some privacy but not fully.

Breakfast was great , staff very friendly and helpful , location was central but in a very busy area of Madrid. Roof top bar was fun, decor of hotel was fun and hip.

Room was small. Reception was on the ninth floor but that meant the breakfast area was on the same level and there was a deck off it with a view. Roof top bar was on the level above reception. When I booked the hotel I hadn’t realised that Gran Via ( the hotel’s location)was such a busy area of Madrid and a main road. In saying that , it was a very central area and a walk to many places- the Palace, the Prado, plaza Mayor etc.

Amazing location, good breakfast, nice terrace with bar and swimming pool. Powerful shower and comfortable bed. Stylish facilities. All in all, very good, if a little pricey.

The room didn't have a lot of space to hang wet towels, the lighting was kind of tricky to figure out, the USB-A sockets on the walls are already outdated. No views from the windows. The bathroom is in the room, only separated by glass doors. Anyway, I'm nitpicking, it was a comfortable stay and the great location and nice terraces in the 9th and 10th floors more than made it up to the little flaws of the room.

Already at the reception we were welcomed with a bottle of cava and in the room there were snacks, coffee and tea set. The room is really nicely decorated and spacious. On the roof floor, an amazing atmosphere with a view overlooking the vibrant city and excellent music in the background with a bar for cocktails and drinks. The location of the hotel is just perfect. Situated in the most central street. A short walk to all shops and famous sites

I didn't like the fact that there is no door separating the bedroom from the bathroom and shower. Especially if you are traveling with a friend and not a partner. I had no privacy

I had an amazing stay in this hotel. I think it was worth it spending few more € to have a room with a view on Grand Via, really great (and no noise when window is close). Location is PERFECT, close & walking distance from all major touristic sites, with the metro few meters away. Shops are all around. You are in between nice districts to hang out during the night. The breakfast was good - not a lot of options but honestly way enough to be happy :) Special comment for the ladies at the reception at night: they were just simply amazing - thank you so much. They took time to advise me on where to go in Madrid, good spots for restaurants / bars and activities. The rooftop is really an amazing spot - you can enjoy a wonderful sunset with a cocktail

Nothing! I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Quality for price was great. Side comment: would be good to have a Gym room for instance
